@@eezytunes7180 Except they never originally stayed dead in the comics. Gwen Stacy is dead in the 616 comics. Aunt May died in the 616 comics but was brought back. And it was Uncle Aaron that died, not Officer Jefferson. They portrayed Miles' origin story perfectly accurate in the ITSV movie.
@@troyoboyo17 I agree with most of this video but your story thing I don't really completely agree with no I don't think it should be about Craven and lizard at the first day I have a few reasons why but I think that lizard should be near the beginning of the game but I don't think he should be a story point in a way but I think that that honor should be presented to Norman and Salazar Smyth as the Martin Lee of the game here's my reason why so is there a Smyth is an underused villain with pretty cool in Spider-Man Amazing Spider-Man 2 even though the game was a colossal klusterfuk I honestly thought his character was pretty cool and I think in this game he should be used as the more I think he should be the Martin Li at the game and also the silver Sable he should also challenge Spider-Man with his combat making the game a mix of web of Shadows Spider-Man 2 Amazing Spider-Man 2 I mean and Horizon zero Dawn I know that last one's a little bit weird but I can explain it but I think that Norman wouldn't really be an antagonist I think he would be more of a mastermind at first basically luring spider knowing back that MJ was in a flab in a few other things I think that really Norman is a scientist and he may hate Spider-Man but he knows that Spider-Man's DNA and apparently this new Spider-Man's DNA must be connected so what would he do with that information he would set a trap using some resources and pulling the strings I believe he would use Salazar's my fat first set a trap Midway through the game getting the Symbiote on to Peter and then near the end at the game there is like a Venom stuff I think Harry would be cured at first and slowly transitions into Venom I can't make this a big big big thing I could make a script out of this but I don't want to cuz this is only a UA-cam comment but I think Green Goblin should be saved for the next game for many reasons and I could explain that but I prefer each game to stick with one villain near the end Doc Ock with the main antagonist the end and really was pulling the strings throughout the game completely and I think that Norman should be that but he wouldn't paganist of the game completely it would be at to Martin leaves almost like with silver Sable and Venom would be the real main antagonist and near the end of the game maybe in a post credit scene Green Goblin could be made but only my opinion and my opinion alone
I think it would be cool to have a prologue type thing at the beginning to build that relationship between Peter and Harry. Like instead of just telling the player that they were good friends show them in highschool. Maybe we get to play as a 16 year old spider-man in this prologue idk.
Exactly, the reason Harry in the Amazing Spider-Man 2 was a fail was because they just dropped him in the story for the sake of it with no build up whatsoever, it's like they expect us to believe they were friends for years even though there was no hint of him in the first movie.
Would be cool to have an awkward teenage Peter going through just getting his powers while also being friends with Harry. Maybe Peter picks up a life lesson in the flashback that he bestows upon Miles by the end of the game
Good way to segway into Peters first ever fight with the Lizard. Once the boss fight ends the game could all of the sudden cut to the present and we get to play a little mission as Miles. It sets up everything

It was already mentioned how Peter fought Dr. Conners as the Lizard. He managed to develop a cure, but it didn’t last very long. You find this out by discovering a vial of lizard blood in a backpack. Great video btw! I’m also super excited for whatever happens next!
true, and also happens with some other villains. the game storý was perfect, but they shouldn't have put references to villains from the past in the backpacks in order to keep the next games free on their story development
@@Alex-gs3ri honestly they probably have a sketch about what storilines they want to develop to the sequels, spin-offs and everything.. so hinting about villains and things that happaned to spider-man in the past are a great way of developing that world.. sure, he fought lizard in the past so what? we don't know nothing.. also on some farewell thing he got from the bugle there is a sign from his former colleagues and eddie brock signed it, so we know eddie exists in that world and works for bugle, or at least worked
The only idea I didn’t like was Harry automatically becoming Venom, I think it would be much more impactful and cool to have Harry be eventually fully healed by the symbiote, come back happy and believing everything is normal maybe even having some superhuman-like abilities perhaps enhanced speed and strength, then slowly transforming into Venom kind of like the Fly movie
Actually I want to see a symbiote army with all crazy versions of it like toxin hybrid scream etc except carnage because I want carnage to be saved for future games. More over green goblin should also not be introduced. More playable characters like miles venom spidermam agent venom. Yes I want to introduce agent venom as a supporting character and a fanmade character named agent carnage. The version of the lizard could be like the giant kraken in clash of the titans. I wanted two more bosses, jackal and morbious. I want to make sand man like cronos in god of war 3. And a far from home version of hydroman . He will appear when peter will be on a ship in oceans and a stormy climate with foggs and rains. Defeating lizard can be during snow fall and we will see green goblin in the post credit scene.
PACHIC Let Norman killing Gwen unintentional and accidentally but looking extra bad in Miles ages and then otherwise Goblin/Norman didn’t do that much and he lets him free and then peter explains to miles that he had to or something,? Idk it is tough I agree with you but it makes the emotional stakes higher
Maybe after the Kraven fight when Peter beats him and Miles stops him from killing him, Kraven manages to get up and flee saying *I'll be back* Enraged, Peter scolds Miles and tells him to not get in his way. The Symbiote has changed him so much that he blames Otto for May's death and goes to the Raft to kill him. To save Otto, Miles goes to confront him. Then we have that boss fight and the story continues.
I think that instead of him going there maybe Otto is being transported to shield so spider-man stops the transportation and then grabs Otto out of the truck the guards are about to shoot peter then he grabs them and throws them of the Manhattan bridge then miles swings over and barley catches the guards he tells them to leave now then miles and peter fight
Maybe, like how the first game started off with the kingpin fight. The second game could start off with the first time Connors fought Spider-Man, the one threat the public never found out about.

