Dojima and Shimano were totally scumbags but if anything, this and the massacre scene kinda showed why those two along with Kazama were the most dangerous leaders in the Tojo that even Kiryu had to give some credit for making the Clan as powerful as it did in its heyday.

@No Names YT No. Sohei Dojima was just one of the made men in the early Tojo Clan days who was actually competent in his youth. With Kazama and Shimano under him, they escalated the Tojo Clan to the powerhouse faction it was with the Jingweon Massacre.
So yeah, he was powerful who became way too arrogant for his own good because of it.
I think it’s kazuma and kiryus decisions that cause problems for the clan later on. My opinion is dojima and shimano was right, even tho by civilian standards they are morally wrong.
I get Kazama wholeheartedly, however this isnt some gang club house war. This is the YAKUZA and the MAFIA. the Tojo had a reputation to hold, and in order for them to be seen as THE TOJO IN ITS PRIME may i add, killing them was the logical solution. In kiwami 1, we see that Kazama never liked his work as a Yakuza, and i dont blame the dude. Its a tough life to live

I always wonder why Kazama didn't become Chairman after the event of Yakuza 0 after everything he accomplished. not to mention everyone both respected him and feared him hell even the 3 Captains of Dojima as well Kuze, Awano, and Shibuwasa
I bet if Kazama anointed himself as the Chairman, he would earn the ire of Dojima and Shimano who would rather call the shots than become subordinates to anyone else, especially a close rival like Kazama and the two would plot to have Kazama whacked while pretending to be loyal.

Let's be real here , dojima is right .
Shimano just seeks revenge , and kazama being naive .
But dojima said : those jingeown fucks is diffrenet , their ways is below the belt .
And he is right , they arent like the yakuza who is about fighting , they are more like assassins .
And if he let them they will suprass dojima family in kamurochu , yet kazama playing the good guy goes there and make a deal with them to skip the town ?
If he succeded does those mafia seemed to be the one who will forgots kamurcho and move on ?
No they will come back prepared to declare war against the dojima family .
And yet when he was forced to kill them he lets some of them to run , which becomes a major reason for alot of bad things happend in the future .

Dojima didn't tell them to wipe them all out of revenge , he said those guys are diffrenet which he was right , the seeked revenge for 26 years .
I know it sounds harsh but it's the truth if wiped them all unless some of them (and they are an assassionation mafia) they will mostly seeks revenge , point is i don't agree with alot of dojima's action in general but here he has a point (hit too soft and we've dug our graves)

God damn now I know how come a man like Kazama respects him as a boss. He looks leverything like a boss here. Dojima even has his own Dragon to his name: Kiryu... Wish they could have made him a more respectable though
Now we need a game which shows how the yakuza was originated and its origins and shows the first chairman and we play with 3 protagonists kazama shintaro and osamu kashiwagi and daisaku kuze it will be unbelievable game and we see kiryu and majima when they were at their youngest days

Kiwami 2 takes place in 2006. 20 years ago is 1986. So Kiryu was 18 at this point.

Yes. Years prior to Zero, Kazama and Shimano were Dojima's top guys. They were the Kuze, Awano, and Shibusawa of the time. The Jingweon Massacre elevated just about everyone involved which was why the Dojima family were ridiculously powerful until Zero. Kazama became the family's captain (though he and Dojima are at odds ever since) and Shimano left to form his own family.
Yakuza 1/Kiwami kinda did those guys a tad dirty before later entries made it very clear starting with Y2/Kiwami 2 that they earned their reputation by the blood they soaked themselves into.

@@DevilPogoStick but I loved fighting Shimano lol. They need to make a Kazama game where Kazama and Shimano were enemies before they teamed up just like in Kiwami but way earlier before like even Kiryu was born. And then in that game you get to see Kazama murder Kiryu’s parents and adopt him.

This was 3 years before 0 so they could've been barely recruited or earning there spots but Kuze said he used to box so maybe he was leaving the sports world for the underground empire
Probably they were in lewer ranks , three years later they were lieutenants .
And you don't become this high ranks in yakuza in mere three years .
So they were in the dojima family as punks as kiryu in Y0 maybe and kazama and shimano were probably lieutenants .
I wonder in the event of Y0 if shimano and his family were separate from the dojima or they were like kazama family (under the dojimas)
Maybe kuze weren't because he had his own clan (it's not big as tojo clan nor the dojima family for sure) and later on he joined the dojima .
Otherwise it doesn't make sense atleast to me why he had kenno clan instead of kuze family like kazama shimano shibusawa did
