I can´t say any of this stuff moved me. It all looks so trivial. Some of the works are monumental in size, but empty. More interesting, to me at least are the buildings, beautiful inside and out. Thanks for a carefully thought out, well made video.
Purtroppo nell'esasperazione della ricerca del nuovo, del concettuale come arte, siamo addivenuti a queste brutture che di arte non hanno nulla. Quest'arte e' paragonabile ad una bolla finanziaria.
nowadays people just see too much and is harder to feel inspired or moved. it's not fair nor possible to ask every artist to innovate every day. glad Picasso is dead 50 years ago or he would be blamed being repeating what he did last year.
Congratulations on this excellent overview your Part I and Part II! As a Berlin Citizen, I'm really impressed how nicely relaxed yet very professionally informed this is. Vielen Dank! Richtig klasse gemacht:-)

why not. I think just email the gallery. show them your work. just stay calm and ask them gently. I have a strong feeling somehow that your work is going to be shown at best galleries. just a vibe.
I envy your having the experience of Monique van Genderen's two versions of After Images. I wonder what it felt like to compare them. Thank you so much for bringing us along!
Attracted by a voice? You have the same voice like Dr Ponesse from ‘The Democracy Fund’ Canada. The body of the sound is identical. You’re vocal twins. Very pleasing! Thanks for the beautiful tour. I’ll go to part II now;)
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤LOVE love love the way you film these exhibitions. And I ❤❤❤ how you appreciate each artist. I hope next year to invite you to mine in NYC❤ ❤❤❤
I've been to Berlin. I lived in Wuerzberg during the War in Kosovo in the late 90s. Berlin was a huge complex cold city all about ego and money. Surprisingly, my weeks stay was in the Ritz Hotel just adjacent to the Brandenburg Gate, which was very plush and the food was delicious. The not far away WWII historic sites were well worth seeing. There is much worthwhile things on exhibit but I have no desire to go back. Sitting here in my Texas home watching the video is enough, and I appreciate your efforts and time. Thanks
@@andrewbellavie795 Wonder about the longevity of this type of art. Sure it is artsy but is it authentic. It seems over thought and lacking in some way.
@@cumbaja3456 thats a great point. I believe that there is longevity in raw work but the goalposts move generationally. Additionally, in contemporary art, there is a wider range of intelligence participating in creative endeavors, as compared to classical art where the artists we revere were intellectuals. There are some exceptions of course. It begs the question, is it the human condition to strive for perfection? Or are we just a bunch of evolved apes splattering pigment in caves?
@@andrewbellavie795 There is often a reaction when people get bored of seeing the same thing. Art evolves. In the end it should fit in your home somehow on your wall. It is not only for the artist to create and hope for the best.
When I was younger I visited galleries just to see beautiful art, the techniques but today art is so dark. Voodoo and sad looking cartoon characters on Hugh canvases, lazy minimalist art work maybe the right word is talentless. The last one with palony heads in boxes, my Lord what if God made us look like these artworks the earth would be such a dark and confused place. They say artist paint and create what's within their hearts and minds, their must be much darkness and confusion inside them. A famous person said the eye is the light of the body, if the eye is good your whole being is full of light but if your eye is bad you full of darkness, if the light in you is darkness how deep is your darkness.
What's sad is that people still equate art with technical ability only, otherwise an artist is "talentless". Art is about communication & expressing feelings & there are limitless ways to do this. Sorry, but the world is not all light & flowers & art expresses this!
I love the heads in boxes - they are fantastic! And the voodoo art is also fabulous! They are so powerful and striking and joyfully - of themselves! Bright strong colours. They seem like the opposite of sad to me. Why should art that explores people’s diverse cultures be celebrated?
I would say it is a reflection of the darkness and confusion in the world. It’s not wholly the artist but a reaction to the environment the artists inhabits. It’s not talentless, it’s the artist looking for freedom in a world in which the walls are closing in around us all.
Are these tomorrow’s masterpieces that will be auctioned off for millions? Unlikely, but the exhibition, taken in its entirety, is really very immersive and entertaining. The large canvases and color riot are great eye candy. Excellent job!
Enjoyed it thanx. Loved traveling Berlin too - had the Terracotta Soldiers there last I was there. What qualifies as "art" has always been a bit of a debate for me though. Me being old-school Monet/Degas guy. I was at the Smithsonian Contemporary Art section (The Hirshhorn) in DC last year and there was a blank, white room with simply a string running through it perpendicularly. Art? Worthy of the Smithsonian? Anyhoo.. Love your voice BTW - consider radio ;) (PS: I very highly recommend the little-known art museums of Recoleta in Buenos Aires)
Thanks for showing the Monument for the camps, you missed the Pergamon Museum one of the best for early greek art...then there was the old Banhoff now a gallery ...what ever happened to German art Kiefer, Baslitz, Immandorf Penne, The expressionists. Many Thanks
Thank you for showing us the exhibits..but i do wonder when we are going to stop being polite and start being honest about work done flippantly and us appreciating every brush-stroke
Agreed! The times in areas of politics / art are not honest! I am looking for artists that respond to what’s happening around their very community/world and transfer and represent them 🤨not some version of your ego🤔

I’ve been an artist, all my life……refining my technical skills and choosing different subject matter that will move people for our generation. What is truly “ amazing” is the commentators breathless, adulatory tone when describing a vast exhibition space obviously filled with garbage.
Why "garbage"?
Where are you showing?

Great stuff . How about calming down the camera action and allowing for my own eyes to do the ' walking ' ...
