Insane quality, clearly very knowledgeable. The way you explain your reasoning behind every decision is very clear and concise. Jax has always been a very solid pick and has been my favorite champion since 2009 (almost fanatically 😅). I've only ever played him in the jungle but this guide is universally useful for any Jax main. Thanks for the excellent (and free) content. 👍

absolutely love this format. as a returning player (barely played since about S5) the game has completely changed so taking the opportunity to jump from a support main to a top main seeing as i have to relearn the game anyway. Really appreciate the classroom session at the start as well as explaining your thinking during the games, as a lot of "guides" are just arrogant, humblebraggy gameplay of them getting an early kill and snowballing rather than actually explaining the details.
That mobifire guide in the description might quite literally be the coolest thing I ever seen, catched a like and a follower.

In silver elo when I’m ahead as top I struggle A LOT to position properly if enemy Bot is fed. Is it more important then to get T2s or fight with my teammates (if I know without me they’ll get stomped)? Because at a certain point even if I am 10/1 and enemy ADC is 5/2 I will get smoked either cause of cc or her support. Thanks :)
@@FabioZen Haha yeah this is a problem that all top laners face. It can be hard to balance split pushing and teamfighting and there's not really a one size fits-all answer to the question aha. Lately I've been prioritizing grouping over splitting and it's worked more for me

Thanks bro, diamond player also on NA Super Server and I am learning jax and this really helps. I saw RangerZX (consistent EUW challenger tryndamere that sometimes mains jax) build stridebreaker second because he likes tiamat. Also you really like the third wave crash, but Alois says that 4 wave crash is significantly better because they have an easier time crashing with a level 4 advantage
Thanks man! Both crashes are pretty good. I've been doing 3wave crashes for years and I still enjoy doing them, though I do agree a 4 wave is probably better but it's also harder to time.
@@haxorrLOL I feel like one advantage the 3 wave crash has is that the 4 wave crash is way easier to fail and it is so punishing to have it be right outside turret or partially crashed and sometimes by you pushing too fast and trying to slow the wave down by not hitting the minions they can just neutralize the wave. Is a three wave crash into a tp good against someone like Riven?
@@riceislife6487 Exactly - basically, when you go for 4 wave crash if you mess it up then both laners will be lvl 3 but opponent will be by their tower, so it puts you in a bad spot and also vulnerable to ganks. Never tp back on a 3wave crash, always walk! Unless they fast push

I'm glad you mentioned the "no Jax jokes" comment at the start. As someone who has loved Jax since S1 it is legit painful to see how the discourse around Jax has turned into really gross jokes acting like Jax himself is somehow the same as some infamous people who are known to main him.
I definitely think your comments about the keystone runes were perfect. With how many ranged top laners I see now, talking about Fleet was a really important mention. Great video in general man, instantly subbed.

That was a rough start to the video because of how simple the initial information is, but the matchup/team fights reviews were excellent content. You should review more of your own matchups and do the same, explaining your game plan, trade patterns and mid-game decision, that was really great.
Eh I figure that's how a guide should be - pretty hard to be super detailed with summoner spells lol. But the rune page discussion is pretty in depth. Thank you either way!

a good way to do edits on past streams is have your files from OBS or whatever you use saved, and then you can actually mute your voice track and watch the old video with sound!

Not much but you can R mid Q. And early in the laning phase when enemy is low you can fake shoving wave with E, then R into flash, E, AA, W. People never expect R flash

Thanks man! I use temple Jax pretty much every game unless people complain that I use it too much 😂 but I tend to not use the ones where the animations are changed like god staff, I like the older skins

What is your opinion on Absorb Life for the lane phase? Also what about Titanic Hydra for splitpush and extra hp?
I think absorb life is pretty bad in most situations. I never build titanic but I know some Jax players do! I think there’s better items though

Do I have to end the game before my enemy opponent reaches level 18? I feel like I'm only strong vs champs under 18.
It just depends on the matchup man, some champs you'll be late game and others you won't haha

i haven’t gotten to the split push section yet so forgive me if you already cover it but is there anyone that jax loses to in a late game duel?
No worries dude! I don't really cover late game duels much, no. There are quite a few champs that will beat Jax late game, as he doesn't have true dmg like lots of other champs have. If both champs are even in items (4-5 in late game) then Jax will lose to Gwen, Fiora, Garen, Darius, Riven, Gangplank, Kennen, Mundo, and lots of mages. He doesn't scale quite as hard as other people think, but is just generally strong at all stages of the game.

Hmm. I've never tried it and it sounds pretty horrendous, not because of HOB but because domination tree sounds pretty awful for Jax. But hey it might be fun to play around with haha
@@haxorrLOL its not! its really good sudden impact and eye ball scale well with Jax too especially Laning phase. as secondary I go cut down with presence of mind, i would hope you try it and make a video on it, since no one has for AD builds
