It’s amazing how that sketch has stood the test of time. True Muppet fans know that Jim Henson himself started that bit way back during his Sam and Friends days, and it’s been revived thru each stage of his career and the life of the Muppets. From Sesame Street to the Muppet Show to this video, it’s been featured on all of them, and still kills each time it’s performed. The same can be said for “Visual Thinking” and a few other sketches. Sadly I think my favorite is Old Black Magic by default, it’s one of the very few, incredibly rare videos of an actual Sam and Friends sketch. The technology to film the shows back then was so unwieldy, and costly, and even tho Jim was one of the most forward thinking people to ever work in Hollywood, the Sam and Friends shows were almost never saved on any kind of film. Once they went out into the airwaves they were gone forever except in the memories of those lucky few who saw them live.

It's good this time it isn't Kermit. I think people today wouldn't like this happening to him and would want Miss Piggy to save him.

Like they brought Yorick out of retirement after Sam & Friends was canceled, even though it's not the same "Yorick" puppet that was used in Sam & Friend and such in the 50's and 60's. Imagine if they "brought" about every characters from Sam & Friends out of retirement.

An old Sam and Friends sketch! Never thought they'd bring that back. This one is kind of similar to the one with Kermit eating the worms. And Yorick is back!!!! The puppet is even better by modern standards.

As much as I'd like to see the performance without the puppeteers in the shot, it does provide an educational view on how to operate Muppets. With this information, I'll have a better idea on how to control a Muppet if I ever get around to it.

@TheMagic0214 From what I can find on Wikipedia and Muppet Wiki, the song is sung by American singer Rosemary Clooney, in a recording from 1956, and is one of many who have covered this song originally from the musical My Fair Lady.
My search reveals that it's at the very least included on a compilation album called "Rosemary Clooney: Love Songs" from 2004 (released two years after her death), and it should be up on both iTunes and Amazon.

If you see 'Stuffed and Unstrung,' this is one of two classic Henson pieces that they perform between their sets. The other they perform is known as 'Java.'
Btw, watch Brian's mouth. When Yorrick makes the 'munching' motion, Brian is also making it with his mouth as well.

On this day in 1968 {April 21st} the Muppets, with Kermit the Frog wearing a blonde wig and crooning to Mr. Sullivan, performed "I've Grown Accustomed To Your Face" on the CBS-TV variety program 'The Ed Sullivan Show'...
"I've Grown Accustomed To Your Face" was featured in the 1956 Broadway musical 'My Fair Lady', was originally performed by Rex Harrison as Professor Henry Higgins...
The Broadway play premiered on March 15th, 1956. later in 1956 two covered versions of the song made Billboard's Top 100 Sides chart; Rosemary Clooney's version peaked at #70, while Gordon MacRae reached #96 with his version...

@BroadwayKait I'm thinking the same thing...i looked it up and Wikipedia said: "Kermit the Frog performed this song several times during the 1950s and '60s. In this case, the character wore a wig while lipsyncing to Rosemary Clooney's recording of the song, singing to a small creature that is covered entirely by a piece of cloth with a face drawn on it." But it seems like that lady's singing, maybe she's lip syncing with him?

@@tyleriguana yeah but I do have a suspicion that if there is demand for fraggle rock they will just bite the bullet and add it. Sam and friends though is a totally different story it played a lot of music from that time era so I am pretty sure it would not only be hard to find and upscale the quality to fit with today’s standards but getting every single license to each song used in sam and friends would be just as hard but I think they can do it also they let you download episodes of stuff on Disney + so this lost media could be archived forever if they do add it.
