I'm also trying to build a UA-cam channel business and am struggling to write a formal business plan. Did you write a formal business plan and if so, how long did it take you to complete?
I am exactly at this point in my business. I've been trying to document going into business for myself for 2 years but I'm stuck. I have the idea (3 actually) but I don't know how to get it off the ground. I know about making business plans and Market search. And I'm even trying to do some fundraising right now for part of my startup as its first major product. The fundraising campaign is going nowhere. Trying to find a mentor for these past two years has been impossible. Trademarking in itself is an overwhelming expensive task. Honestly I'm starting to be sick of all the videos I'm watching on easy business ideas to start, because they're missing the most important part of the video, the HOW. I mean I don't want anyone to hold my hand step-by-step, but if I can at least get current information on how to go about doing it I can figure out the rest of my own. But I'm wasted so much money and time these last two years. But this point I'm starting to feel like it's not what you know, but who you know. willing mentors, friends in high places, cousins who are lawyeres, uncle's who leave you an inheritance for start-up capital, Etc
Wow, that's been one hell of a 2 years journey. I hope you've been able to get off the ground now. I'm also working on setting up my own companies, and I've decided to use the long road, "raising my own funds". I would recommend reading "The Unfair Advantage", it mentions the things you said in your last sentence, (It's who you know, not just what you know") that will help you out at the end of the day. For me, I've been learning this whole time, whilst both working, and setting up the foundation for those companies bit by bit, as most times, either you hardly get the funds you need to get your business off the ground, or one of the prospective investors steal your idea. Those were some of the reasons why I decided to take the long road. Also, it helps me learn from the small small failures that I keep getting myself into from time to time. All the best
I would love to see a 2022 version of this video Talking about where you are now What would really make it 🔥🔥 is if you wore the same outfit in this video, and film in the same room as this one
@@Howfinity wow... those are... pricey. Can you recommend a really good professional quality 1080p camera? We bought a couple of 1080p Canon Vixias for our podcast but the quality doesn't seem very good. Im guessing maybe the sensors arent very good?
The Not Dumb Podcast btw, I just watched this video: i think it was my first one and I’ve made 400 since on this channel. Can’t believe how long it took me to explain the point
