Dave when your boat gets full of water all you have to do is crank the motor and go down the lake. It will suck the water out, then put your plug in and you are ready to fish. I really like your vids, take care.
I’ve used owner hooks for the last few years. From number 4 circle hooks for perch and sunfish to number 7 circle hooks for catfish and stripers. I really like them
Dave, you can understand this story. A friend of mine in Knoxville forgot to put his boat plug in once and got a lot of water in his boat. So he wouldn't forget again he put the plug with the boat key. He was going fishing up Dale Hollow and got all his stuff together and off they went. Dale Hollow Reservoir is about 100 miles from Knoxville in a straight line and lot farther on the road and of course he ran off and left the plug and the key both at home. Sometimes it pays to stay home, I guess. You had a good day on Watts Bar. Decent weather, too. Thanks, Dave. We'll see you next time.
Today and yesterday I did very well on yellow bass. I have a spot on loudon that never fails for yellow bass, I go and catch about 6 or 7 in 5 to 10min then head to the channel.
Up here in manitoba we have to take our plugs out and drain all wells due to zebra muscles. What kind of rods are you currently running or do you recommend. I had a fenwick flip n stick that caught tons but it finally gave up on me😢
Got a question for local Knoxville peeps. Thought about heading down there to catfish this weekend. Have to bank fish and was told to go to Louisville landing. Is this a good spot? Not from the area and need some easy access areas due to disability. Any advice would be appreciated! As always Catfish Dave you rock!
Lots of boats get water in the bilge or splash well or simply leak through rivets, welds, thru hull penetrations, whatever. My boat is 52 years old and I finally put in a semi permanent screw in plug because I never have water drain out, but if you watch at the ramp you will see tons of boats pull the plug and have a ton of water drain out when they pull the boat out.
Maybe one of these days you will get a one hundred pound cat fish from watts bar reservoir like that teenager caught and released back into Watts bar reservoir.
How deep is this place that the fish got bloated so bad? I've seen it offshore & they use an ice pick or needle but I do not believe I ever seen this in catfish. You have but was it deep or does something else cause this bloating in the fish? peace
4wd is the least of the problems wait till u start getting timing codes and the water pump goes out enjoy that 4k dollar repair bill sell that exploder asap
Good afternoon Dave, always looking forward to your videos. Thank you for your time on the water.

One of the best Catfish Dave videos ever. No plug in the boat. Fancy equipment not working... . Will he be able to catch anything? Suspense.

I’ve forgotten my plug before, Just got to excited to get the boat unloaded lol.
I think everybody that has fished for any length of time has forgotten it a time or two

Your releases were pretty good today. Mostly small splashes and good head dives.😂
Kentucky bone in salt ham steak with redeye gravy! You must know of it!
OMG I Lost it😅..."fix or repair daily exploder" I mentioned couple years ago Dave. Get a Tacoma or Tundra and be done with it
I have a 2013 tundra!, awesome truck

Your friend had some crappy luck. Sheesh…. I would have been livid if I left my boat key at home after traveling a long distance.
Enjoyed your fishing video thanks for sharing.👍💪
Dave, to find out if there are fish everywhere, you've got to fish everywhere. 😂
Great video Dave thanks and I'll be drinking more juice from now on
Good video and thank you much 😊
Newsflash !!! Cat fisherman fails due to no electronics in boat. May have to resort to bank fishing. lol Good video.

I was just going to say a good pair of needle-nose pliers works fine
Dave, Dagblasted Plug ruining another trip. God Bless

First time I suspended a bluegill , I caught a 53 lb. Blue. The bluegill was bright orange in color and only about 4 inches long.

3 min in, don't care if all the equipment does not work. Let's go fishing.
🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣👍👍👍👍👍
Good vid sir
Why do you take your plug out
Why even have a hole for a plug is what I wanna know
Dave get rid of that ford explorer and get a jeep grand Cherokee Laredo .I have the 6 cylinder one and I haven’t had any issues at all for 5 years

Because water gets in boat and it drains it out. Rain water splashes in small leaks lots of reason to pull a plug.
Ahoy Skipper
Cant wait to see you catch another hog
Ok Dave, live Bluegills are better than cut bait, idk why? But just my 35 years of testing and analyzing.
Thanks professor houseman for the lesson lol
I'd say that's fair. That fish swallowed it after giving us some entertainment.
I like smoking my ham. I usually use a pipe because rolling ham into those little cigarette papers is difficult.
Bone in ham. I miss it.
Dave, Dave,Dave instead of eating, read up on what uncured ham really is.😂 Fish on.
In other words the pig hasn’t been cured from whatever caused it’s s demise.
All let the fish have the bluegill
I agree. Let em have it 😅
Looks like cherokee lake
Catch and release into the grease

Two words Po Boy
Nah. Don’t want any of that sick pork. 😁

Planer boards…ugh😖
I have had alot better luck using cut channel cat as bait over bluegill
Anyine else notice that Dave talks more than a woman, since he bought that damn microphone 😂😂
