Saw them live recently when they opened for Cory Wong's band during their winter tour. I was amazed by their style and playing especially as a young latino who grew up with some of the cumbia songs they were covering and into 50's style of rock music. After the show they were humbly selling their merch at their merch stand and I got to strike up a conversation with the 3 of them! Of course I had to talk to the guitar player about his tone and he said it's all in the amp haha. Forever will be a fan of their music.
What amp is he using?
@@murphyshsu don’t know to be honest, usually that’s something I look out for as a guitarist but I was more focused on their playing throughout their set and didn’t want to nerd out too much about gear 😂
I saw them in Davis - with much respect to Wong but I literally just went for them. Don’t care if technically Cory is better - bought 4 7” because although many consider them a “cover” band - they’re not. We’re in the beginning of a trajectory.
Cody was holding down merch and Zac Dom helped in with sales after their set.
Definitely wanted to nerd out more!
@@murphyshsuidk about him personally but lot of chichas amazonian cumbias it's just a fender amp like a twin or deluxe reverb distorting just by going to 11
That’s exactly what I’ve been wondering since I heard them. How does he get that tone?
They look like they time traveled from 1950's Cuba. Never heard them talk. Always thought they were Spanish speaking; the English surprised me. Would love to see them live some day...
Saw them live this past weekend and it was fantastic! they're touring right now so they might be coming near you soon!
The algorithm Gods have blessed me today ❤
That's how I found them too 🎉
@@mitchs2148 as well, very cool.
I can clearly hear the influences of Piola Vago, Pibes Chorros, Supermerka2 and Damas Gratis. Phenomenal work
I am not kidding. I just literally saw/ heard them on a short video that I randomly came across about 30 mins ago❤❤❤❤ and was stunned by their magical sounds! I did research and just bought tickets to see them live !!! Love it!!!!❤
Enjoyed their music live two days ago in Boise Idaho, hopefully they come back soon.
I wanna hear your version of Sleepwalk by Santo & Johnny, period.

Wow yeah
Muy chimbas la cumbias , de no creer que afuera de latino América tenga influencia la cumbia con esos toques de cumbia peruana!
Aaaaah perrros, arriba pichataro? Ya me habian ganado con Put your head in my shoulder, y Angels point... Pero con esa ultima canción se ganaron mi total respeto. Bravo!
Saw them in Vegas recently for the first time. These dudes are GOATED
Zac is a marvelous player, what a tone and feeling!
I was very surprised by Arriba Pichataro thats a very traditional Mexican song in reference to Pichataro Michoacan, so unless these guys grew up with a lot of old Mexican music I’m impressed that they know that one.
No words, literally
Thank you LA LOM! Your music makes me happy ♥️
This is awesome. Loved all of them, though, Arriba Pichátaro made me remember my grandparents dancing zapateado.
Really enjoying when La Lom pops up in the tube. Diggin’ the sound and style.
My new favorite band!!!!!
This is SO refreshing to hear from all the trash mainstream Hollywood is producing! Keep it up guys! Love the style and bringing us back to our hispanic chicano roots. Ya’ll got me dancing every time those maracas come out. Making life more bearable and beautiful :)
Now who is this drummer, he is one FINE looking man ❤😂
I was listening to this with my eyes closed and thought I was listening to three different percussionists, a bass, and a guitar.
I open my eyes and BAM, it's one single drummer! What?! Eres un chingón!!
I was not expecting arriba pichataro that’s so sick haha
Amazing music guys, congratulations!!! I was surprised to see a 50's or 60's record of traditional greek music behind the drummer!!! Greetings from Greece!!!!

I absolutely love this band. Apart from the obvious influences some of their sounds definitely remind of the psychedelic African desert sounds of Bombino, Tamikrest and other similar bands. So good.
