  • Join Carbon Engineering’s VP and Head of Business Development, Lori Guetre, as she walks through what it would mean to achieve net zero - including what time we have left in our carbon budget and the tools available today to help get the job done. Plus, the potential to go beyond net zero - to begin to draw down the excess carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Join us for a look at carbon and climate math.
Carbon Engineering Ltd. (CE) is a leading developer of Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology that captures carbon dioxide (CO2) directly out of the atmosphere. CE is focused on the global deployment of large-scale DAC technology. Facilities that use CE’s technology can be built in one or more modules capable of capturing 500,000 tonnes of CO2 annually. Today, with industry-leading development partners, CE is working to deploy several large-scale facilities in various markets around the world.

Yes 🙌. I agree ☝️. Why isn’t the world 🌎 rushing towards Squamish, BC, Canada 🇨🇦?

Greenhouse radiant energy from the earth is completely absorbed within 20 meters of the radiating surface in earth's greenhouse effect. It's impossible from known science for greenhouse gas behavior to cause global warming and it does not correlate with CO2 levels in the atmosphere..

Question: Are you looking into using synthetic fuel based on DAC to solve the volatility issue of green energy sources such as solar panels and wind turbines? To me that could be one of the most amazing uses of this technology. When wind/solar farms produce more energy than the net needs you can use the excess to synthesize synthetic fuel which you can then burn when the wind/solar farms produce too little. In essence, this technology could in that case solve the issue of electricity storage as well.

Nice. However, the one thing that is absolutely crucial is your energy requirements to capture the CO2, compress it sufficiently and transport it to, say a depleted gas reserve. Have you done calculations on whether or not this process is net zero? In other words, how much c02 goes out in the air versus how much you can put in the ground? Can your process be completely electrical? Is it possible for green hydrogen to power your processes?

This is exactly the video I’d’ve loved to have seen in 2019. That year, climate change and the nature crisis were rammed down my throat in a manner never before seen. On Facebook, I thought that I was helping by joining a group called #YouGoGreta but that just made matters worse. It kept on documenting grim article after grim article. I got sick of it and unsubscribed from that group and what made matters worse, that year [2019], I made amends with my in-laws. The reasons why I ultimately made amends with my in-laws, I won’t go through because it’s an extremely long story but they forgave me all my mistakes. If only I saw this in 2019, my green heart would’ve been satisfied…

They literally spend billions on climate research every year when it's been "settled science" for 2 decades apparently. How many times over could they have captured the carbon if had spent the billions of projects like this? It's a scam. Rich guy tax write off by buying land for tax write off's. Excuse to tax absolutely everything everyone does. Evil genius really.

Stop 🛑 being so pessimistic. This does work and is a climate saviour.
