Longhope and Blaisdon look to be lovely quaint villages, Patrick. Flaxley Abbey is a lovely building set amongst the woodlands, and St. Mary's church is of grand architecture with it's lovely spire. Blaisdon Hall and it's associated lodge are grand buildings too. At the top of the hill that view was remarkable, seeing the River Severn in the distance. A most enjoyable and peaceful film Patrick. Many thanks for the showing.
Thanks for watching and commenting Ffranc. Flaxley Abbey is a great building, although I don't think it's ever been open to the public. This was my first time if I recall going to Blaisdon, but the walk was certainly great for that view over the Severn you mention. All the best 👍
Longhope is also the home to The Forest Bakehouse, a bakery and at the time cafe specializing in sourdough breads, and amazing pastries both sweet and savoury baked from locally grown and milled flours and produce.
Longhope and Forest of Dean walk that I have not been on was of interest.Flaxley Abbey and Church looks in keeping.with the locality.A great trip to an area that’s new for me.Thanks for the trips this seasons greetings from Ann DeakinX
Fabulous video as always and the music was spot on too. Always nice to visit a new place and Blaisdon looked really nice. The forest of Dean really is a gift that just keeps giving!
Wonderful video again. We will try and get in one more trip to Ol'blighty and Wales before the Brexit hammer comes down on all. The house is in Monmouth. right close to the forest of Dean!

Thanks Glenn, a not-so-familiar part of the Forest for me, so this was nice to film. Know Symonds Yat of course, lovely spot. Thanks for watching. Cheers, Patrick :)
You are spoiling me with such wonderful Village Churchs Patrick ......and stunning views to boot .......The Forest of dean really is the gift that keeps giving ...Thank You so very much for once again sharing these wonderful walks with us all.......Regards as always ....Frank and Lee....

Thanks for an informative walk. I will be staying at Western-under-Penyard for 2 weeks in May so might check out the area. Also thank you for your clear speaking voice and relaxing music.
Thanks for all your kind words Del, much appreciated. You'll be close to Ross-on-Wye in May then if you're staying in Weston-under-Penyard, a lovely town to visit, hope you have a wonderful time. Cheers, Patrick :)
Thank you Patrick for showing the beautiful countryside that surrounds us. I love my England! On average, how many miles do you cover on each of your walks? All the best.
Thank you Debbie. On average I cover about 5 miles per walk as it takes me a good six hours in a day to film a walk, so I try to do ones that are not too long! :)
When I watch your videos, it's like I'm actually there doing the walking. That's what sets your videos apart from others. You're not showing me your walk but bringing me along. Thank you again Patrick!
Congrats on over one thousand subscriber's, i hope many more find your wonderful channel. As always it was lovely to watch, what scenery and views but boy did you do some walking that day, you must have been tired out. Thanks for the work and tireless effort as always.
This was about 5 or 6 miles and took around six hours on the day to film, so the combination of all the filming with the walking is indeed tiring, but worth it if I can get a good film out of it at the end. Many thanks Kelly :)
Many thanks Peter. I've thought about Stoodley Pike, but we'll see as I'd like a break from all this once I've edited everything from last year. My Hebden Bridge film features a distant shot of the pike :)
Longhope... My home village!! 😁😁

I live in Flaxley so throughout this video I’ve just been saying:
I’ve been down those paths and that’s near me.
I must have passed your home when I was filming this last year :)
Great video 👍👍👍
Thank you :)
