I noticed that she transformed their small place into somewhere so beautiful to want to come home to for him. She is so hardworking to achieve what she wants - buying paint for a 'diy' job isn't simple but like most people willing to do a hard job the task is dummied down so it's thought there wasn't much to it for the doer. She thought he was like her and said after they marry she will get a job too, so they can strive and thrive together to have what they want. A woman like this wouldn't want a man who dates for money - and how will she ever know how far he was willing to go beyond being just a companion. Either way he's a gigolo. He should have known when he came home and found her scraping the wall to paint and her explanation - that his 'work' made him unsuitable for such a traditional homeland girl. He would have done better if he wanted a Chinese woman to get one second, third, etc...generation American, so wholly assimilated. This woman is fresh from home and not conformed... even his boss eyeing her attire said she wasn't adhering to her new country's ways - later adding that she is the same about getting a coveted green card. If he loves her should she forget forgive and stay?🤷♀️ I think he could have told her about himself before she consented to come or at least when she arrived. If...it is indeed innocent and just a job to make ends meet. And, if this is all it was then trust was broken over what amounts to nothing. She may have uncondemningly understood whether she chose to be with him or not. Just a thought... .
