Great video. I don’t have a laser machine either and have XS max that needs back repaired. Going to buy housing with pre installed parts like yours. In what order should I remove parts to transfer onto the new housing you think?

The order isn’t so specific. Just as long as you don’t lose track of your screws. It helps to do one section at time so you don’t get overwhelmed. For the XS I’d remove the battery first. Then Face ID. Then the board

@@repaironwheels thank you for the quick reply. Would you say that’s typically the order you follow on all models?

Hi! Do you still take mail ins? I have an iPhone 13 in mint condition no cracks nothing wrong with it. I would be interested in a housing swap because I really just want a white phone instead of a red phone. Would this be possible?

Sonds not as quick as replacing the back glass… but interesting display of the inner life of my phone though

I can do a housing replacement in about 30 minutes, which is far less time than doing glass only, which can take several hours depending on what kind of glue you use

so in order to fix the back glass i should.... take a chance on breaking the front screen during removal ? that makes zero sense lol.

There are risks either way. Pick your battle. Personally I see more things go wrong (severed flex’s, punctured batteries, damaged motherboard, damaged screens, etc) from doing back glass leaving everything inside the phone than I do from the way I do it. I’m not the only shop that feels this way. Also, if you want genuine apple parts like a lot of people do, than you’d have to do this repair anyway. I know of many shops that partially disassemble the device when doing aftermarket back glass. It’s all about risk tolerance the level of workmanship you hold yourself to. Personally I haven’t damaged a screen in 3 years. Once you know how to do to properly there’s very little risk. So maybe that says more about your work than mine

@@repaironwheels "there are risks either way" unless of course YOU do the repair, because you never damage a screen, right ? give me a break, your entire argument is so purposefully obtuse and ridiculous that it borders on farce. no one besides some idiot youtuber is going to agree that the smartest way to fix a completely cosmetic defect on an iphone is to remove the most expensive part of the phone which would make the phone inoperable if it was damaged during the repair, v.s. MAYBE damaging a pointless flex connector or the battery. and why tf do you assume i'm some lame ass c list fixit guy like you ? why bother taking it to that level of personal insults ? OH I KNOW, your crappy little youtube channel with not even 6k subscribers is your whole identity and you got triggered. LOL how sad and pathetic.