I honestly don’t think we’ll see Green Goblin in this just Lizard Kraven and Venom. I think they’ll save him as the villain of the 3rd game to be the ultimate big bad of the Insomniac games. The way I see this game going is Harry dying as a result of Miles or Peters actions and that’s Normans breaking point where he starts developing the goblin formula to get revenge against the spider-men.
I adore this. This brings me back to be young and fantasising and creating your own stories in your head long before the real thing comes to fruition. Of course the stories in your head are often better, but I digress. There’s so much potential for the dynamic between Miles and Peter in the sequel. My face had a beaming smile every cutscene that played with Miles developing until eventually becoming Spider-Man. I was so happy. To see a story with two simultaneous Spider-Men roaming is so wonderful, backed up by JJJ’s reaction. The student and the pro. They should call it “Marvel’s Spider-Men”. That would be perfection.

maybe make the "Final fight" he's talking about in the prewrite. not the final one. but instead add 4 more boss fights. every boss fight we see a cutscene of eddie. basically in the "final fight" where they capture the symbiote. instead it escapes and latches on to eddie. every boss fight we see venom starting to form.
This was a really good video and I do indeed like the story. Although everything with Miles and Gwen was pretty all over the place. If you're going to have Gwen in the story just make her a real character, because we all know that her character is famous for dying, therefore we don't get attached. Then when Miles becomes overcome with anger and almost kills Norman? I mean come on that's a little out of character to not just for comic Miles, but for the one, Insomniac built up in the game too. It's really good overall, but the little things like character interactions as well as an all-around lack of disinterested towards the end is what is making this from good to great. Hopefully, this was good constructive criticism, as for ideas to change it of my own, I think that we should just take out everything with Gwen, maybe replace her with Carly Cooper or something then just have Venom fully kill Harry instead of making the deal with Norman. After that have Norman hire Kraven or something, try to kill Venom doesn't work, Venom dodges the bullet and kills Carly instead. I would treat Miles more like a Robin and Nightwing in Arkham Knight, where you play as Peter for the whole story but at some parts you get help from Miles.

U could have peter losing Gwen in a flashback where they say that’s where the green goblin was last seen. And they could say with that he never found out who the Goblin was. Would be cool to have flashbacks happen along the same time as the main story paralleling Peter’s youth and Miles’s.
Here's my take starts off well, Peter training miles, everything going pretty smooth. However, Norman is desperately attempting to save Harry from his disease, and knows something needs to bond with the symbiote. He suspects Spider-Man could bond with it to make the symbiote adsorb his radioactive strength and cure Harry. Norman Osborn decides to recruit Dr. Connors, and as they are working Dr Connors notices that Norman is starting to develop early signs of the disease. He edits his Lizard DNA to try to cure Norman, but accidentally turns him into The Goblin. Connors still wants to cure Harry, so he tries to infect Spider-Man with the symbiote, but hasn't succeeded yet. Peter and Miles are fighting Goblin when Goblin kills Gwen Stacy. Miles is PISSED and attempts to murder Goblin, but peter goes to stop him. The two face off in a similar battle to what you said but peter wins. While they were fighting, the symbiote makes it's way into Mile's backpack. The Goblin escapes, and the two spider-men head to Peters, miles crashing on Peter's couch. Through the night the Symbiote attaches itself to Peter and he gets the symbiote suit. Goblin decides to apologize to Otto to offer him revenge, so him, Otto and the rest of the Sinister Six all escape The Raft, and cause chaos throughout the city. As Peter and Miles are both fighting them they narrow them down to Otto and Norman, and they fight them, Peter nearly kills Otto but miles stops him. Otto and Goblin escape, and while Miles is asleep Peter escapes to the Clock/Bell tower where Gwen Stacy was killed and the symbiote found him, and gets the symbiote off of him using the Bell's noise. The Symbiote returns to Harry and turns him into Venom. Venom joins Otto and Goblin, but Otto develops a cure for his body's weakness and he slowly becomes more sane. Soon, the Goblin and Venom attack times square. Regular Peter and Miles arrive to try to put a stop to it. Realizing Venom joined them, they conclude it's a 2v3 and that they'd likely die fighting them. They start fighting and Venom + Gobby are too strong and Peter and Miles are both nearly killed. Just in the nick of time however, Otto comes and starts fighting venom and goblin, and it's now one giant final battle. Venom is killed along with Harry, and The Goblin, attempting to destroy everyone at time square, triggers a Last Ditch Effort bomb and ends up killing himself. Otto is forgiven, joins the two heroes and the game ends. (if this is confusing at all then sorry i'm just some fanboy not a writer of any sorts)
I'm guessing Martin Li isn't going to be in the next game, maybe Insomniac can use the excuse of "I'm against Osborn, not Spider-Man." Or maybe if Li knows Osborn is the Green Goblin during the Raft escape, he tries to kill Osborn, but fails and either dies or is saved by Spider-Man.
I like the split between Peter and Miles' potential movesets. In the grand tradition of making hot take Arkham comparisons, I would most certainly play up Miles as one more adept at stealth and agility, what with his camouflage and venom sting powers, and it's up to the player to go on missions either as a tactician or as a brawler.
Heres how i would rewrite it. Starts with eddie in an investigation on the mayor for getting a hint by MJ on there as they have became partners in investigation. Eddie ends up in the room with harry and the symbiote breaks the glass and eddie tries to run but it goes to lock down and we see it go straight to black. Skips to peter and Miles you pick who you want to play as but get a taste of both of them and their abilities in the first mission. Which is a fight against prowler. End of fight and prowler escapes but not without leaving fisks records at the scene. MJ phones peter saying that her friend Eddie has gone missing after taking the harry case. So he goes to look Skips to norman talking in his office to an unknown man he is telling him that he needs to get the symbiote back as its the only way to keep harry alive. Then we hear a “kraven I’m trusting you” end of call. Its a game of spideman looking for eddie whilst kraven is too. Pans to eddie at night on the top of oscorp. You play as venom break into oscorp and steal the files for the investigation as its all eddie wants is the truth. Spiderman rushes to the scene. And his spider sense gets triggered, and we hear a “you’ll do” Eddie is on the floor with files around him and spiderman is missing. Miles finds him and brings him and the files to MJ And they try to get answers, and thats when we get info on whats going on bla bla bla boring stuff. Kraven thinking venom is on someone else is hunting spiderman and catches him however underestimated it as he didnt realise it was spiderman. Boss fight bla bla bla, Kraven retreats saying he will be back, Peter sees himself as powerful and goes to curt connor to get info and curt says he’s tested this before with norman he should get rid of it as its manipulating neuros in the brain making you more fearless yet more dangerous, peter doesn’t listen and then norman goes insane because he wants to do anything to make sure his son stays alive as he doesn’t want to be alone so he injections himself with a a virus turning him into the goblin. And another boss battle Peter almost kills him, miles stops You pick as either miles or peter to play as Both end with peter ripping the suit off. Norman takes it back to harry after the dna manipulation of peter and it changes harrys body. Norman tries to help but him getting in contact with venom adds his dna into the mix turning harry into hobgoblin. Venom crawls away making his way back to eddie somehow. Duo fight green goblin and hobgoblin vs both spidermen Green goblin goes down. Peter dies Hob goblin dies. Miles latches onto peter feeling he is to blame. And skips to another funeral scene. In normans will harrys gets oscorp. Im harrys will MJ and Peter get oscorp. Oscorp is now owned by MJ. MJ goes to the room peter got bit by a spider and she becomes spiderwoman. Mid cut scene is fisk and the dimensional rift being finished End cut scene is the spiderverse characters showing up in ps4 universe
Hey Troy. Long time listener, first time caller... I just wanted to say that fridging Gwen has been done to death... What if she becomes the perfect host to venom. Her costume in the comics is already white and black. It would subvert a tired trope and empower Gwen... It would be a unique way of bringing spider Gwen into this univerce.

