    I just purchased my Emax 20 a month ago or so. I as well, purchased the tractor for the awesome heated cab for snow blowing and for the size of it. It’s been working great for me. Only issues I’ve had was rocks in the front blower. I have a gravel driveway and the blower dug in too much caught a rock and already bent my impeller. I had a set of longer skis welded to the shoes on the blower so it wouldn’t catch anymore. I also utilized the float on the hydraulics. Works a lot better. Thanks for your vid. You can see the short vid of me using my front mounted blower on my channel

      Fortunately, my driveway is paved so I haven't had the issue with rocks. With that said, the first couple times I used the blower I was really careful (and had the shoes down). To those who are thinking about getting this unit for snow removal, my only other caution is be prepared to go slow!! If the snow is at all wet you have to either go reasonably slow or only fill half the blower otherwise you stand a good chance of plugging and/or breaking a sheer pin. If the snow is fluffy you can move along at a pretty good clip without much issues (deepening on overall depth). And to Leslie's point I use the float as well!!

    Good looking sub-compact tractor. I was wondering if that was a factory cab and it sure does look pretty sturdy. It will be great for your snow removal and mowing lawns. I too bought my sub-compact for lawn work but I use it for other things as well. Watch yourself out on those snowy/icy days slopes. The tractor may need some ballast weight or possibly chains. Enjoyed a full-watch of your video. Hope you and family have a fine Christmas.

    My dealer in Fredericton refuses to fix a problem with the back hoe boom. Says it is normal or that I am not operating it properly.

    Do you think its possible that picking up a 4' rotary cutter could bend the top link? I just got an emax 20(2019) and the first time i picked up my rotary cutter I saw the top link was bent? How did you fin out this is a category 1N 3 point?

    • @cwg2325
      @cwg2325  4 роки тому

      I guess it could be possible to bend the top link if it wasn't set up properly (e.g. wrong length). You can find the tractor specs via the link below. As seen on page 4 under "3 point hitch" it shows the Emax 20s as a Cat 1 "Narrow" aka Cat 1N. www.mahindrausa.com/sites/default/files/New%20eMax%20Series%20Brochure%20FINAL_10.19.pdf

    Looking around at sub compacts. Did you research all them? Looking at Kioti, Massey, JD, do you feel this emax20s is powerful enough? Or would the 22 have been better

    Have reviewed your video several times. Wondering if you made any changes to your valve body to improve access. So easy to get to if you don’t have a cab. I am having my dealer make (4) 1 foot extension hoses with quick disconnects to improve access. Solving a pain in the butt problem.

      @@cwg2325 Up until this fall I had a service tech do the blower/loader swap for me twice a year. It was very convenient but this year the tech never returned my call so my wife and I completed the swap. The valve body and getting the pto shaft coupled were the most challenging aspects.

    does the mahinda emax 20 hst tractor have at least 2 extra/vacant hydraulic ports in its rear to allow a backhoe thumb with hydraulic option so the backhoe thumb can be operate hydraulically back and forth via oil and using a hand lever or pedal? thanks for any replies!

    • @cwg2325
      @cwg2325  Рік тому

      My understanding is the cab version will not accept the factory hoe. Additionally, my dealer could not mount a set of factory rear remotes due to the cab. They actually had to send them backlog and credit me. I do believe mahindra does sell factory rear remotes for things like a thumb, etc

    • @cwg2325
      @cwg2325  3 роки тому

      @@raymond3803 it mows fine. Admittedly though, if you have a small property with lots of stuff to mow around you may want to consider an alternative. The mower wheels don't spin 360 degree so if you don't pick the deck up at the end of the row the wheels can groove the ground on the turn. If I did it all over I probably would not use it to mow my small property.

      @@cwg2325 One more question please. From what I can tell, your tractor is manufactured in Korea by TYM, and rebranded as Mahindra. I'm not asking what you paid, nor is it any of my business. All new lawnmowers & small tractors are in short supply (low inventories) Prices are noticeably higher. (post covid) I found this new, left over, 2021 model w/cab & loader @ at a Wisconsin dealer. It appears to be the same machine, but it's branded as Branson. $14,500 Based on that price, should I buy?

    • @cwg2325
      @cwg2325  2 роки тому

      @@raymond3803 Admittedly, I'm unaware of the rebrand market. I have seen the Branson and it did look exactly like the Emax 20S. One nice feature the branson had that the mahindra didn't was the bucket level indicator. In regards to base price I think the only fair way to do comparisons is to find a "local" mahindra dealer and get a price on the same spec tractor. I think regional pricing can vary greatly (e.g. east coast near Boston compared to middle American). On the east cost $14.5K feels like a solid trade for the Branson. One note, depending on how clever you are its nice to have a supporting dealer that is relatively close. I still use my dealer for support. Just something to think about if the Branson dealer is a long ways away.

      My emax 20 used to whine really loud, I changed my hydraulic fluid, I used a good synthetic Cam 2 fluid and new filter. It drives much smoother and it really made the whine much quieter, I used to ask it if it wanted some cheese and crackers to go with that whine. I love it, has been very reliable, I have 200+ trouble free hours on it. People are always complimenting on it and asking if I would sell it? One of the best improvements I did to it was flipping the rear tires around to where it has a wider stance, made a huge difference in stability, I work it pretty hard but always keep it clean, oiled and greased and covered under an awning out of the elements when not in use, I also run a little diesel clean in fuel every few fillups, hope you are enjoying yours as well.

    So without the belly motor the three point hitch works fine?

    • @cwg2325
      @cwg2325  4 роки тому

      Ya. The cat 1 drawbar hitch works for me with no belly mower. If the drawbar was a cat 1N it would go up a little bit further but that’s not a really big deal for me.

    How do you find that reverse pedal? Hard on the ankle at all? As opposed to pedals beside eachother.

    • @cwg2325
      @cwg2325  4 роки тому

      In regards to power, the emax20 has plenty of power for me but I am a small land owner and I don't plan to run any large implements. If you want to run "power hungry" implements (e.g. post hole digger, stump grinder, etc) or you have a property that is above 7 acres I would go up in size. I looked at all the major manufacturers prior to purchasing. The reasons I bought the Mahindra are 1) Price - didn't want to pay the premium for the green paint. 2) real factory cab - the primary reason I bought a tractor was to blow snow in comfort. At the time Mahindra was the only company offering a TRUE factory cab and they offer a 36" front mount snowblower (which I wanted). Admittedly, Kubota now has a pretty nice looking field fit cab in the BX series.
      In the end, if cost isn't a driving factor and you have a decent size property I'd up size. Based on my property size the 20 HP is perfect for me. On a side note, the reverse pedal doesn't bother me but it would be easier if they were side by side.
