- Exploring Berlin Art Exhibits: 2022 Gallery Weekend, Part I
I'm in Berlin! Come along with me on my very first trip to Berlin, during gallery weekend none the less. I've formed relationships with these galleries at art fairs, etc. throughout the years, so it's really exciting to finally be able to see their spaces in person.
Also there will be a part II of this video so stay tuned for that and be sure to subscribe and turn on notifications so you don't miss it.
Details about each artist and exhibition space mentioned can be found below.

What is truly “ amazing” is the commentators breathless, adulatory tone when describing a vast exhibition space obviously filled with garbage.
Congratulations on this excellent overview your Part I and Part II! As a Berlin Citizen, I'm really impressed how nicely relaxed yet very professionally informed this is. Vielen Dank! Richtig klasse gemacht:-)
Throwing some buckets of paint onto a canvas takes 2 years? Just amazing.
I can´t say any of this stuff moved me. It all looks so trivial. Some of the works are monumental in size, but empty. More interesting, to me at least are the buildings, beautiful inside and out. Thanks for a carefully thought out, well made video.
Completely agree.
@@lluhu bigger is not better or soulful as I would expect from art! I dare artists to go beyond ego and be heard by humanity, not some cult/followers😌
Purtroppo nell'esasperazione della ricerca del nuovo, del concettuale come arte, siamo addivenuti a queste brutture che di arte non hanno nulla. Quest'arte e' paragonabile ad una bolla finanziaria.
Yeh, dull as fuck!
nowadays people just see too much and is harder to feel inspired or moved. it's not fair nor possible to ask every artist to innovate every day. glad Picasso is dead 50 years ago or he would be blamed being repeating what he did last year.
Beautiful thx for sharing ❤
Great, incredible adventure, thanks so much for sharing..
Thank you for taking us to Berlin. I have never been. Fantastic video as always 🤩
Hi Nathniel 👋
Here same with you 👍👋
Thanks for showing. AWESOME!
Beautiful video, and your narration is such a treat to listen to. Thank you!
I do not see anything thats tells my brain: this is buitifull, moving, amazing. Thanks for showing me new world art. Peace
LOVED this! Beautiful art... And your voice is very ASMR.
We enjoyed our place, thank you for sharing. How nice to have this passion
I've been to Berlin. I lived in Wuerzberg during the War in Kosovo in the late 90s. Berlin was a huge complex cold city all about ego and money. Surprisingly, my weeks stay was in the Ritz Hotel just adjacent to the Brandenburg Gate, which was very plush and the food was delicious. The not far away WWII historic sites were well worth seeing. There is much worthwhile things on exhibit but I have no desire to go back. Sitting here in my Texas home watching the video is enough, and I appreciate your efforts and time.
Thanks
I really liked it... Thank you very much for this visual therapy!
The museum itself is really nice. The art looks like a day care class ngl...
What Gorgeous galleries. Thanks for sharing
Galleries full of the concept of art 🤪
Beautiful video and art
Thank you for sharing 👋💕
Thank you. Inspirational. Very soothing voice and background music at a lovely level. Thoughtful considerations for the viewer.
Thank you to make such a cool VDO for us to see more art in the world.
I envy your having the experience of Monique van Genderen's two versions of After Images. I wonder what it felt like to compare them. Thank you so much for bringing us along!
Nice job Mary. Thanks for doing these vids.
Same here too Craig 😊👍👋
Hi Mary, what a wonderful art and cultural tour. Hope soon I will be there. Thanks for sharing that great places.
you are the best!!! thank you for this videosss!
I don't know why human beings leaved beautifulness in art and got the ruff and beastness in art☺️
Its just beautiful in a different way, sign of the times
@@andrewbellavie795 Wonder about the longevity of this type of art. Sure it is artsy but is it authentic. It seems over thought and lacking in some way.
@@cumbaja3456 thats a great point. I believe that there is longevity in raw work but the goalposts move generationally. Additionally, in contemporary art, there is a wider range of intelligence participating in creative endeavors, as compared to classical art where the artists we revere were intellectuals. There are some exceptions of course. It begs the question, is it the human condition to strive for perfection? Or are we just a bunch of evolved apes splattering pigment in caves?
@@andrewbellavie795 There is often a reaction when people get bored of seeing the same thing. Art evolves. In the end it should fit in your home somehow on your wall.
It is not only for the artist to create and hope for the best.
@@andrewbellavie795 it’s not beautiful, denying that is being brain dead
Love it. I love Berlin.
Lovely!❤
Beautiful Works. Thank you
The last time I was in Berlin, Chuck Close rolled his chair over my foot ..but the art was great , especially at Eigen&Art
That was lovely. I've never been to Berlin, so that was a wonderful treat. Every artist was so inspiring!
جميل ورائع
Cool and amazing
Thank you as always x
Brilliant pieces and thanks for sharing this to the world, I hope my works will be shown here someday.
why not. I think just email the gallery. show them your work. just stay calm and ask them gently. I have a strong feeling somehow that your work is going to be shown at best galleries. just a vibe.
@@danrazART thanks so much for the advice much appreciated.
On more thing do you have the gallery email address? Thanks
εισαι η καλυτερη.......και το καναλι σου απλα τελειο!!!!!!
A friend of mine used to joke:
"Minimalism is okay, but it always feels like there's something missing"
Katarínka, pekné video. Viac takýchto videí prosím. Dezider mal pravdu. Dobrý nápad.
brought back memories of berlin!
Best thing I seen all year
А какие- нибудь добрые мысли возникают у художников....