End credits shows the symbiote sneak into a duffel bag or suitcase which apparently belongs to Eddie Brock and Brock is going to San Francisco which sets up a venom game and it can be rated M to give those people who want a violent venom unlike the movie
It's just me bro but I think I would change Mile's girlfriend to Hailey Cooper from the Miles spin off game. The upsides are they already have touched on this relationship and throughout a second game they could expand it even more.
I think your theory is really close to what I’ve been thinking too but, I think they’ll save Goblin for three and give us Eddie as Venom. Although I also think Harry will die, but the Goblin formula will be the new intended cure for Harry etc etc Now that we have the new trailer I would also say that we might get Venom gameplay at the end of two and all throughout three.
I have the idea of Gwen getting a character arc similar to Miles had in Game 1. She gets bitten by a GMed spider but unlike Miles doesn't reveal it to anyone and starts Spider-Womaning it up on her own. She doesn't have gadgets yet so she'd be more like a parkour free runner with a guerilla approach to fighting. She dons a black and white hoodie and wears purple rimmed sunglasses and a pink bandana around her lower face to obscure her identity. She'll bump into Peter and/or Miles one or twice before finally teaming up before the finale.
I think the beginning should be more like You finish the first one? Play as a megapowerful Spidey with full upgrades! You dont have the first one? Play as weak miles scrub!
Great ideas (especially giving each suit their own black variant)! Now here are some of my own (feel free to discuss): - MJ could possibly snag a bit of symbiote for herself, considering how much she touted about wanting to help Peter and the whole 'I'm not made of glass' comments. - The return of Mr Negative, most notably Martin Li's positive side (as I thought that was lacking in service of Dr Octavius' development), which could lead to the creation of Anti-Venom. - Speaking of which, we could maybe come up with a way to resolve things with Octavius (as I think the prison scene at the end hinted that there was more to expect from him), maybe have him escape and capture Harry, turning him into some mechanical 'Hob-goblin' as his idea of improving the human body would be to remove the human elements of the body (much like what he aimed to do with the arms).
So as far as we can see, this might happen, Doc Connors was in the post-credit scene and Peter told miles he might become a teacher just like in this pre-write and I love that and I want this to happen so badly
I'm almost 99% sure someone has said this already but damn did this age like fine wine holy- Can't wait for the prewrite of Marvel's Spider-Man 3 where he predicts Carnage and it actually turns out to be true
The story’s okay, but I feel like you wouldn’t just be able to switch between Miles and Peter in the middle of a fight or only have symbiote suits. I think they might have three characters that will load based on the story circumstances and who each have their own suits. Miles, Peter, and Peter with the symbiote. Miles will have the least suits and the symbiote will have mostly black versions of normal Peter suits.
I feel like instead of venom forcing Osborn, it should be Spider-Man is confronted by Norman, and he refuses to give him the symbiote due to him being overcome. Norman then uses the suit and serum, driving him mad. When he takes men to retrieve the symbiote, Peter nearly kills him. Realizing what the symbiote is doing to him, Peter gets rid of it. We could then use your idea from there, or it could pair with Brock, giving us goblin vs venom, venom vs Spider-Man, and Spider-Man vs goblin
Maybe so you don't have to introduce Eddie Brock in the next game so he can become Venom, you can introduce him in this game as like a rival reporter for MJ at the Daily Bugle. Perhaps when MJ finds out about him, she tells Peter and we find out they were childhood friends. Ehen they meet, Eddie tells Peter that he has cancer and can't afford the treatment. That's why he's trying so hard to make it as a reporter. Then when Connors becomes the Lizard, The Daily Bugle finds out and puts a reward out on pictures of the Lizard/the Lizard's secret identity. Then in the battle, the Lizard is defeated and reverts back to Connors. Eddie sees this and Peter, as Spider-Man, has to make the hard choice of destroying Eddie's camera to protect Connor's secret even though it risks Eddie's life. This sets up a motivation for Eddie hating Spider-Man and perhaps makes the transition into Eddie Venom smoother. Just an idea 😉
I think it would be better if we could incorporate this lizard thing as a side mission, the first half should be dedicated to Venom in my opinion, having Peter use the symbiote throughout the first quarter of the game, taking on small time villains as he investigates this new outfit, eventually getting rid of it and in the second quarter he bonds with Harry, creating Venom. This way, the first half of the game would culminate in a big boss fight that would leave Harry hospitalized but in stable condition. Now in the second half, Norman, being incredibly angry at Spider-Man and feeling useless for not being the one to come up with a way to treat Harry, resumes the Devil’s Breath experiment and comes up with a new strand. Feeling himself to be superior to Otto and Connors, and also sure of himself, Norman tests the serum on his own body, creating the Goblin. Okay so first he goes to the hospital, saying that he has the cure for Harry but obviously the head doctor won’t allow this so he returns for the head doctor as the Goblin, which is what puts him in Peter’s radar. The two duke it out and Peter barely survives the fight, Miles says the two should team up to take him down but Peter tells him to stay away, the Goblin is too dangerous. Norman due to his insanity decides to take down all his enemies starting with the spider, so he contacts