Damn, I thought my grandma invented this dish. She does exactly this except for the potato, and its seriously amazing. A stupid friend of mine came over and took a big bite out of It, than put it back on the tray saying It had "way too much flavor" to him. Some people Just can't get food this good.
Evth tastes fine with a lot of butter, Mozzarella, Parmesan. But, adding the caramelized onions, ess worth the thumb for me! And of course the performance! Thanx again 😊

Thanks for taking care of our health and good eating in this trouble time. Despite or maybe because the situation is so worrying and dramatic for many, good things emerge, people help each other, think of each other. A younger friend of mine whom I had asked to make a little shopping for me, the old lady, not only brought me the few thing I had asked for but also chocolate and strawberries. So lovely and heartwarming. Take care of yourself, wash your hands and call your friends and family.

Amazzing video wow. I absolutely love gratin. The definition of comfort food ! I have a question though. I dont know how to caramalize onions and in your video i got lost. You said heat butter and olive oil and sautee on low heat with lid cover then stir them and keep uncovered for 5 minutes on low heat? Bit in the video you put the lid back. What should i do . I am a home cook and not to adventurous in the kitchen but I find par-boiled potatoes for many dishes requiring sliced potatoes, keep potatoe flavour in tact. Raw potatoes in any kind of scalloped potatoe dish, even when soaking potatoes in water, I find gives an off taste to the potatoes especially when mixed with other ingredients such as raw onion. I remember the first time I did a scalloped potatoe I found it tasted horible, others did not and I could not figure out why. Then I started par-boiling my potatoes and that was the answer. Your potatoes look parboiled when you were slicing them. Also could you make your website smart phone friendly, would be wonderful, thank you!
