We love our 15 passenger ford transit. We have had it almost a month now. Its a low roof but just being able to go places as a family in 1 car, now being able to do grocery pick up when my husband is at work, and things like that make life so much easier for us. We have 6 kids and our youngest 4 are 3 & under so lots of car seats & its still a milliom times easier to load the kids. We removed 2 middle back seats and are considering removing the jump seat right inside the door to make getting in easier there. The kids can see everything now too which is also great. We want to name ours too but still have not!
Congrats! Love the van❤️ We currently have 3 kids and I remember being so excited and grateful when we bought our mini van. Always a fantastic feeling to have space for all the kids and car seats.

If you want a good phone mount, I highly recommend proclip. I recently installed one in my Transit and it is solid. It clips into the weird triangle shaped pocket thing to the right of the steering wheel. I've used suction cup mounts and vent clip magnet mounts, and this proclip mount is so much better.

Welcome to the transit club!!! We absolutely love our transit! We too have a 15 passenger midroof, we bought it new in 2016, we haven't had any problems with it at all during the last 4 years. The vehicle has been Amazing, we have been to 20 states with ours!
*We call ours Big Blue, because it's blue lol.
Congratulations!!! I agree with more electronics, more stuff to break. I got a new van in 2016 after 17-1/2 years and I couldn't get as much manual stuff as I would've liked. So far, it's been fine.

I have a 10 passenger transit. It's awesome! 6 (almost 7) kids. Get the windows tinted in the van. You'll love it even more.

We are three months (and 9,000 miles) into having our 2017 and love it just as much as the day we bought it! You absolutely won't regret getting one of these!

Party Bus - lol. Had a van when all my big kids were little too. Looking at getting one again now we foster - this van might work for us with the leg space for adults too.

We are a family of 6. I don't really feel like a large family yet. But in april we bought a 12 passenger van. We bought a Ford E-350 and on the title it's classified as a bus so I thought about naming ours "The Bus" but no name for now.

Man American parking lots must be huge 🤭 I drive a VW Polo, so basically one of the smallest cars haha and I break a sweat when I have to drive somewhere I don't know (Germany) 😵 anyhow, very interesting to see your new car and all of the space it provides for you guys
I agree that German parking slots are often very small especially in citys 😅
My sister in law drives a vito which is one of the bigger vans in Germany and often struggles to find parking.
We had a 90's jeep Cherokee and lived in Germany for 4 years. It was rough but we got used to it fast. I still miss driving there!
My dad has a Mercedes V Class which is basically a more luxurious version of the Vito and lemme tell y’all it’s been quite a hassle before to find a large enough parking spot in Germany! Everything is so small here but somehow my dad manages to find a spot everywhere we go and most of the time it’s right in front of our destination. We‘ve been to several different countries in Europe with it but Italy must’ve been the worst! We actually thought we might destroy the entire car because those streets are even smaller than in Germany

Sorry for being "that guy" but heads up Graco requires both cupholders on Ruby's seat. And just making sure you know that there is a weight limit on using LATCH. Lastly, I didn't catch the FF seats so this may not be a reminder for you, but could be helpful to someone else, FF seats MUST have the top feather used.

Fun Fact where I am from (Germany) you can pretty much only get vans up to 9 passengers because that the maximum amount of people you can transport on a normal driving licence.
Is there a limit like that in the US ?
Not that I’m aware of! I believe it’s more like axles/weight that determine whether or not you need a commercial license (but I’m not positive, I just know there’s no passenger limit!)
You have to have a commercial license if your vehicle is 16 passengers or greater. We have 12 children and a 15 passenger midroof transit as well. I Love my van! It is the best!

It depends on which state you live in the laws vary by state in the U.S.
@@Courtnie41 this is true, although that is pretty much the standard in most states. We own a company that requires constant travel so I am constantly looking up carseat laws, and various laws pertaining to different states. There are some states that we will actually turn down work in because of their crazy laws lol. 😊

We actually just got ours (2017, black) about a month before you got yours and I completely get walking to the window to make sure it's still there. I actually went through three days of momentarily thinking Amazon Prime was here because I would see our van on the road in front of the house! Haha!
We also took out the first jump seat. It's our potty spot. The potty seat (LOVE our playtex potty with disposable bags!) stores under the seat across where that one was (where your pink graco seat is) and just slides out into the open space to get used.
We actually have the same pink and green Graco seats as well and, although we no longer have a child of our own rear-facing, we still have a similar Graco rear-facing seat in the same spot you have yours . We frequently have other people's kids with us and when there's nobody in it, it makes the perfect spot to drop lose items that would otherwise shift around when we turn.
We toyed with the idea of taking this to rear seats out but our big three frequently like to sit together back there. Plus, between under the seats and back of the seat pockets, I haven't wanted for storage space yet! Just today, I managed to fit three little kids' bikes and two full sized bikes in the van so we could go riding at the park while hubby had the truck! This thing is INCREDIBLE!
Hope you guys have an amazing time adventuring in yours as we already have in ours! We've already managed to put 9,000 miles on it since June! 😉
So, with this van, would you guys be able to all pack into the same car when you go out of town for Sukkot? Or, would you have to pack all the kiddos in one car, and pack your supplies in another? Just curious :-)
Fun side note: When we were growing up and we would go on our family camping trips, my mom and dad and all five of us kids would all pack into a 1969 Nova with no A/C - including our camping supplies (tent, sleeping bags, etc.).
We should be able to get everyone and everything in the transit!

We got one and we only have 4 kids. We took 5 seats out and have them stored in the garage, so with our current seating configuration we have have plenty of seating space and cargo space for Costco trips. And if we ever need more seats, I just install the one's we took out.

It is a lovely van. The passenger seats dont look like there is leg room. The seats seem to follow eachother very closely. Is there more room in person. I know video changes perspective.
There’s plenty of legroom for an average height person, someone very tall probably wouldn’t find it as comfortable, but strategic seating would help with that!

We have five kids.. could no longer fit in a “normal” sized van with car seats... plus other family we usually have with us. We have the high roof- or whatever it’s called. We love our transit! I will never have another car! ...and we never know, we may adopt/foster in the future! 🤷🏻♀️
Our #6 is due in February and we are hoping to get a transit too.

I cannot imagine having so many kids to the point where you need a VAN to fit everyone!!!!! WOW! I'm sure its fun but I kind of feel bad for the kids. I am an only child so I got ALL the attention from my parents and I always got everything I wanted all the time. For me to imagine having 8 siblings...I legit cannot! If I want a $2,000 bag for my birthday, I get it. But imagine 8 kids asking for that same bag. It blows my mind! However, YOUR FAMILY IS CUTE! AND I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS 😍😍😍😍😍😍

This van costs $41,000 new but you got it used so I'm assuming it cost around $20,000...and you had to take a loan???!!???? Damn this makes me appreciate my life and makes me grateful for what I have. Seriously though, I'm never going to complain about my life again!!! Wow
