The Fab Four- Live in Ocala, Fl (09/07/2024)

Hey guys! So last night I was able to see the Fab Four Beatles tribute at the Circle Square Cultural Center over in Ocala, Fl, and similar to last time, they put on an amazing show. Last time I saw them was at the Tampa theater last November, and as fun as it was to hear a whole Beatles album (Rubber Soul) performed live, the driving and traffic was chaotic. So when they announced that they’d b...

The Oak Ridge Boys- Live in The Villages, Fl (01/23/2023)

Hey guys! I know I already posted these videos separately, but I mainly wanted to post them as a whole video so I could actually talk about this concert and what all I took away from it (plus it gave me an excuse to use one of the pictures I took as a video cover haha). So going back in time a little bit, I first got into the Oak Ridge Boys back in 2018 when I decided out of the blue to check o...

Hey guys. So after seeing the Oak Ridge Boys for the first time back in January of last year at the Villages, I finally had the opportunity to see them again for the second (but sadly last) time as part of their “American Made” Farewell Tour. So the biggest (and only) disappointment about this concert was that Duane Allen was unable to be there due to family business. With that being said, I’d ...

Hey guys. So it’s not often that you get to see a living legend in country music, or really any music for that matter. Although Willie’s music was a part of what I grew up listening to, the idea of actually going to see him in concert never once came to my mind (until just recently). I say this about every concert I go to but it was an incredible experience that I know I’ll never forget. Hope y...

Hey guys!!! First concert of the new year, and it was a great one (shocking isn’t it)! This show was really fun, going into it, I knew it was going to be good simply because of the amount of dedication both Shawn Barker (playing the man himself) and the band gave to giving us an incredible show. This show did catch me off guard though; for starters, they didn’t open with Folsom Prison Blues lik...

