    I just learned so much. I've never been trolling before. Awesome video. When I worked at cabelas we would sell a bunch of those reef runners. Nice video!

    Reef Runner not a sponsor…… YET!!! I hope they watched this one. Great video. Very informative. How do you like those planner boards? I’ve really only used the off shore brand.

      That would be awesome! I really like them. I also don’t like my boards releasing when I have a fish on because I’m my experience I feel the board helps keep the fish hooked up ( sort of like a bobber). Thanks for watching!

    I mainly use bombers and rapalas along with the bandits and Berkeley hit sticks and shad raps those are my go to other than walleye spinners and jigs

    Nice video. Do you need a snap swivel or just a clip? They don't seem to spin. What about a clip on the lure and a swivel up th leader?
    Thanks

      That would probably be just fine if that how you want to run your leader. Thanks for watching!

    Thanks for the info. I am slowly building up the gear I need for trolling Erie and Saginaw. Biggest purchase was the boat lol. Looks like our boats are similar, I am curious how are you trolling with your main motor? I need to slow mine down I just haven't decided how I am going to do it. Did you have to do something to slow yours down?

    • @TheOutdoorConquest
      @TheOutdoorConquest  2 роки тому

      I will either troll with the electric over the bow motor or drag 2 drift socks (1 off each side) if I’m using the big motor to troll. But anymore I usually just use the electric Minn Kota

    Funny you should talk smack about other hooks as that’s the first thing I replace on the wicked awesome reef runner 800s. Hooks are bent straight and you have losses after 1 or 2 15+ pound fish

    • @TheOutdoorConquest
      @TheOutdoorConquest  2 роки тому

      That’s a one off or rare event obviously. It’s no secret the flicker hooks are trash.

    • @andrewschoenfeldt5620
      @andrewschoenfeldt5620 2 роки тому +1

      @@TheOutdoorConquest never tried the flickers. But the reef runners I was stealing hooks off of other lures that had 1x or 2x as they went straight. Lost 8 that day to this one off event on multiple 800s. Nice very sharp hooks but not strong at all if going for bigger fish. So the hooks are the first thing I change. Split rings secondly (one off event)
