Ridiculous upgrade pricing policies! - I have the Everything bundle incl RX 10 Advanced. And now I shall pay Eur 329.25 just to get the upgrade to RX 11 Adv? Or I could also pay Eur 538.30 to upgrade my Everything bundle to the new version, which basically only adds RX 11 Advanced to my collection. Really, iZotope? More than 500 bucks for a loyal client just to move from RX 10 Adv to RX 11 Adv?
I've seen some reviewers saying that unless there is a specific feature you *really* need, then skip two or three versions before you upgrade, just like with NI Komplete. And wait for Black Friday or other sales.
I'm an expert user of RX10. The only difference between the two releases is artificial intelligence integration. Do you need better AI? But still not perfect AI? That's what this whole update is about. Every other feature is basically the same. I spent 10 days demoing it. I will not be upgrading.
@@randyrykse2346 Thanks Randy! I've just noticed that my license for Music Production Suite 6 now includes RX 11 Standard, so I think I'll stick with that until either 12 comes out with some killer feature, or I really *need* something in the Advanced version.
Which gate are you referencing for the Loudness optimization?
There’s two in the LUFS’s algorithm.
1) Absolute gate set at -70 LUFS’s
2) Relative gate Is Value Less than
10 LU's of the Average 400ms
75% Sliding Window
He’s referencing #2. The relative gate
I was here for RX, then I stayed for Aviations
A bit questionable use, if you ask me. Considering the price they ask for upgrade, you can do same lufs management if you have a Wavelab, for example
This LUFS standard is kinda useless when you have such tricky modules to be honest as I still found out tracks on Deezer that are extremely loud in their lossy meant streaming format yet loud even though they are not clipped that I had to fix their loudness manually with Ozone11 like: Ketchup ｍａｎｉａ - Your World (Warning High Ear Destructive Loudness)
Also on iTunes, compact discs and vinyls new songs have so much loudness and flat waveform. Also I think many songs from artists like Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish have cut many high frequencies, they are lofi type and drums hit so hard that distorts.
Don’t really understand why this is in RX and not Ozone? These all seem like mastering tools to me really.