Did you not get dream on sadly
@@EasternMOEASAndIceCreamTrucks Not for this one, unfortunately Richard wasn’t in good enough health at the time to even sing that song in particular. Luckily he got better and he did sing it on another video I posted back in February
@@JohnnyManThan well believe it or not it's actually the fog that makes him sound bad I figured out a few months ago. Because there was won concert where there was no fog and he sounded like he was in his 30s again.
Excellent, what a legend he is!
@@MikeysTuneRoom Thank you!!! I definitely agree!!
I think Best Beat is really better, but they are good and they try really hard to look the part, great to see that Ed Sullivan is alive and well!
I’ll have to check out Best Beat at some point, also yeah it was great to see the guy playing Ed Sullivan, does a spot on impressive for sure!
Is there anyone alive in the audience? Lame response for sure - I’ve seen these guys maybe 5-6 times in Vegas, CT, and NC - they’ve had some personnel changes over the years - but remain the best tribute band 👍🏻💯
Yeah the audience consisted of mostly old people so you know how that goes haha. They were a little bit more lively around the second half of the show lol
They're good! I'll definitely see them if they come around here.
You won’t regret it!!!
Great review! I'm glad someone is talking about how many chords are in "Girls On The Beach," geeez, I'm afraid I've had to back down...
Thank you!! Yeah there’s too many chords to count haha!
The fact that I Get Around shot to #1 during the peak of Beatlemania was proof that The Beach Boys would be sticking around for many years to come.
Oh absolutely!!!
Just found your channel and subscribed!!!! A great presentation of a favorite album and band, The Beach Boys. Huge fan of the bands early mid 60’s material and some later material.
Thank you so much!!! Glad you enjoyed the video! I’m also a huge fan incase it wasn’t obvious haha!
Very sad news! Wonderful people!
You guys have still got it!! And the new singer is good too. Little different style but he's good! Love yall❤
I had listened to the oak ridge boys ever since I was a teenager my mom had bought me their tapes and the song that I love of there's the most is Elvira
That is so cool!! Bet those tapes were a lot of fun to listen to!
Thank you Joe Bonsall! RIP
Rip Joe💔
@@Oaksfan Terribly missed 💔
Excellent Johnny! Make a lot of these kind of videos!
Thank you so much Mikey!!! Always appreciated!!
Where s John Cowsill??...so talented!!
I don’t remember when exactly but he left the band some time last year, same with Scott Totten
They are so damn impressive!!! I get to see them in July for the first time and I'm just so looking forward, Yaayyyyyyyy. I've got good seats too!
Great to hear, I hope you have fun!!! I’ll be going to Ocala later in September to see them again so I’m looking forward to that also!
I wish you included their banter which made them more beatles like
Truthfully the only reason I didn’t was mainly because I didn’t want to focus too much on recording, sort of just enjoying it as is so to speak
I just appreciate the great footage and audio that we get to enjoy.
"Paul" must've been battling with a cold or something, he really struggled on Sgt. Pepper and the "The one and only Billy Shears" he was really pushing it out. He gutted it out, the show must go on! Also, sorry to nitpick such great performances, but the harmonies on With a Little Help From Me Friends was a wreck.
That’s a fair assessment, luckily they made up for it with a great setlist haha!
@@JohnnyManThan Yeah, I agree.
The oak ridge boys are my childhood favorite. I was there live this event. When they are done, they will be missed. To whom post this video, thank you.
You’re very welcome!! It was great seeing them again!
❤. Thank you
wheres the rest of the concert?
This is all the footage I have, sorry about that
@@JohnnyManThan it's good thanks for this i rly enjoyed it
I think it’s a shame that Joe wasn’t able to make it one more year. His energy on stage was amazing. For 49 years he shows his enthusiasm for what he loved to do. Unfortunately it appears his battery died a little too early. I wish Joe and his family all the best. And my respect goes out to Duane and his family for their loss.
Woody Wright did a great job filling in for Duane.
Yes he did! Very good singing on his end!
Where is gavin Pringle,
So I could be wrong, but I think the Fab Four has a whole entourage of musicians who sort of take turns doing shows. I’ve seen these guys and also the other guys including Gavin in pictures so I just think there’s two groups of the Fab Four
@@JohnnyManThan thanks Johnny man than that’s a relief to know that as long as Gavin is still doing what he loves doing that’s ok many thanks sweetie xxxx
Fantastic John and Paul
This is awesome ❤
It definitely was!! Fit for any Johnny Cash fan!
I saw them recently in Gainesville Georgia, at Bourban Brother's. Their show was fantastic. It was a sellout crowd. My husband and I took our children and spouse's, and two friends with us .People were singing along, lots standing ovations.GodBless Oak Ridge Boys following them since 1970s.Missed you so much Joe,take care of youself.Prayers for Duane, and family.Took my son to see Oak Ridge Boys to Lanierland in Cumming Ga.at age 3 in 1983,he stood in his chair and sang along. When they called children to stage ,he was first out of his seat.He has always followed them.God be with OakRidge Boys, bless and keep them safe, during their Final Tour, let them know how much you appreciate them!!!