Attracted by a voice? You have the same voice like Dr Ponesse from ‘The Democracy Fund’ Canada. The body of the sound is identical. You’re vocal twins. Very pleasing! Thanks for the beautiful tour. I’ll go to part II now;)
Kia ora from Aotearoa - New Zealand. I love your videos. Thank you

@@minismith7329 Or push my addiction for art supplies further 😂
Inspiration
love love love !
It seems that some of the works early in the video are sophisticated, top notch, late Zombie Formalism.
MLB...Havent been to Berlin, really enjoy this series! CCC Austin, TX....
I love art, and I love your channel
Thank you 🙏🏼
good to see the buildings. about the work:"you had to be there".
Fantastic !!!
Thank you ❤
Thank you once again for your excellent gallery tours. In the short time that I have been subscribed, I must say that the gallery spaces in Mexico City have been the most impressive, really blew me away. You sure do get around!!
I couldn’t agree more. I love Mexico City so much, it’s such a special place
Agreed with Mexico , humbled world of art/soul dimension 😌Western colonization of art is over rated😁
Beautiful
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤LOVE love love the way you film these exhibitions. And I ❤❤❤ how you appreciate each artist. I hope next year to invite you to mine in NYC❤ ❤❤❤
Enjoyed it thanx. Loved traveling Berlin too - had the Terracotta Soldiers there last I was there. What qualifies as "art" has always been a bit of a debate for me though. Me being old-school Monet/Degas guy. I was at the Smithsonian Contemporary Art section (The Hirshhorn) in DC last year and there was a blank, white room with simply a string running through it perpendicularly. Art? Worthy of the Smithsonian? Anyhoo.. Love your voice BTW - consider radio ;) (PS: I very highly recommend the little-known art museums of Recoleta in Buenos Aires)
Demester!!!!! 💚
Inspirierend.

Such an amazing overview. I wish I had partied😅🤣 less that weekend and got to see more galleries instead
Thank you
amazing !
My whole life's nightmares together 🎉
you are an angel...this is a top Chanel...the best ! Karlos Barreiro
Are these tomorrow’s masterpieces that will be auctioned off for millions? Unlikely, but the exhibition, taken in its entirety, is really very immersive and entertaining. The large canvases and color riot are great eye candy. Excellent job!
Fine, very interesting
Thanks
После просмотра многих выставок, сложилось стойкое убеждение, что все картины написаны одним маляром.
BEAUTIFUL !! Calm, safe, warm and sunny! Thank you.
ಆನಂದಭಾಶ್ಪಗಳು🙏
Monique van Genderen!!! Sublime !!!!
great stuff! come to Amsterdam / Rotterdam / The Hague :)
Amazing 👌👍
