- My husband and I relocated from San Antonio, Texas to Atlanta, Georgia, and found a giant 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment in Midtown. It was built in the 30s so a few things are missing from this apartment that we’ve learned to work through. Since we’re in the darker side of the building we’ve incorporated a lot of Amazon finds to make the space work for us.

Fun fact: estate agents have started calling it the "owner's suite" or "primary bedroom" so as to avoid the connotation with massa.
I still say master, lol, I Googled it and found that it has no ties to slavery 🤷🏿♀️

I’ve been calling it the main for years now. Masters didn’t sit right. Sometimes I switch it up calling it the focal or dominant but I really like primary. I noticed primary in a couple tours.

2600 for a 2 BR in ATL is freaking ridiculous. People from NY and CA coming down here to pay that much for an apartment is ruining the cost of housing for everyone from here.
My mother lived in Twelve Atlantic Station in 2007, and she was paying $2500 then. $2600 for midtown now is actually not that bad.

A sofa and a coffee table, some meaningful art, a few BIG plants (because the room is massive) and a record player would turn that guest room into a fabulous suite! Sis, I live in the ATL too, just got here 3 months ago, I’m liking it. 🙂

I am a real estate agent. I still call it master bedroom at home but when I am advertising a property for sale I'll refer to it as the owner's suite or primary bedroom.
I've heard Main bedroom used too.
They call it "Primary" bedroom now...been a few years...Large place!! in NYC that would go for about $8K+ a month
The dry bar is perfect for a coffee./tea station. Put the 'trundle bed' on the window wall opposite the TV with the "end tables"..that way you can put in a comfy chair for guest for reading. Dining space works great for office area! 'Prince Purse' works as a file folder storage

*I still call my bedroom the master bedroom. But if I were in real estate, I'd use the more updated terms. So call your room what you wish in your home. Heck, if you called your bedroom Beyonce, I'd come over and be like, "giiiiiiiirl, I love how you decorated your Beyonce." It's yours.
*I love your guest room especially that rug and those lamps. However, there seemed to be a disconnect. We didn't see the entire room but is there space to move the bed to the center of the wall on the right (window wall)? Or maybe leaving the bed where it was, rotating the rug and putting it halfway under the bed. Then you could have a sitting area for your guests on the window wall.
*In your office, you could display your cameras and/or your purses on open shelving.
I'm in Atlanta. How would I make enough to actually pay that rent? I have 20 years of experience and an MBA. I am just giving it a little side eye.

Just yesterday I was thinking how wrong it feels to say master bedroom. To me it meant the "master's" bedroom. The largest room, usually with a window view where you can overlook the property

Every little thing shouldn't matter that much to us. To go back and dig up the meaning of minute things like 'why a master bedroom is called a master bedroom' and trying to rename things constantly is mental. Oh, and not calling you that-- just talking in general.

😂 I think this is still the same couch from the first apartment tour. At this point the tour is more like “here’s my stuff (again) in a new city and a different layout - enjoy!”
I might be missing something? If someone takes the same furniture to 3 or 4 places it’s there’s and they can move it to place to place… It’s expensive in ATL and when I leave here I’m taking my Stuff to the next state PERIOD my choice 🎤 cuz that’s my business 😂
