I'm watching this in 2020, working from home is starting to become a pain in the neck. This video was fab and hilarious. Feeling empowered to improve my workstation - rather than procrastinating! yay!
When I travel I bring my "Adjustable Vented Laptop Table" (amazon) with me, it fits in the bottom of a large duffle or mid sized suit case. Really helps get the monitor to the perfect level. Must be used with a mouse/keyboard though.
Matt what do you think about using awareness to correct and maintain balance? It's pretty much trying to feel gravity and bring heightened awareness of the entire body and get a deep sense feeling of body parts interaction. Mentally trying to relax and move from your ground (center of the body) I find as a person who's just 21 it's quite important to be clear on these principles and use them for more graceful movements. I am referring mostly to the works of Peter Raslston, a founder of a whole different 'martial arts school'. I don't know what physicians think about him or martial arts awareness in general.
Awareness exercises are definitely helpful to learn how to achieve good positions. I've personally never had much look using them to create and maintain good posture on a longer term basis - especially while working at a computer when your awareness gets REALLY pulled into the screen.
Great post and suggestions for a keyboard and mouse, Matt! I recently purchased this "upright station" for my computer just a few days ago and it's awesome. A bit cumbersome to setup initially, but once you figure it out -- it's magical. Hope this helps the community: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01C7ZOO2A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1.

Matt, what are your thoughts on using a "standing desk" for the average 8-5 middle aged manager?
