- How to Sync Circuit Tracks and Pocket Operators!
Today I'm showing how to sync the Novation Circuit Tracks with the Teenage Engineering Pocket Operators! This is an awesome feature of the Tracks, because it allows us to control the PO sequencer from the Tracks, all while routing the PO audio through the Tracks as well! This means we can apply the Circuit's reverbs, delays, and master filter to the PO! Let me know if you have any questions, and enjoy the video :)

All links in this description are Amazon affiliate links, the gear is the same price to you, but I get a small kickback when you use these links! It's an easy way to support the channel at no extra cost!
If you're having trouble syncing the two, check not only the sync mode on the PO (should be SY2 for a single PO), but also check the sync clock output in the Circuit Tracks settings (pads 17-21) on the setup page, as this controls the pulses per quarter note. Refer to page 106 of the CT manual for details. For me it was playing at double speed by default, your settings may be different or you may have changed them by accident. Hope this helps someone!
And you can chain multiple po-s together. I think the arcade +robot + the circuit tracks is a killer combo! I will try it soon.
I don’t own the Circuit but I have a few operators including the Tonic. Having listened to Circuit on UA-cam videos I like the circuit’s drums a lot more than the Tonic and they’re already at your fingertips without any syncing and extra cords.
Thanks for this video! Never thought about this, but Im waiting for my CT to arrive, and im already thinking about ways to use the PO33 as the sampler of the unit :D
Neato! 🌈
nice!
Great videos Man! Quick question here! I just got the PO-20 and i want to know if it is possible to sync garage band to it? Greetings from El Salvador 🇸🇻
How can I just use a sample on a MIDI track of the Circuit Tracks instead of syncing a whole pattern?
Great vid! I have the Arcade and I've been eyeing up the Circuit Tracks. Shame you can't mute the PO, but can you turn the channel all the way down to get around that?
So... you are using the analogue (pulse) sync out to trigger the pocket operator. But you are talking about not being able to mute the audio of the pocket operator because of the "Midi" mute. But sync-out is not midi. There's no midi going to the PO here that I see. Just a pulse. Right? Or am i misunderstanding? The behavior makes sense. I'm not sure what the result would be if it was a midi device, with midi cable coming to it, and you muted the track. Have you tried with a volca or something?
Can I do this with Uno drum?
Yo, anyone else getting some unpleasant background noise? It's only when the tracks play button is on for some reason. If I turn sync off the P.O. sounds fine. This is weird, at first I thought it was just one of my cables. But, I guess its the circuit tracks
So you can sidechian the inputs but not mute ?! That's dissapointing... guess you can with volume knobs but mute is kinda important.
Is there away to sync po operator to the model cycles??
Hi, I have an OG circuit ,can u still sync a Po ?
I did not know that the Circuit Tracks's "mixer" only "mutes" MIDI signals going out rather than sound coming into the unit. Not sure whether that's a good or bad thing yet.
This video should be 30 seconds.
