Edit: the pen works like a normal pen but the storage is just to hold the beads, it doesn't dispense any out like a lot of people think it does

It confused me too!!! It must be just storage? It doesn't seem as if it feeds into the pen at all, since the pen tip needs to have the sticking wax in it.

its just a way to separate them, it's helpful if you don't have any containers to keep them in

Super satisfying, though for me it's beat out by the sound of snapping a square drill into place when it's already surrounded and has to push against the others to make room. Has a snap to it.

Once you start, you can't stop. Your brain is flooded with happy endorphins, and each little click signals a squirt of serotonin. You feel happy, peaceful, and accomplished, and the plastic beads are so shiny. I thought this craft was really stupid until I gave in and tried it. It's not about the finished product -- it's the process.

Amazing! 🤩 What I never understood though is how the little diamonds 💎 always come out pressed upright when it’s in the placement pen 🖊…?!!?!?!? 🧐🤔 If I’m not mistaken, it appears the one side that goes upright onto the painting is a bit raised 💎whereas the other bottom-facing side is a bit flatter (?!) …..so how does the placement pen correctly disperse the diamonds/studs so they come out punched out on the proper side?!?!? 🤔🤓🤩😍
The pen doesn't work like that. They drills are just stored in there for looks. Its a normal diamond pen (hence using the wax in the video)

I’m an avid crafter. I make greeting cards, watercolor, make wreaths, wooden signs, Cricut projects, floral arrangements and much more. But I have yet to get into diamond painting. But after watching instagram videos of this…. It’s on my “to do now” bucket list!! Question: any tips for beginners and what types of projects to start with, as well as where to purchase supplies from? Thanks!!

All reviews for the pen are bad. People say they bought it and the beads don’t come out of the pen .. it’s just for “storage.” Makes sense because each time she puts the beads down the video it’s clipped. Look how small the point is. Not possible for them to be dispensed through that. 😅

Love how easy this looks. How does the wax get on the bottom of the diamond to make it adhere to the canvas? I so want one of these.

The canvas is sticky. That is why she cuts a small section of the cover off--just the area she is working. The wax is to pick the diamonds up with the pen and then release onto the sticky canvas.

That pen is not dispensing the drills! It does nothing but store the beads.. it doesn't dispense by itself

The pens do NOT distribute the diamonds! It’s just to store them! You will have to pick up each diamond the same way you normally would! I hate how these videos try to play it off like the pen distributes the diamonds 🙄

I tried Diamond painting, not sure if i was doing it wrong. But it frustrated me to no bitter end thati couldnt fet the diamonds PERFECTLY LINED UP. To the point it caused me more stress than anything..... i ended up giving everything away (take that back, still have the diamonds)
It looks the same even when it isn’t lined up. You’re stressing over nothing.