Yuri and tells him his story and how the doctors and Spider-Man won’t let him cure his own son, knowing how the former Sargent hated injustice. So it’s Spider-Man vs the Wraith now, the animosity wouldn’t last long thought as Yuri would come to realize she is on the wrong side and team up with Spider-Man to take the Goblin down. However, this would nearly cost her life as she would be defeated and hospitalized in a critical condition. Peter now had his two best friends put in a hospital bed and is the one responsible for it, and he also knows Miles will try to take down the Goblin because he wants to help. Backed into a corner, Peter breaks into the compound where the symbiote is being restrained and allows his ex to join with him once again to take down Norman. In his own mind, Peter fights the symbiote in a boss fight and makes it see all his pain and loss, that Peter understands how it feels (I really like the idea of the symbiote being originally good but corrupted) for being inside Harry for so long. The scene is cut before we find out if the symbiote forgives Peter and now we play as Miles, fighting the Goblin in a boss fight which there is no way we can win. As the Goblin prepares to deal the final blow, a black web covers his face, Miles looks up to see Peter in a black suit but different than his old one, it’s more heroic, Spider-Man and the symbiote as one, not Venom and not evil. The Goblin and the Spider begin to fight in the city’s rooftops, once you beat him in the air the hovering device gets damaged and the two combatants fall in Brooklyn Bridge where the final battle takes place. Osborn is defeated by the player but he isn’t about to give up, yet Peter pleas to Norman to stop this and come back for Harry’s sake, making him realize who the spider really is. Feeling like he can’t live knowing he has been bested by a child who was Otto’s pupil, the Goblin activates his bombs and charges into Peter, who dodges the attack, making Norman fall into the river and apparently explode. As Peter begins to lament himself, the black in his suit slowly fades back into the classic red and blue, as the symbiote reminds Peter through a simple action that he is still that true hero, and that the world, and his friends still need him. As for DLC, maybe Peter can use part of the symbiote to help cure Harry, but once it does it’s job, instead of coming back to Peter it fuses with Eddie, causing Anti-Venom. Obviously in order for that to work we would need to introduce the character in the main story first but it is still a fun idea I thought about
Including Yuri as The Wraith would work very well as a sub plot running alongside this. Sure you could have a boss fight or two, but as a violent and lethal vigilante, she'd act as a dark reflection to Peter. What he could become should he give into the symbiote. Narratively, she'd ironically in a way be taking the place of Silver Sable. Someone whose working to solve the same problems the heroes are but is going about it the wrong way. Perhaps seeing Peter, someone who was once so heroic and good, slowly become darker and more aggressive gets Yuri to look inside herself and maybe rethink what she's doing. Then if the player vs player fight is maybe a bit too ambitious to implement, you could have Wraith team up with Miles and temporally become the other player character in order to stop Peter making the same mistakes she did. And hey, if you make her playable for that one bit, you could then maybe give her her own DLC story with open world or something. Wraith typically uses straps that are similar to Spider-Man's webs so it wouldn't be too much work to implement. As for how Yuri gets the Wraith suit? Err... Maybe have her steal super villain tech from lockup or add The Tinkerer in there somewhere? Could work.
I would put Eddie Brock in as like a background character and then have like a post credit scene where the symbiote escapes and attaches to him, from the perspective of the symbiote, like a horror movie or something
Retrospect Comment: I love the idea, Troy. and the Trailer is essentially confirmed the Venom and Lizard part. But I'd still change the story just to be Kraven and Lizard. A race against time. And a battle of Interest with Connors as The overarching thread. I'd also personally take out Gwen and giving her Spot as The one who Dies to Rio Morales, making Miles' Turn to wanting to kill Connors based around the Death of Rio at her Campaign. Connors transforms and Kills her at her speech in the midst of his rampage. The symbiote needs a break and I'd save only the Goblin for the 3rd game.
I think your idea is great and hope insomniac does something similar to this it would actually be perfect character development for both miles starting out as spiderman and seeing the stuff Peter has to go through while Peter also has to deal with his own issues of being a new mentor for miles while also dealing with his own mentor and friends turning into villains leaving him no Choice but to hurt them I also thought the idea of every suit having a symbiote suit change to it is awesome btw would love to see the new far from home suit as a symbiote but back to what I was saying I think insomniac needs to pick back up on yuri's story and what she has been doing ever since she stopped working with spiderman in the dlc it would push Peter even more to try to save a friend/mentor/partner all the while having the symbiote making him more violent causing him to make bad choices and I really think we should pick back up on Martin Lee seeing as though we never really saw what happened to him after the boss fight maybe miles could have a boss fight with Lee to get revenge for his dad causing Peter to intervene telling miles revenge isn't the answer and miles gets upset at Peter and this causes a disconnection for a while until the final fight between venom and norman/green goblin and dlc could be idk throw in villains we haven't seen yet like hydro man or the elementals and maybe gag villains like the swarm or beetle

