Hey Tiffany, congratulations on being financial independent at such a young age. My favorite tip is tithing, because I'm so greatful to God for everything hé has done in my life, so it feels good to give him a little back in gratitude. My goal is to be able to have financial independent by 37 so that I can be able to serve God full-time and also be able to keep been a blessing to my local church and missions around the world. I'm currently doing all of these tips and they have helped me become the co-owner of a store, and just stared buying and selling gold as well, all mean while still having my regular job. Now I want to star educating my self in real state to generate another stream of income. Thanks for sharing this information with others, if they apply it to there life in a daily basis it will be a blessing to them and to there families.

Hey John, thank you! I agree, tithing makes a huge difference. Great job on your progress! :)

My favorite tip that applied to me was...set a goal. When you said you invested money, bought properties, etc. by making a goal, I thought, “Oh, instead of having my goal be save money, I should set a tangible goal.” I know it sounds obvious, but sometimes you just need to Hear. The. Words.😁. Thanks!!

Paying yourself first is important. My husband is Chinese, and his parents save about half of their income. I learned that this is normal for Asian families, which is great. I've learned a lot from them, and we plan on increasing our savings to 40% later this year.

I also love sugar cookies! People need to listen to advice like this, not the BS from the get-rich-quick "salesmen" masquerading as personal finance gurus. My wife and I are well on our way to FIRE ourselves, and of all your tips I like the simplest one the most: PAY YOURSELF FIRST. This has worked time and time again for us. If we can put that money right into a 401k or HSA before we have a chance to spend it that is so effective!

I admire your self-discipline as well as your overall approach to life. Although probably a silly question, are you continuing to save based upon the income you receive from your properties? Are you thinking of buying another rental home or are you looking to pay down the mortgages you have now? Or are you more focused on adding to your stock market portfolio?

    • @WealthyTiffany

Thanks Jeff! I keep going back and forth about buying another property because real estate has been really good for me so, but I just haven't decided yet so I'm saving up until I decide! :)
