Fun fact, the model for teenage Kiryu was modeled directly off of the original PS2 model rather than the one form Zero. Because of this, Young Kiryu's facial structure is more similar to PS2 era Kiryu than the new design for Kiryu's face.

Now maybe he rocked this style younger since i believe he is 12 here and when he became 16-18 then he changed his style since he was fully joining the gokudo, and then when he became dragon of dojima did he finally rock his old childhood style again, i mean thats all i can think of

I wish yakuza would also show Kiryus parents and their side too…. I know Shintairo Kazama killed them but it would’ve been cool to see them holding baby Kiryu and when they got killed
I just noticed young Kiryu was wearing a jacket with the artwork of the dragon, almost as if he has a fate in bonding with his own baby spirit animal, raise it, and make it become one with him so he can be known as the legendary Dragon of Dojima.

This doesn't make sense to me. In the English translation, it says the Jingweon massacre took place 26 years ago, but in Kiwami 2 Kiryu is 38.
Do you mean to tell me that's Kiryu as a 12 year old? He looks like he's 16 - 18 in the flashback. One of these details has to be wrong.
Have you seen Ryuji as a 12 year old? I find this Kiryu more believable than the beast that was ryuji as a toddler
@@bisska1 you mean in Yakuza 0? Yeah I remember the Majima Substory. I took it as a bit of a gag, although he is huge in Kiwami 2. Still, it's off-putting and I takes me out of the story a little bit.
My little brothers are huge, super tall and muscular for their age. They tower above other 8, 13, and 15 y/o kids. That being said Kiryu here DOES NOT look 12 LOL...I think they just suck at modeling age correctly.