I like the idea of Peter going back to ESU to work. They even tease this when you find the backpack with his old ESU badge. Dr. Connors would be a nice character to introduce there. In another backpack item, it shows that Miles Warren (Jackal) graded, Peter’s thesis so maybe he could be introduced?

A guess at the potential side-quests. Rogues Gallery. Here's some ideas for Wraith (Yuri) and probably some kinda neat stuff. Giving Spider-Man the Arkham City sidequest treatment. But you can categorise the villains into Peter Missions and Miles Missions and likely there will be Peter and Miles exclusive villains. For "Wraith" you basically get a PG version of the Hush sidequest. Following Wraith's murders as Peter as he attempts to reach out to Yuri and try to help her and stop her from killing more criminals. Likely it'll be Peter-Exclusive. Having to fight and track down Wraith as Peter. Trying his best to redeem his friend. Only to reveal that, she can never go back. Peter with a heavy heart is able to defeat Wraith and does it by the book. Likely he might have some symbiote dialogue if he's got the suit by that time. Which has Peter critique and talk down to Yuri and saying some mean stuff. For a Miles-Exclusive Mission, he could be going after a new villain called the Prowler. And reminiscing about the good times with his Dad and mentions his uncle Aaron Davis. Who he's cool with. He likes him, Aaron's a chill and cool guy and treats his nephew good. Especially since he knows his brother's son is going through some stuff even after he's come to terms with his Dad's death, he wants to be there for Miles and his mother. But, he would slowly be revealed to be the Prowler. Miles' own Otto Octavius moment. He would also sadly put his uncle to jail. But, Aaron doesn't know Miles is Spider-Man and Miles would feel a bit guilty. And some other sidequests which aren't as climatic and cool as what I described before. Like Miles and Peter helping out and having cool short adventures and catch up and see what Tombstone is doing. Basically allow for more creativity and let Spider-Man's world in these games feel quite organic.
The sequel really needs to work on how to flash out Miles' character. Into The Spiderverse was pretty much the only occasion where Miles felt truly unique as a character, with his own quirks and stuff. Having him dealing with Gwen Stacy's death feels a bit cheep imo, especially when everyone will just be waiting for her to die. Maybe have him dealing with own tragedy, explore some of the stuff with his uncle or something... I really enjoyed this video btw, can we expect more Prewrites in the future?

Exactly, the reason Harry in the Amazing Spider-Man 2 was a fail was because they just dropped him in the story for the sake of it with no build up whatsoever, it's like they expect us to believe they were friends for years even though there was no hint of him in the first movie.

Maybe Peter picks up a life lesson in the flashback that he bestows upon Miles by the end of the game
Good way to segway into Peters first ever fight with the Lizard. Once the boss fight ends the game could all of the sudden cut to the present and we get to play a little mission as Miles. It sets up everything

It was already mentioned how Peter fought Dr. Conners as the Lizard. He managed to develop a cure, but it didn’t last very long. You find this out by discovering a vial of lizard blood in a backpack. Great video btw! I’m also super excited for whatever happens next!

The only idea I didn’t like was Harry automatically becoming Venom, I think it would be much more impactful and cool to have Harry be eventually fully healed by the symbiote, come back happy and believing everything is normal maybe even having some superhuman-like abilities perhaps enhanced speed and strength, then slowly transforming into Venom kind of like the Fly movie
Actually I want to see a symbiote army with all crazy versions of it like toxin hybrid scream etc except carnage because I want carnage to be saved for future games. More over green goblin should also not be introduced. More playable characters like miles venom spidermam agent venom. Yes I want to introduce agent venom as a supporting character and a fanmade character named agent carnage. The version of the lizard could be like the giant kraken in clash of the titans. I wanted two more bosses, jackal and morbious. I want to make sand man like cronos in god of war 3. And a far from home version of hydroman . He will appear when peter will be on a ship in oceans and a stormy climate with foggs and rains. Defeating lizard can be during snow fall and we will see green goblin in the post credit scene.

Enraged, Peter scolds Miles and tells him to not get in his way. The Symbiote has changed him so much that he blames Otto for May's death and goes to the Raft to kill him. To save Otto, Miles goes to confront him. Then we have that boss fight and the story continues.

I honestly don’t think we’ll see Green Goblin in this just Lizard Kraven and Venom. I think they’ll save him as the villain of the 3rd game to be the ultimate big bad of the Insomniac games. The way I see this game going is Harry dying as a result of Miles or Peters actions and that’s Normans breaking point where he starts developing the goblin formula to get revenge against the spider-men.

There’s so much potential for the dynamic between Miles and Peter in the sequel. My face had a beaming smile every cutscene that played with Miles developing until eventually becoming Spider-Man. I was so happy.

maybe make the "Final fight" he's talking about in the prewrite. not the final one. but instead add 4 more boss fights. every boss fight we see a cutscene of eddie. basically in the "final fight" where they capture the symbiote. instead it escapes and latches on to eddie. every boss fight we see venom starting to form.

This was a really good video and I do indeed like the story. Although everything with Miles and Gwen was pretty all over the place. If you're going to have Gwen in the story just make her a real character, because we all know that her character is famous for dying, therefore we don't get attached. Then when Miles becomes overcome with anger and almost kills Norman? I mean come on that's a little out of character to not just for comic Miles, but for the one, Insomniac built up in the game too. It's really good overall, but the little things like character interactions as well as an all-around lack of disinterested towards the end is what is making this from good to great. Hopefully, this was good constructive criticism, as for ideas to change it of my own, I think that we should just take out everything with Gwen, maybe replace her with Carly Cooper or something then just have Venom fully kill Harry instead of making the deal with Norman. After that have Norman hire Kraven or something, try to kill Venom doesn't work, Venom dodges the bullet and kills Carly instead. I love your videos man, the MCU doesn't understand Spider-Man video is one of my favorites, please collab with HiTop Films on his inevitable video on Spider-Man 3, thanks.

