I was really taken by Lamego. Portuguese cities are really beautiful but these central ones are really special.
Lamego is already in the North region of Portugal.
Great vid of beautiful city. Just a note on pronouncing the name, lam AY goo. Some of the most glorious and expensive azulejos are made here.

I have not been to Lamego. I thought about going based on your video, but it is miles away. Well north of Viseu, which itself is basically on the far side of the moon for me. No train there, so i would have to drive it and I honestly don't want to deal with 2-3 hours each way. You think 90 mins on the road is nothing. I think that's like a safari. On the ice-cream eating, it is hard to digest and I stopped consumption of all cold food after living in China for so long. As I am sure you know, TCM teaches that cold foods are a no-no.

Well, I've got to inform you that Lamego is the portuguese city with one of the best portuguese chorizo, named Moira de Lamego, by itself makes it worth to be omnivorous. Sorry!
After the Lamego stairs, asking someone to go down the stairs of a dam, is the same as looking for a famous Portuguese sign, "O Manguito" commonly represented by an equally Portuguese figure "O Zé Povinho". Yes, commenting is also culture.

I don't get the concrete jungles surrounding those magnificent places, went there did the tour, and travel, it's hard to conceive, after my first 4 years as I hgv driver I realised how small Britain,UK. Is it's built on hubs, anyway the piss head talks... again
