- Growing up in a religious environment in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Dario grappled with the pressure to conform to masculine ideals while discovering his queer identity. From purging his lunch in the interest of sports to having sex with women, Dario found himself again and again making choices that weren’t in his best interests. After moving to Las Vegas for college and seeing healthy and happy portrayals of queerness, however, he quickly realized that he could be himself and that was enough. Now, as an adult, Dario is able to immerse himself in the LGBTQIA+ community, prioritizing his happiness and choosing self-love over living for others.
