    Thanks for this. I've not long since bought a new sim rig and pc for racing games. Grabbed this monitor and these settings have brought it alive

    Thanks for the settings.
    If you have everything at your disposal available at the max settings (refresh rate, response, colors, availability of HDMI 2.1 on graphics card, cables, etc) would you use HDMI 2.1 or DP1.4a which one would you pick for a PC?

    • @PCMonitors
      @PCMonitors  3 місяці тому +3

      DP, because as noted in the video that's the only way you'll get 160Hz on this model.

      You probably have HDR active on your PS5 - see the HDR section of the video and see if the options looks similar.

      If a cable is included it will be a straightforward DisplayPort cable.

    I have an ASUS VG289Q IPS panel 28' inches 4K 60hz ¿would you recommend this monitor for an upgrade? Is for Xbox series x and PS5 use

      @PCMonitors  26 днів тому

      Apples and oranges really - best to watch the review and see what you think of the monitor. Contrast will be stronger and you'll get 120Hz support, plus better immersion. But you've got weaker pixel responses and generally worse colour performance.

    I am trying to set up the monitor like you have it, i have turned the overlocking on with DP, and it will no longer let me alter the settings and keeps changing the contrast to blind me every time i swap tabs. any help on it? also if you know, when i use the monitor and scroll through any text (e.g UA-cam comments) it creates a huge blur/ghosting effect. Many Thanks

      Sounds like you're running in HDR. And per the review the monitor has significant pixel response weaknesses.

    I’ve just bought this monitor any help on setting it up with XBSX the screen goes black when trying to select 4k 120hz? Thanks

    • @PCMonitors
      @PCMonitors  2 місяці тому +1

      @@dylanjames5980 It supports that resolution appropriately, so not sure why it's not working. Maybe try toggling Adaptive-Sync on and off.

      @ I’ve tried everything … all ticks on the section screen for what modes the monitor can handle (4k @ 120hx) Xbox for compatible resolutions etc … it’ll go into 4k 60hz but when trying to select the 120hz option screen goes black & comes saying it’s not compatible which is confusing in itself.
      Any tips guys before it gets sent back?
      Thanks for the reply dude appreciate it👍🏼

      @dylanjames5980 Really odd. Not sure what else you could do. Might be worth power cycling the monitor just in case (leave it connected to the Xbox, unplug power from monitor and wait a few mins before plugging back in). And are you using a proper "Ultra High Speed" (certified) HDMI 2.1 cable?

      @Smiff1 @dylanjames5980 Mine has just arrived today and i ran through the setting above, even turning on the 120hz mode...I had the frame rate showing in the corner and it said 120fps in COD BO6. Switched to Netflix and it said 60 fps, so Dylan, it is working for me...did you get yours sorted or did you end up sending it back? The 120fps would require the game on xbsx to actually offered that refresh rate, which COD does...

    Hi i have the same monitor but why i just get 1920x1080 and 120hz how can i make it 4k and 160hz?

    • @windchiller6951
      @windchiller6951 Місяць тому

      Right click anywhere on the windows desktop and click "Display settings" then once it brings you into the settings for it, look towards the bottom of the list with some blue text saying "Advanced display options" or whatever its worded as and you'll see how to do it from there.

      The 160hz is able to be done by what the guy shows in the video just follow what he did just beware enabling overclocking will decrease the lifespan overall as it draws more power

    Hi, just got this monitor. Any idea why i cant get the HDR to work on my Ps5 pro or Xbox series X? Just tells me the monitor doesn't support it.

    • @PCMonitors
      @PCMonitors  21 день тому

      It definitely does support it (though per the review it's not a good HDR experience) so no idea why it's telling you that. It's telling you on the system I assume, when you try to enable HDR? Make sure you haven't enabled a setting that would kill off HDR support, like MPRT Sync.
