A future? I agree in terms of the console side of things.
They claim to be committed to the hardware but their actions always seem to speak otherwise.
Software they "should" be fine. We'll see though.
@@SparkE3 yes😀. What comes to the future of xbox , i see it very uncertain at the moment. Sticks and no need for console is very bad idea. Im a 42 year old man and i have always played with a console. Having a stick feels very cheap.
I also think that why would anybody buy a console from a brand thats future is a big question mark. Saying this doing that and ditching plans. Seems that they dont even know what they are doing.
For the stick thing, I think that's just really to get Game Pass to even more people. They've kinda hit a ceiling at the moment on subscriber growth. Since their business model has been around Game Pass & play anywhere, I can get the idea of an app with smart tvs. Its one of those things of it's not the ideal way to play but it's an option, ya know?
There's also that keystone device coming soon. Which is just a straight streaming/cloud device. I see that coming in retail like $150 or some shit. Just more options to play is their agenda.
I'm with you on a console. It's my preference, physical games will always be my preference.
PERSONALLY, MY OPINION HERE... As long as this slate of games that are coming from the Showcase & others we know about come out & slap... I think that alone will help move consoles. To at least push to have another console after the Series. Which I think the next console will indeed also feature a native handheld verison of the console which will help the brand.
Everything is riding on this slate of games coming in my mind. Games that are supposed to launch & be your console staples, underperformed with the likes of Halo Infinite & Starfield just to name 2 examples.
Fingers crossed for the future. I'm not an Xbox guy first. But I want so desperately for Xbox to thrive. Competition brings out the best in everyone.