@@dante_farmitoFarmito that's like saying Ben Affleck's Batman isn't out of character for Batman, just read All-Star Batman and Robin by Frank Miller. Plus, Marvel have been doing Miles wrong since after Bendis's original run.
I would treat Miles more like a Robin and Nightwing in Arkham Knight, where you play as Peter for the whole story but at some parts you get help from Miles.
It is more likely we will play as miles for certain missions and Peter for the rest since that’s how it worked in the last game

Would have both playable not always together though but instead flowing the story naturally.
U could have peter losing Gwen in a flashback where they say that’s where the green goblin was last seen.
And they could say with that he never found out who the Goblin was.
Would be cool to have flashbacks happen along the same time as the main story paralleling Peter’s youth and Miles’s.
Here's my take
starts off well, Peter training miles, everything going pretty smooth.
However, Norman is desperately attempting to save Harry from his disease, and knows something needs to bond with the symbiote. He suspects Spider-Man could bond with it to make the symbiote adsorb his radioactive strength and cure Harry. Norman Osborn decides to recruit Dr. Connors, and as they are working Dr Connors notices that Norman is starting to develop early signs of the disease. He edits his Lizard DNA to try to cure Norman, but accidentally turns him into The Goblin. Connors still wants to cure Harry, so he tries to infect Spider-Man with the symbiote, but hasn't succeeded yet. Peter and Miles are fighting Goblin when Goblin kills Gwen Stacy. Miles is PISSED and attempts to murder Goblin, but peter goes to stop him. The two face off in a similar battle to what you said but peter wins. While they were fighting, the symbiote makes it's way into Mile's backpack. The Goblin escapes, and the two spider-men head to Peters, miles crashing on Peter's couch. Through the night the Symbiote attaches itself to Peter and he gets the symbiote suit. Goblin decides to apologize to Otto to offer him revenge, so him, Otto and the rest of the Sinister Six all escape The Raft, and cause chaos throughout the city. As Peter and Miles are both fighting them they narrow them down to Otto and Norman, and they fight them, Peter nearly kills Otto but miles stops him. Otto and Goblin escape, and while Miles is asleep Peter escapes to the Clock/Bell tower where Gwen Stacy was killed and the symbiote found him, and gets the symbiote off of him using the Bell's noise. The Symbiote returns to Harry and turns him into Venom. Venom joins Otto and Goblin, but Otto develops a cure for his body's weakness and he slowly becomes more sane. Soon, the Goblin and Venom attack times square. Regular Peter and Miles arrive to try to put a stop to it. Realizing Venom joined them, they conclude it's a 2v3 and that they'd likely die fighting them. They start fighting and Venom + Gobby are too strong and Peter and Miles are both nearly killed. Just in the nick of time however, Otto comes and starts fighting venom and goblin, and it's now one giant final battle. Venom is killed along with Harry, and The Goblin, attempting to destroy everyone at time square, triggers a Last Ditch Effort bomb and ends up killing himself. Otto is forgiven, joins the two heroes and the game ends.
(if this is confusing at all then sorry i'm just some fanboy not a writer of any sorts)

I'm guessing Martin Li isn't going to be in the next game, maybe Insomniac can use the excuse of "I'm against Osborn, not Spider-Man." Or maybe if Li knows Osborn is the Green Goblin during the Raft escape, he tries to kill Osborn, but fails and either dies or is saved by Spider-Man.

I like the split between Peter and Miles' potential movesets. In the grand tradition of making hot take Arkham comparisons, I would most certainly play up Miles as one more adept at stealth and agility, what with his camouflage and venom sting powers, and it's up to the player to go on missions either as a tactician or as a brawler.

Heres how i would rewrite it.
Starts with eddie in an investigation on the mayor for getting a hint by MJ on there as they have became partners in investigation. Eddie ends up in the room with harry and the symbiote breaks the glass and eddie tries to run but it goes to lock down and we see it go straight to black.
Skips to peter and Miles you pick who you want to play as but get a taste of both of them and their abilities in the first mission. Which is a fight against prowler.
End of fight and prowler escapes but not without leaving fisks records at the scene. MJ phones peter saying that her friend Eddie has gone missing after taking the harry case. So he goes to look
Skips to norman talking in his office to an unknown man he is telling him that he needs to get the symbiote back as its the only way to keep harry alive. Then we hear a “kraven I’m trusting you” end of call.
Its a game of spideman looking for eddie whilst kraven is too.

Eddie is on the floor with files around him and spiderman is missing. Miles finds him and brings him and the files to MJ
And they try to get answers, and thats when we get info on whats going on bla bla bla boring stuff.
Kraven thinking venom is on someone else is hunting spiderman and catches him however underestimated it as he didnt realise it was spiderman.
Boss fight bla bla bla, Kraven retreats saying he will be back,
Peter sees himself as powerful and goes to curt connor to get info and curt says he’s tested this before with norman he should get rid of it as its manipulating neuros in the brain making you more fearless yet more dangerous, peter doesn’t listen and then norman goes insane because he wants to do anything to make sure his son stays alive as he doesn’t want to be alone so he injections himself with a a virus turning him into the goblin. And another boss battle
Peter almost kills him, miles stops

Norman takes it back to harry after the dna manipulation of peter and it changes harrys body. Norman tries to help but him getting in contact with venom adds his dna into the mix turning harry into hobgoblin.
Venom crawls away making his way back to eddie somehow.

Hob goblin dies. Miles latches onto peter feeling he is to blame. And skips to another funeral scene. In normans will harrys gets oscorp. Im harrys will MJ and Peter get oscorp. Oscorp is now owned by MJ. MJ goes to the room peter got bit by a spider and she becomes spiderwoman.

Her costume in the comics is already white and black. It would subvert a tired trope and empower Gwen... It would be a unique way of bringing spider Gwen into this univerce.

