I'd say play Maokai top vs Jax. I'm pretty good at Jax but played few days ago vs Maokai top he was even autofill i think and i didnt even have a chance. I'd like Haxors opinion, but for me seems that Jax is not blind pickable if they are gonna counter with Maokai.
I’ve played the Maokai matchup, it isn’t all that bad. Pretty similar to Gragas or Malphite. I’d recommend conq or grasp and rushing ravenous, you shouldn’t ever really die to him. Just never q on him first and you have a free lane, if he qs you for poke then you can jump on him and trade hard. Otherwise just look for w poke and farm
I loved it when the enemy Jax entered Evasion, a defensive stance, for up to two seconds, causing all non-turret basic attacks against him to miss
