skyflakes were my life as a kid. We ate them as a default snack when nothing else was around. I still miss the tins. They use plastic or carboard boxes now and all the old tins have random crap in it like those cookie tins.
I just ate some strawberry flavored kitkat yesterday that I got from Japan Expo It's supposedly available nowhere else outside Japan! But good to hear it's in the US now, I'll have to buy some more flavors when I go back to the US, I haven't tasted green tea yet
Where are you referring to exactly? I bought my strawberry kitkats for 5 euros and there were only 6 kitkat bars inside! That's pretty expensive. I could get an entire burger for around 5 euros
ok, where are you at? because saying you have it in your area doesn't mean anything if we don't know where it's available x.x i'm in Paris, fr and I haven't seen it anywhere yet but I also haven't gone to many Asian stores
+Frangelica Lay They are one of my favorite childhood snacks ! They sell them in Russia and Belarus :) I used to buy them often when I lived in Russia ! The strawberry and banana flavored ones are good too !
+nonie Nabil You should also try all the other flavours! There are so many of them.. Like strawberry, vanilla, dark choklate, cheesecake, applecrumble, pumpkin, azuki-beans.....
What about the coconut wafers glazed with sugary goodness? The wrapped up hard candies available in chocolate, coffee, and coconut-coated-strawberry flavors?
My aunt would bring us some Tomoe Ame candy which was wrapped in rice paper. the box said there was an "amusing toy" inside. In the present day, this candy comes with stickers inside instead because the small toy inside is now considered a choking nazard.
Thank you definitely gonna buy those asian snacks I've forgotten about haha. Btw in Singapore we have mameee which is just instant noodles, fried and stored in a package. :)
Vietnamese too! Born and raised in the U.S. But that hasn't been a long time (I'm 10) can you speak/write Vietnamese? Are you guys from Vietnam or the U.S.?
+Leslie Bui My parents can speak English, but not very well, but A LOT of Vietnamese. Whenever they talk about something that we can't know, I basically understand almost EVERYTHING they say and tell my 2 brothers.
Idk, I don't really like Skyflakes... I'm probably the only native person who's ever said that, though... (sorrymomanddad...Andgrandmaandmy40auntsandunclesandgodparents... ^^"") But our mangos are amazing. (so proud of home country) ouo
Green Tea MOCHI ice cream is so good AND GREEN TEA ANYTHING IS GREAT in my opinion green tea ice cream is my favorite ice cream and I am lactose intolerant😭😂😏
How to make your own Mochi! *i got this idea from 5-minute crafts* Make dough and at powdered flavors (mango, strawberry, chocolate, vanilla!l Roll it in powdered sugar or sweet flour (sugar and flour) And then you add just a little bit of icecream and depending on the powdered flavor your mochi dough has thatswht icecream you put in it! Also have fun!
I was just considering some Sky Flakes, but they've gotten so expensive now. What about the ones that just actual sugared and spiced tamarind in the little clear box? Ha, same reason I don't buy the choco gummy. Or the mochi ice cream. Or JP KitKat. You need to cover the pink round foam-looking shrimp chips. I like those way better than the fry shape. In your last one you covered Pocky. My favourite was the five fruit (goka) flavour. They d/c'ed it and basic Pocky hasn't been the same since :(
Have you guys ever tried a brand of potato chips named "chitato"? It's really good and i think you should try it (sorry if bad grammar i'm from Indonesia)
What my parents would do with the Skyflakes plastic boxes is they'd fill them with any food that need to be refrigerated. Skyflakes are amazing.
I ate sky flakes everyday. And I still do.:)
Same thing with ice cream containers. Or worst parents will use them to keep needles and threads HAHA
I loved eating sky flakes it's alright i don't eat the whole day just only sky flakes.