It's just me bro but I think I would change Mile's girlfriend to Hailey Cooper from the Miles spin off game. The upsides are they already have touched on this relationship and throughout a second game they could expand it even more.
What about Yuri? She’ll most likely become the wraith and hopefully she’ll be part of the main story.
I think your theory is really close to what I’ve been thinking too but, I think they’ll save Goblin for three and give us Eddie as Venom. Although I also think Harry will die, but the Goblin formula will be the new intended cure for Harry etc etc Now that we have the new trailer I would also say that we might get Venom gameplay at the end of two and all throughout three.
I hope they make a DLC about "Carnage" , so that they can introduce him and his story to the game's storyline...
I have the idea of Gwen getting a character arc similar to Miles had in Game 1. She gets bitten by a GMed spider but unlike Miles doesn't reveal it to anyone and starts Spider-Womaning it up on her own. She doesn't have gadgets yet so she'd be more like a parkour free runner with a guerilla approach to fighting. She dons a black and white hoodie and wears purple rimmed sunglasses and a pink bandana around her lower face to obscure her identity. She'll bump into Peter and/or Miles one or twice before finally teaming up before the finale.

Great ideas (especially giving each suit their own black variant)! Now here are some of my own (feel free to discuss):
- MJ could possibly snag a bit of symbiote for herself, considering how much she touted about wanting to help Peter and the whole 'I'm not made of glass' comments.
- The return of Mr Negative, most notably Martin Li's positive side (as I thought that was lacking in service of Dr Octavius' development), which could lead to the creation of Anti-Venom.
- Speaking of which, we could maybe come up with a way to resolve things with Octavius (as I think the prison scene at the end hinted that there was more to expect from him), maybe have him escape and capture Harry, turning him into some mechanical 'Hob-goblin' as his idea of improving the human body would be to remove the human elements of the body (much like what he aimed to do with the arms).
Have the Gwen/Miles relationship in Spider-Man 2 and it sets up Spider-Gwen from an alternate universe in DLC/Spider-Man 3
So as far as we can see, this might happen, Doc Connors was in the post-credit scene and Peter told miles he might become a teacher just like in this pre-write and I love that and I want this to happen so badly

The story’s okay, but I feel like you wouldn’t just be able to switch between Miles and Peter in the middle of a fight or only have symbiote suits. I think they might have three characters that will load based on the story circumstances and who each have their own suits. Miles, Peter, and Peter with the symbiote. Miles will have the least suits and the symbiote will have mostly black versions of normal Peter suits.
Love the idea of Miles vs Black Suit Peter where you choose who you play as. A very Lego Star Wars Mustafar fight kind of vibe

I feel like instead of venom forcing Osborn, it should be Spider-Man is confronted by Norman, and he refuses to give him the symbiote due to him being overcome. Norman then uses the suit and serum, driving him mad. When he takes men to retrieve the symbiote, Peter nearly kills him. Realizing what the symbiote is doing to him, Peter gets rid of it. We could then use your idea from there, or it could pair with Brock, giving us goblin vs venom, venom vs Spider-Man, and Spider-Man vs goblin
I'm pretty sure they will get morbius in the 2nd game because Dr Morgan Michael is in the game and that's the guy that becomes morbius
Maybe so you don't have to introduce Eddie Brock in the next game so he can become Venom, you can introduce him in this game as like a rival reporter for MJ at the Daily Bugle. Perhaps when MJ finds out about him, she tells Peter and we find out they were childhood friends. Ehen they meet, Eddie tells Peter that he has cancer and can't afford the treatment. That's why he's trying so hard to make it as a reporter. Then when Connors becomes the Lizard, The Daily Bugle finds out and puts a reward out on pictures of the Lizard/the Lizard's secret identity. Then in the battle, the Lizard is defeated and reverts back to Connors. Eddie sees this and Peter, as Spider-Man, has to make the hard choice of destroying Eddie's camera to protect Connor's secret even though it risks Eddie's life. This sets up a motivation for Eddie hating Spider-Man and perhaps makes the transition into Eddie Venom smoother. Just an idea 😉
I’ve got an idea for a title:
“Marvel’s Spider-Men”
I think it would be better if we could incorporate this lizard thing as a side mission, the first half should be dedicated to Venom in my opinion, having Peter use the symbiote throughout the first quarter of the game, taking on small time villains as he investigates this new outfit, eventually getting rid of it and in the second quarter he bonds with Harry, creating Venom. This way, the first half of the game would culminate in a big boss fight that would leave Harry hospitalized but in stable condition.
Now in the second half, Norman, being incredibly angry at Spider-Man and feeling useless for not being the one to come up with a way to treat Harry, resumes the Devil’s Breath experiment and comes up with a new strand. Feeling himself to be superior to Otto and Connors, and also sure of himself, Norman tests the serum on his own body, creating the Goblin. Okay so first he goes to the hospital, saying that he has the cure for Harry but obviously the head doctor won’t allow this so he returns for the head doctor as the Goblin, which is what puts him in Peter’s radar. The two duke it out and Peter barely survives the fight, Miles says the two should team up to take him down but Peter tells him to stay away, the Goblin is too dangerous. Norman due to his insanity decides to take down all his enemies starting with the spider, so he contacts Yuri and tells him his story and how the doctors and Spider-Man won’t let him cure his own son, knowing how the former Sargent hated injustice. So it’s Spider-Man vs the Wraith now, the animosity wouldn’t last long thought as Yuri would come to realize she is on the wrong side and team up with Spider-Man to take the Goblin down. However, this would nearly cost her life as she would be defeated and hospitalized in a critical condition. Peter now had his two best friends put in a hospital bed and is the one responsible for it, and he also knows Miles will try to take down the Goblin because he wants to help. Backed into a corner, Peter breaks into the compound where the symbiote is being restrained and allows his ex to join with him once again to take down Norman. In his own mind, Peter fights the symbiote in a boss fight and makes it see all his pain and loss, that Peter understands how it feels (I really like the idea of the symbiote being originally good but corrupted) for being inside Harry for so long. The scene is cut before we find out if the symbiote forgives Peter and now we play as Miles, fighting the Goblin in a boss fight which there is no way we can win. As the Goblin prepares to deal the final blow, a black web covers his face, Miles looks up to see Peter in a black suit but different than his old one, it’s more heroic, Spider-Man and the symbiote as one, not Venom and not evil. The Goblin and the Spider begin to fight in the city’s rooftops, once you beat him in the air the hovering device gets damaged and the two combatants fall in Brooklyn Bridge where the final battle takes place. Osborn is defeated by the player but he isn’t about to give up, yet Peter pleas to Norman to stop this and come back for Harry’s sake, making him realize who the spider really is. Feeling like he can’t live knowing he has been bested by a child who was Otto’s pupil, the Goblin activates his bombs and charges into Peter, who dodges the attack, making Norman fall into the river and apparently explode. As Peter begins to lament himself, the black in his suit slowly fades back into the classic red and blue, as the symbiote reminds Peter through a simple action that he is still that true hero, and that the world, and his friends still need him.
As for DLC, maybe Peter can use part of the symbiote to help cure Harry, but once it does it’s job, instead of coming back to Peter it fuses with Eddie, causing Anti-Venom. Obviously in order for that to work we would need to introduce the character in the main story first but it is still a fun idea I thought about

