@@JohnnyManThan I am planning on recording at least a few of the songs that are going to be performed, but I can't decide whether I should record the entire concert or just a few of the songs that will be performed. Do you think I should do the entire concert or just at least 10 or 20 of the songs that will be performed?
@@greatcitysportaction2289 It really depends on whether or not you feel like holding your phone up for most of the show lol. I hold my phone right below my face so I can watch the show with my own eyes rather than through a screen
I knew only four of the original Beach Boys are left, but did not know that only one of them Mike Love - the lead singer - still tours. I learned that later added member Bruce Johnston also performs here. Otherwise this is not the original Beach Boys. It sounds similar because Mike Love sang many of the Brian Wilson penned songs back in the day, but pretty much all the other instruments are played by touring band under the Beach Boys name. I am amazed he sounds that good at 81. Very few singer at that age can pull this off. The only other modern singer who is 10 years younger who is doing this is Mick Jagger (which is also impressive, since they still have three of their five band members touring).
I respect your opinion, but even if it’s not the original beach boys (since Carl and Dennis passed away), you gotta give the band credit for how talented they all are and for doing what The Beach Boys do best, keeping the summer alive if you will. Same goes for Brian and Al’s band’s respectively. Also I’m not sure what you meant but Mick Jagger is only a couple years younger than Mike; he’s 80 and Mikes 82
@@JohnnyManThan I do give them credit. I did say they do sound like the original band (for the most part). Just I had not followed them in years and did not realize that a couple of them were still touring. You right, Jagger is older than I said.
After listening back to it several times, if you listen closely around 52:50 you’ll hear Carl singing “Everyone, everyone”. Unbelievable!!
Yes I noticed that they started doing this back around 2019 or so. A nice touch!
I was in the orchestra for this! It was a fun show to play.
So cool!! It was fun for everyone I’m sure!
You struck gold my friend. Not only did you get a fantastic setlist, but they are in top form. Sounding very good.
I 100% agree with that!
This is awesome, thank you for posting this. I am actually going to go see them next Friday.
You’re in for a really good show! Have fun!!
@@JohnnyManThan Thank you so much

@@JohnnyManThan Oh ok no problem
Sounding very good.
Missing John Cowsill…he was the BEST
He is definitely missed!!!
Listened to the Drum Channel Podcast S2 E55..John Cowsill was interviewed in April…he was shocked..but no ill feelings..give it a listen
Where s John Cowsill??...so talented!!
I don’t remember when exactly but he left the band some time last year, same with Scott Totten
Interesting, they've changed their onstage order. I wonder what thinking goes into that?
Probably just to keep things fresh. I noticed that too!
@@NateRuvin414that’s exactly right. Wedemeyer told me that every now and then mike likes to switch up the placement to keep it fresh
It’s also a different layout in back here because of the orchestra

@@Buc_Stops_Here You’re right, plus Brian unofficially retired after last summer’s tour, and Al’s still doing his own thing
Do you have Help Me, Rhonda and Darlin?
Unfortunately I didn’t get those two, I’m surprised I haven’t already
