Me in AMX-30 (1972) encountering the unstoppable Soviet death machine (at least it's not with an AMX-50 TOA100)
Now imagine that it used to face 7.7. Now it still faces 7.7 as 90% of 7.7 got uptiered to 8.0 :). Object is just a 9.3 tank without apfsds (does not need it) and LRF. Besides that, it's just another T-72 but better.
@@NovakineTheOne also 7.3. my lineup is the leo1 that used to be 7.3 the m48a2c again a 7.3 vehicle that got moved up and the marder A1 none of them can do anything against this thing

A good tip when using the 279 is to only carry 14 rounds(especially in a CQC map). All of them would be your first stage ammo and there will be none anywhere else that would cause an ammo rack. Would really help with survivability when an enemy tank does manage to pen you.
15* technicly as the game counts one in the chamber plus the full load in the ready rack
Whats the point? 24-25 is fine if you can play and you probably will shoot full first stage at least. Hull is anyway not a protection and you will die, espicaly on 10.0. 279s good armor hides at its turret, so it lives until they shoot there
That's a good tip for uptiers. I didn't even thought about that.
But in a downtier, you want to carry more ammo for obvious reasons lol
@@DOLLARplays it's a good tip in general I found, but... When you run out of ammo, you're beggin for teammates to capture the point so you can restock.

I didn't think about it before but the way they adjusted all of the BRs of tanks, now if you are a 9.0-10.0 tank, you will constantly be placed in 10.0 games due to the sheer amount of players who play 10.0 now.
Definitely, I had more uptiers than downtiers in this thing
What tanks are 10.0 though? I looked quickly in and i didn't see any. Heck 9.3-9.7 is almost non existent for main/popular tanks. I see the 10.3 premiums from a lot of nations and that works for the 1 step off from 11.7 black hole, but really not much else. Its weird Id expect 9.0 to be the hole due to the 10.3 premiums.
Doesn't fucking matter. Gaijin fucked the matchmaker so hard for anything that isn't german or russian that 95% of your games will be full uptiers no matter WHAT br you pick. Once you start paying attention to what is uptiers and not, you'll start to notice how fundamentally broken it really is.
@@Woofdeath13 when looking at at the tech trees again, I appears that Germany doesn't have a top teir GE BR 10.0 premium you can buy with GE. However looking through Sweden (the nation i play the most), USA, Russia, China and Britain, They all have their highest top tiers GE premium tanks at 10.0 (assuming you don't include gift tanks or bundles). the other nations all of GE Premium tanks between 9.3-9.7, which can get up tier'd to 10.0 as well.
There are a huge number of players at any given time who have purchased the top BR premium tank for their nation (with many in Russia, USA and Sweden) to grind the nation, and only play those tanks until they max the nation's tech tree. This means queue for games have a large number of 10.0 BR tanks waiting for a games now, with a lot of 9.0-10.0 tanks getting up tired to those 10.0 games.

Also wanted to note with the BR changes as I play a lot of Sweden, they they have always had weird gaps in BR with their tanks. if you look at the tree before they added the tanks from other nations to the lineup, you would see a very strong 5.0 BR lineup. After you can research 1 tank at 5.7BR, then another at 6.7BR, then a 7.3 BR tank (before the IKV-91 was up tier to 7.7), and then start filling out the line up again at 7.7. So when grinding the tree I remember, not seeing every many tanks from 5.3-7.0.
Now with the BR changes, Sweden is in a weird spot with a solid 10.0 line up with the CV-90105 and the CT-CV 105HP (extreamly similar tanks), the Strf 9040C, Strf 9040 BILL, and the LVKV 9040C all at 10.0 BR. So really the decompressed the 6.6 - 8.0 BR rating and compressed all of the tanks to 8.0 and 10.0 with the last round of changes.
So to end on these 2 messages, the OBJ 279 at 8.7 meant it was constantly being down tiered to 8.0 games, and at 9.0 it now is likely to be up-tiered to 10.0 games instead.
Crazy how someone reported you for all of that when you were just using the tank like you're supposed to!
It was probably the guy who kept rushing you but who knows...likely a lot of players upset they had to face this tank 😅
Not crazy at all. He plays a lot, so statistically he met quite a bunch of salty players.
What's crazy is Gaijin simply dumping such claims on a player without even attempt to verify any of them. Seems by their logic "oh if several players said that it should be true". So they take a report for "passive behavior", apply it to player with average activity of 70% and say "yeah, totally legit, I warn you, do not be passive!".
@@deadlymecury Your crazy part is actualy the expected part... the crazy part is gaijin introducing Soviet tanks that are hardly able to move on flat concrete terain in a museum but are super mobile in game(oh, no it is also expected as thisis Russian game and every Soviet tank needs to have as many "bugs" as posible).

It was "funny" that the update they removed the Maus for being "Too hard to balance", they added the Object 279, (The Bully Tank).
The Object can compete at 10.0 not the Maus.
The Maus is too hard to balance because in downtier it's an absolute monster while in uptiers it can't do much.
The Maus have good shell but absolutely no angles, no mobility, massive reload time, is noisy and BIG.
The object is good at his BR and terrifying in downtier, it's not the same situation as the Maus. Even if the Maus (and the Coelian) should have stayed in the tech tree.
I remember the good old days when this and the IS-7 were 8.3, along with the IT-1 and T-62. It was one heck of a lineup

I thinks it's more flavour of the month bias, and Germany and russia get it the most.

IMO the main "problem" with for the 279 at 9.0 is less how it fares relative to enemy opposition, and more the fact that you'll have a lot of matches where a large chunk of your teammates are TURMS and 2S38 players that one death leave and then you're completely outnumbered for the rest of the match.

yeah... fight against that thing (especially if you're not an easy trigger) is so stressful even if you're the top tier, every single angle on that tank looks like a bounce, non pen or just a minor damage. I literally saw a few weeks ago an squad of 2 279 annihilating my team and man... that tank is just too powerful at his current state.

You just add a little spicy apdsf or heat in driver area near hull cheeks and 279 is well done. If its only first stage ammo dude youll probably damage his breech and second shoot will do the deed
