Hyundai Excavators are great machines, I have owned and operated several. They all made that hydraulic pump sound, but you can’t hear it from inside the cab and it makes no difference to their operation or longevity in service.
Cool !!! In Russia, I operate the #hyundai #R220LC excavator. She is much smaller than #HX900 The #cummins engine never let me down. I would like to operate the new #HX series excavators
Nice machine but very noisey, however it is a good video of it being operated. What was the flash from the back end of the machine at 0:23 into the video?
@@AwesomeEarthmovers , well....either the pump is suffering from a hideous cavitation while or ?? Guess I'll write a friend in Hyundai CE service and ask WTF. All the Demags H series machines I worked on NEVER made that kinna pump noise and they were High Pressure units too.
@@AwesomeEarthmovers yes I have seen drives damaged on hard rock from the constant pounding on to them the back seal goes along way the sun gear . But it's not over night thing . It's just nicer to the drives to pivot on them not smash them
I’m just a youngun here but in my experience the machine is plenty tough enough to dig over the drives. Where I’m from machines wear out their drives from padding over stumps and logs on the steeps long before the drives fail from digging over them. 3 Hyundai’s, two with 17000 hours and one with 1500, excellent equipment.
@@randybobandyscheeseburgerp4387 it's not the drives am thinking about it's the seals from the sand and water the seals are getting worked up and down constant plus rotational forces I gave it's only .001 thou but when there ment to last 40.000+ hours and were out sooner that's new parts a day down with costs and lost earnings . What's worse ripping into a main drive that's busted or ripping into a working one that's leaking from the car body to drive seal 🤔 Your thoughts back would be greatly appreciated
Craig Nicholson I don’t have much to say because you’re right. I never thought about the seals. I’ve assumed that the finals are plenty tough enough to take it, but over long term the seals are what might lead to damage if foreign material is getting in. I usually work over the idlers just out of convenience, but if I happen to be facing the other way I typically just stick with working over the finals.
Man what a great video you will need to do a cab view next time that you are over at the plant because I would sure like to see the inside of that machine. So next time do a cab view. Have a great day
@@banffdigger your probably right Kurt, regardless they can can keep their Hyundai's. Never ever again, not an excavator or even one of their crappy cars.
I never would have thought that this machine would swing as fast as it is. However Why would he be digging over top of the final drives? And why hasn’t aomebody mentioned this to him. I’m
Justin Beck The whole digging over finals thing is so overblown. It really won’t make much difference unless you are sitting on rock digging rock all day long for months on end. I’ve never seen or heard of damage to final drives happening because of it.
Awesome Earthmovers So true. I’ve never seen damage done in all my years. People on the internet just see one person write it so they all write it to try and convince people they think they know what they are talking about.
It is the bushing in the chain that get damage by the weight of sprocket when digging under heavy load. When idler in front, the weight is distributed on out side out chain, not on bushing.
Well he should "not" be swinging to his blind side, if he swung to his "full view side" the bucket spillage would be on ground instead of back in the water for better production over time.
It has a camera on blind side dead centre on top of body painted same colour and one on the back I can't see one on the cab side but they do a 360 view with cameras to the monitor in the cab obviously.
I've owned one Hyundai and operated others they are a cheap nasty peice of shit. We have one in our quarry and it's done 900 hours and it has so many problems it's just PARKED UP.
I have owned and operated three Hyundai Excavators and have found them to be excellent. I use them in forestry and we absolutely torture them. They have never let me down. The oldest one has done 14500 hours and the only thing that has gone wrong is the multi-rib fan belt on the Cummins engine only last about 6 months.
Todd Reynolds it’s not a very deep gravel deposit so excavator is ideal. The owner of the excavator is a former dragline operator so he knows what he needs.
Ok. I opened mouth inserted foot. Lol. Didnt know that shallow. Of a vein of gravel, nice looking material. I own. 6 Hyundai excavators. Ive had fairly good luck with them
Mike O. I spent quite a bit of time on a mid 90’s 200 and a 130. They were so fast that when I cast the stick out and stopped it, it would literally make the entire machine bounce, which caused my ams to bounce and throw the stick out more and lower the boom at the same time. I had to take my hands off of the controls and let it come to a stop. The 200 had the stick cylinder replaced twice because it blew the rod right out of the end of the barrel. I’ve run almost every manufacturer out there and the older Hyundai’s were by far the fastest machines I’ve ever run. I’m not sure what the new ones are like, I haven’t run one, but out of everything I’ve run, the kobelco is the most operator friendly machine I’ve run. Funny thing is, I only own Cases and Link Belts now. I’ve owned a couple of Komatsus and run a ton of Cat’s, both good machines, but as far as my experience, all of the Cases I’ve owned have been the most fuel efficient, reasonably priced, but most importantly, reliable machines I ever owned. I get four full days out of a tank of fuel in my CX145C and over three days on my 210. Both of my PC200’s only got a day and half with comparable size tanks.
JRBUISEXCAVATING Id like to try an older one out now that you say that. I don’t have any seat time on kobelcos nor link belts. The company I work for just got a Case145 about 2 years ago and it is a great machine. My only complaint with it is that it’s kind of a rough ride in high gear, the cab will really get to shaking. So I track around in low lol. I spend most of my time on a komatsu pc490 and cat 345. The komatsu has less than a 1000 hrs and the 345 has 10000 hours on it. End of the day I’d rather have the cat but the topcon gps on the komatsu is pretty awesome. I’ll be interested to see how the 490 holds up compared to the 345
Mike O. I have a link belt LS5800Q that’s been a great machine too, that one eats fuel though. I’m lucky to get through a day and a half on 172 gallons. How’s the fuel consumption on the PC 490 and the 345?
I don't know why...but I always like to watch these excavators while working 🤗❤️
