She didn't let the ex wife get her credit and removed her name. Meaning she will be keeping the credit and royalties if any, that should have been shared with the ex wife.
Mother in Law had a right to will her money. You don't get to decide whom she or he should give her/his money. She willed it to EX wife as compensation for divorce. Ex is poor too and even had to let the custody of the child go at the moment because of it. DIL also took care of her well for years. But still Ex is being considerate in refusing. Husband cheated on her and divorced her for third party. She took a second part time job to be able to have a suitable home to live with kid. MIL gave her money to ex because she felt she was wronged.
In the end Ex didn't take that and instead gave her own money from second job to cheating husband and she didn't even attend the funeral service because of the mistress. So MIL's love for her ex DIL was for a reason.
