I love this scene because it shows Eli re-embracing his nerd side while also being a badass. He goes from giving Demetri a cold "I don't watch nerd shit" to throwing prequel memes at him as encouragement.
I still remember how Demetri was hated by many in the previous seasons of Cobra Kai. Some of the characters went from hated to loved, and some from loved to hated. Kyler, on the other hand, stayed from hated to hated to hated lol
Fun fact: Technically, this SHOULD be Robby's last time participating in a tournament. The tournaments in the Cobra Kai show take place in May as opposed to December like in the Karate Kid movies. Robby was born in February 2002, which would mean he is 17 here. The Tournament is UNDER 18 so this might sadly be the last time we see Robby fight in a tournament. Unless the writers decide to showcase adult tournaments
18 year olds are allowed to compete, under [age] most of the time mean [age] AND under, doesn't make sense but most of the people on my football teams growing up were the age that it was supposedly "under". Also an in canon argument would be that Daniel competed in what would've been his first year of college.
He didn’t QUITE hold his own, considering he technically didn’t score any points against Robby. But he still did great. At least he advanced to the semifinals.
0:23 Eli's affection and deep admiration for Demetri really pours out of his eyes, it's so sweet. And for a massive nerd like Eli to analogise that Demetri is in any way like Obi-Wan is practically a romantic confession, especially after the events of previous two seasons.
Fun fact: People like Demetri are actually a lot more common in karate classes than you would think. There are a lot of office dudes that benefit greatly in more then one way from doing this type of training.
in fact demetri personality is one of the "role model" student you want, because if you take out how paranoid he is he would be the one you look to your classes, thinkg about, he isnt a troublemaker, he knows that HE NEEDS KARATE, he have some flaws but want to be better, rejects violence and want dialogue as 1st option
Watching this reminds me of what Eunice Kennedy Shriver said on 26 July 1986 at the opening of the First Special Olympics. "In ancient Rome, the gladiators went into the arena with these words on their lips: let me win, but if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt."
0:54 that part remind me of Terry Silver, Demetri fight style can be like Terry Silver's, dude is tall he only needs more practice and to be more aggressive

Edit:Holy crap!!!Almost 70 likes on this comment?!?!As far as I know that’s the highest I’ve gotten!!!!LET’S GOOOO!🔥🔥🔥
Ironic when this continuation (KK didn’t really need one) is done better than a billion dollar franchise aka Star Wars
Robby throughout most of this season was basically Anakin but also there was still light in him - taking Kenny under his wing etc
@@Bijo69 indeed
@@_jshedits_ Exactly!I liked Robby’s arc this season!!🔥
Although my favorite story arc of the whole freaking season was Hawk. That was awesome character development!Plus, even though his mohawk is gone,he’s STILL HAWK!🔥🔥🔥
I know Daniel wasted the opportunity to say "may the force be with you"
I love how Robby was protecting Demetri in S2 the mall fight and here now they face off against each other and Demetri put up way a better fight
I love this scene because it shows Eli re-embracing his nerd side while also being a badass. He goes from giving Demetri a cold "I don't watch nerd shit" to throwing prequel memes at him as encouragement.
Eli looks at Demetri with so much love, it's really adorable
I still remember how Demetri was hated by many in the previous seasons of Cobra Kai. Some of the characters went from hated to loved, and some from loved to hated. Kyler, on the other hand, stayed from hated to hated to hated lol
My first watch of this i was so hyped seeing demtri doing taunts 0:56 was my favorite lol Robby is just at a different level
0:50 that block to takedown combo was clean as fuck
They should bring in adult tournaments
@@ehs1452 , Daniel graduated high school a year early so he was 17 in his second all valley
@@agnikaineverdies7646 how do you know he graduated early?
If he’s born in 2002 how is he only 17 lol
There was so many Star Wars references with Demetri i swear 😂
Hope they become friends again next season
There already friends?
What are you talking about
@@ilovejaypop7380 robby and demetri never had anything against eachother
Out of most of the Miyagi Dos, Demetri and Robby don't really have bad blood in comparison to Sam or Daniel.