Including Yuri as The Wraith would work very well as a sub plot running alongside this. Sure you could have a boss fight or two, but as a violent and lethal vigilante, she'd act as a dark reflection to Peter. What he could become should he give into the symbiote. Narratively, she'd ironically in a way be taking the place of Silver Sable. Someone whose working to solve the same problems the heroes are but is going about it the wrong way. Perhaps seeing Peter, someone who was once so heroic and good, slowly become darker and more aggressive gets Yuri to look inside herself and maybe rethink what she's doing. Then if the player vs player fight is maybe a bit too ambitious to implement, you could have Wraith team up with Miles and temporally become the other player character in order to stop Peter making the same mistakes she did. And hey, if you make her playable for that one bit, you could then maybe give her her own DLC story with open world or something. Wraith typically uses straps that are similar to Spider-Man's webs so it wouldn't be too much work to implement.
As for how Yuri gets the Wraith suit? Err... Maybe have her steal super villain tech from lockup or add The Tinkerer in there somewhere? Could work.

I love the idea, Troy. and the Trailer is essentially confirmed the Venom and Lizard part. But I'd still change the story just to be Kraven and Lizard. A race against time. And a battle of Interest with Connors as The overarching thread. I'd also personally take out Gwen and giving her Spot as The one who Dies to Rio Morales, making Miles' Turn to wanting to kill Connors based around the Death of Rio at her Campaign. Connors transforms and Kills her at her speech in the midst of his rampage. The symbiote needs a break and I'd save only the Goblin for the 3rd game.

I think your idea is great and hope insomniac does something similar to this it would actually be perfect character development for both miles starting out as spiderman and seeing the stuff Peter has to go through while Peter also has to deal with his own issues of being a new mentor for miles while also dealing with his own mentor and friends turning into villains leaving him no Choice but to hurt them I also thought the idea of every suit having a symbiote suit change to it is awesome btw would love to see the new far from home suit as a symbiote but back to what I was saying I think insomniac needs to pick back up on yuri's story and what she has been doing ever since she stopped working with spiderman in the dlc it would push Peter even more to try to save a friend/mentor/partner all the while having the symbiote making him more violent causing him to make bad choices and I really think we should pick back up on Martin Lee seeing as though we never really saw what happened to him after the boss fight maybe miles could have a boss fight with Lee to get revenge for his dad causing Peter to intervene telling miles revenge isn't the answer and miles gets upset at Peter and this causes a disconnection for a while until the final fight between venom and norman/green goblin and dlc could be idk throw in villains we haven't seen yet like hydro man or the elementals and maybe gag villains like the swarm or beetle

I like the idea of Peter going back to ESU to work. They even tease this when you find the backpack with his old ESU badge. Dr. Connors would be a nice character to introduce there. In another backpack item, it shows that Miles Warren (Jackal) graded, Peter’s thesis so maybe he could be introduced?

A guess at the potential side-quests. Rogues Gallery.
Here's some ideas for Wraith (Yuri) and probably some kinda neat stuff. Giving Spider-Man the Arkham City sidequest treatment. But you can categorise the villains into Peter Missions and Miles Missions and likely there will be Peter and Miles exclusive villains.
For "Wraith" you basically get a PG version of the Hush sidequest. Following Wraith's murders as Peter as he attempts to reach out to Yuri and try to help her and stop her from killing more criminals. Likely it'll be Peter-Exclusive. Having to fight and track down Wraith as Peter. Trying his best to redeem his friend. Only to reveal that, she can never go back. Peter with a heavy heart is able to defeat Wraith and does it by the book. Likely he might have some symbiote dialogue if he's got the suit by that time. Which has Peter critique and talk down to Yuri and saying some mean stuff.
For a Miles-Exclusive Mission, he could be going after a new villain called the Prowler. And reminiscing about the good times with his Dad and mentions his uncle Aaron Davis. Who he's cool with. He likes him, Aaron's a chill and cool guy and treats his nephew good. Especially since he knows his brother's son is going through some stuff even after he's come to terms with his Dad's death, he wants to be there for Miles and his mother. But, he would slowly be revealed to be the Prowler. Miles' own Otto Octavius moment. He would also sadly put his uncle to jail. But, Aaron doesn't know Miles is Spider-Man and Miles would feel a bit guilty.
And some other sidequests which aren't as climatic and cool as what I described before. Like Miles and Peter helping out and having cool short adventures and catch up and see what Tombstone is doing. Basically allow for more creativity and let Spider-Man's world in these games feel quite organic.

The sequel really needs to work on how to flash out Miles' character. Into The Spiderverse was pretty much the only occasion where Miles felt truly unique as a character, with his own quirks and stuff. Having him dealing with Gwen Stacy's death feels a bit cheep imo, especially when everyone will just be waiting for her to die. Maybe have him dealing with own tragedy, explore some of the stuff with his uncle or something...
