I've really become a big fan of the twin tracked tractors over the last 15 or so years. Still not sure why JD doesn't use cogged/splined tracks like they do with their 4 track machines. Just this year on YT I have seen several guys that run 9RT's complain about the tracks slipping on the drive wheels in the mud this spring.
500 Acres a Day!! Insane! 10mph planting is super fast plus that wide of a planter and those massive saddle tanks! Yeah that's getting er done! The square tanks are new to me tho!
We planted this whole season only having to clean the air filter once. All prep work in mud, and all planting on a crust on top of wet soil. Germination was pretty good but diesel was 2x last year.
Hey Jason I’m sure you’ve told the story 1000 times about how you started your UA-cam video I was hoping you would do another one for the newest listeners I’m sure they’re wondering myself included what do you think would you do another one??
No R is premium. On the tractors from 155 hp and down there are M and E models for mid range and economy. The 6, 5, 4, 2 and 1 series can be R, M and E. All 7, 8 and 9 models are R.
You don’t have to have multiple monitors when you have a JD planter hooked onto a JD tractor. They talk to each other much easier than if it was a Case or a Fendt hooked up to a JD planter, that’s where the wires and more monitors come in. Also, the planter most likely doesn’t have any aftermarket parts like precision planting so that’s also why there isn’t any extra monitors.
Hi there, great video. Just found you on here and watching from Aberdeenshire Scotland UK. Love what I see, so I have liked and subscribed.
Excellent video and interview.

my granpa was lucky to get 10 in a day with his old hand powered 4 row corn planter
Great vídeo Jason.
Oh yeah, with that setup he does cover some serious acres. Really enjoyed the ride along Jason. It adds so much to the footage. Thanks!!
I enjoy getting to do the ride alongs to share direct from the farmer on how the machines help their operation.

Amazing 💪👍
Thank you for watching.
i am his fan and really enjoy his videos .
How many hours of work a day do they put in to get 500 acres planted?
Hello! That's a powerful Green team doing some acres...
Really enjoying this content. Keep it up
Thank you for watching.
Hi Jason! I’ve been wondering what the tanks on the side of the tractor are for. Does the liquid fertilizer go in with the corn seed?
yes it does. It's usually what they call starter fertilizer consisting of nitrogen.
I like to see two track tractors😁👍
Nice video👍😉
The 9RTs are nice tractors.

amazing
from Thailand ❤️
Does the farm plant corn and soybeans with the same planter?
Yes.
I always assumed that the R stood for Row Crop.

Wait a second. I always thought RT stood for row track?!?! Have I had this wrong all alone?
So amazing ❤❤❤❤
Thank you for watching.
How does he only have one monitor? I thought all tractors had like 3 minimum??
R stands for premium model (afaik the 8 and 9 series only have R), T stands for tracks and X stands for 4 tracks.
