this has to be one of the most ludicrous statements I’ve ever heard. Saying China can’t invade Taiwan is like saying a glass of water can put a wild fire. Taiwan’s military is deeply flawed in almost every aspect. Their conscription period is too short to build a truly capable force, their military strategies are outdated, their weapons procurement is inefficient, and now they’ve actively weakened their own economic leverage with moves like TSMC shifting production abroad. And when people bring up the U.S. and its allies getting involved, let’s be real-they won’t. I’m a British soldier, and I can tell you firsthand that we weren’t even willing to fight Russia over Ukraine, despite Europe being far more strategically important to us than the Indo-Pacific. So why on earth would we fight a much stronger China over Taiwan-a place that holds even less strategic value for us? China is far more powerful than Russia, and if we wouldn’t fight a weaker adversary in a critical region, we’re certainly not going to take on a stronger one in a less important theater. Most US and western soldiers don't even know where taiwan is, why would we fight over an island where we have no connection to, dont know anyone and of no strategic importance, at least anymore. As for the so-called "2027 timeline," people keep repeating this as if China declared they would invade by then. They didn’t. The actual statement was that Xi Jinping ordered the PLA to ensure they have the capabilities to invade by 2027. And let’s be honest-they already do. Taiwan isn’t stopping an invasion, and it’s delusional to think otherwise. The real question isn’t if China can invade-it’s when and how.
