I still have not replaced my spring as bending the metal is still holding the catcher in place..... There are some good videos about the springs, and taking out the retaining clip seems to be the most difficult part.
@@paulcullen7361 , probably easier to tell you the name of the video.... PushMowerRepair.com - Victa catcher Spring installation. You should at least get some tips from his video if your catcher flap is the same.

I've been bending it back every so often, but Im thinking of welding some thicker metal to reinforce as its not a long term solution for me.
Good idea as there seems to be a big difference in the quality of the metal used for the flaps on different brands.
I purchased a new flap and spring and mine is still falling off. Any ideas?
Sorry, I am at a bit of a loss to suggest anything.... Is the catcher itself hitting the ground as you mow.