@@andypham1451 exactly
Demitri remembered about the high ground
Demetri was catching so many W's this season, Yasmine and now held his own vs a much more skillful opponent.
He didn’t QUITE hold his own, considering he technically didn’t score any points against Robby. But he still did great. At least he advanced to the semifinals.
@@andrewp.stewart4585 at least he didn’t get the Kyler treatment. Losing very easily
@@aniocitex1131 Kyler got straight up clowned 😂
0:23 Eli's affection and deep admiration for Demetri really pours out of his eyes, it's so sweet. And for a massive nerd like Eli to analogise that Demetri is in any way like Obi-Wan is practically a romantic confession, especially after the events of previous two seasons.
0:51 In this moment is showed that Demetry are more strong that it looks.
it helps a lot that he's lanky
Fun fact: People like Demetri are actually a lot more common in karate classes than you would think. There are a lot of office dudes that benefit greatly in more then one way from doing this type of training.
in fact demetri personality is one of the "role model" student you want, because if you take out how paranoid he is he would be the one you look to your classes, thinkg about, he isnt a troublemaker, he knows that HE NEEDS KARATE, he have some flaws but want to be better, rejects violence and want dialogue as 1st option
Demitri was holding back here. He learned how to do the pressure point technique from reading the scroll.
no he wasn't lmao he was going all out and none of the students know the pressure point technique as far as I'm concerned
"You have the high ground"
Be mindful youngling, that ground belongs to master kenobi and no one else
i kind of like seeing him embracing his nerd roots again
Watching this reminds me of what Eunice Kennedy Shriver said on 26 July 1986 at the opening of the First Special Olympics.
"In ancient Rome, the gladiators went into the arena with these words on their lips: let me win, but if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt."
0:27 Ralph gets slightly more Italian in dialogue with Gianni, naturally
Demetri shows no fear to Robby as you can see
Demitri put up a good fight though I was hoping he would eventually score one point just for it to be a little more badass
0:54 that part remind me of Terry Silver, Demetri fight style can be like Terry Silver's, dude is tall he only needs more practice and to be more aggressive
Translation: "you got the reach on him Demitri, keep Robbie at a distance, and when you see an opening, no matter how small, take the strike."
i think that demetri earned robbys respect this season, because when they used to train together in s2 he saw demetri that he wasnt capable of stretching the leg to kick and the fact that he reached semis and the fact that HE PUT HIM ON DEFENSE was a great achievement and develop
The fact that he took on ROBBY KEENE and was able to get him on the mat is impressive, I'm hoping to see him make some MAJOR achievements during the Barcelona tournament.
Demitri is very relatable.
Everyone hates him
@@RandomSkyeRosesyou shouldn't say everybody, you should say "I hate him"
@@GodDoom99 I don't hate him even though he could be annoying. Everyone else in the fandom hates him though
@@RandomSkyeRoses damn, never realized the fandom hated him.
@@GodDoom99 See for yourself. The hate is strong
With a bit more of Eagle Fang Demetri could've won this fight. So proud of Demetri, gave such a good fight against someone as strong as Robby.
Maybe score a point yh but not beat Robby
daniel really told demitri to breathe and expected that to help
I‘m so proud of him
Even the high ground couldn't make Demetri win.
One of my fav fights; Demitri didn't just believe in himself and win, that woulda been boring, he believed in himself and lost gracefully. He made Robby work for that win and honestly had him on the ropes for a bit there.
Demetri has the sickest fighting stance out of all the characters.
This guy needs some credits, he's not the best fighter BUT he took down robby which is one of the most strongest fighter in ck history
😂😂😂
Aside from getting soundly spanked by Robby, Demitri was the most improved.
So proud of Demetri he was so scared when we met him even more than Eli, because at least Eli tried early.
Yo props to Demitri for making it that far in the All Valley…
hawk: cool it with the nerd shit
season 4: talks about nerd shit