So glad you got to see them a couple times! Those shows do sound fantastic!
I have been to many of their concerts, I have been ,so blessed to go.Thanks so much.
I got to see this show on February 18th in Van Wert Ohio, and it's an experience I will never forget. God bless.
Great to hear!!! So glad you enjoyed the show it really is phenomenal!
The “George” looks like a young Paul McCartney!
He does have a strange resemblance to Paul haha!
Not the same without Joe
I hate to say it because he’s very talented, but I just don’t think Ben blends very well with the other guys. Good singer, just not the best fit for the Oaks. They do better with a strong tenor singer like Joe or Willie Wynn
I respect your opinion, plus it ain’t easy replacing a tenor like Joe. Really unfortunate he had to retire even though it’s for the better
Can never replace the sound of a long time member but everything I've heard with Ben he's filled in about as well as anyone could on short notice. There was a time Steve Sanders replaced William Lee Golden and the songs they had recorded with him just didn't sound the same with Steve singing them. I doubt they will do this but it would be awesome if they passed the ORB brand onto a new generation of singers as the guys retire. Would be fun to hear these classic songs and sound continue on for years to come much like Joe Duane WL and Richard were not original members themselves. I get they are then longest running configuration of the group and recorded the hits that made the ORB what they are but would be unique to keep the 4 part sound going with a new set of guys.
@@99travmanI agree! It’d be great to have a new lineup of singers carry on the Oaks legacy for future generations to enjoy. Though it’d also be a matter of whether or not people would be willing to pay to see said group that wouldn’t consist of Joe, Duane, William, and Richard. Personally I’d totally pay haha
@@JohnnyManThan Hey, I'd audition to do an "Oak Ridge Girls" doing the boys' repertoire. I would audition for Bass. Can do Contralto Profundo. One can only Dream On.... ;)
As a candidate musician, he is the person I pay the most to for his presence on stage🖤
Doesn't seem like William Lee Golden could hear his in ear mix very well... pretty bad off key at the beginning and other places in the show. And also sounds like the band dropped a bar or two in the music at the end of Dream On leaving Richard Sterban no where to go... he still had one more lyric to do, and he tried to keep it together and did the best job he could have, considering the band had no idea how to end the song... or where they were in the end. I have always loved them so!
Truthfully, I felt kinda the same way when they finished Dream On, like “Oh ok that’s one way to end a song” haha
@@JohnnyManThanyeah... what ever you do... FOLLOW RICHARD! He's sang this song for about 45 years... I think he might no how it ends! Hahahaha! I do find it strange, and wonder how the band all made the mistake of the dropped lyric at the same time? Like the song was written that way and Richard Sterban made the mistake... because truly, the song doesn't end the way the band tried to end it... it looks like the bass player is the music director... so maybe he gave an instruction thru their in ears saying "ok, ... end it!... dream on"...And they just fell into "that gear" without thinking, "what about richard's final lyric?" Make sense to you??
They haven't really sounded good for a while. Age catching up.
Yeah, I’m not sure what the band did there. They left him hanging.
I’ve watched it over and over, and at the end of dream on the rest of the guys messed up, they didn’t do their part, which messed up Richard, and made him think they weren’t at the end yet. Right after they seem to light your way. The rest of the guys were supposed to sing the lyrics dream on easy times, then Richard does it thing goes real low
What happened to Ron Fairchild on keyboards?
Truthfully I don’t know. Tried looking up videos or anything online but there’s really no explanation that we know of
Thanks
They have a right to retire after all them yearz .an enjoy live
100% Agree!!! They’ve done so much for us fans over the years!
Woody did a fantastic job filling in for Dewayne "the Ace" Allen
Yes he did!! Takes a really good singing voice to fill in for a lead like Duane!
Thanks for posting this! This was one of my favorite gigs of the tour!
Thank you for commenting! You guys do such a good job with the show keep it up!
@@JohnnyManThan Thank you! Very glad you had a great time!
I read your thing about the oaks, which was very nice! Richard is doing a lot better Healthwise! His voice is a lot better too! He has his nights though, which may have been this night, but still was pretty good! Love them all so much!
Thanks for the comment! I feel the exact same way! Richard sounded great this time around!
@@JohnnyManThan ua-cam.com/video/-C2Kg6H8azo/v-deo.htmlsi=Nw-JbXMx2U2A9CSd is a great example when Richard was at his best, this was last Christmas.
@@BackupChannel12 I agree! Always wanted to go see one of their Christmas shows

They posted pictures from one of their more recent concerts on Instagram. Luckily Duane wasn’t away for too long!
What is the matter with Duane?
@@artross9836 So unfortunately now we know that Duane most likely wasn’t at this show because he was with his wife, who sadly passed away not too long ago on Easter morning
@@JohnnyManThan I just heard the news. I’ve known these guys since 1970. When Joe had his own group in buffalo. So sad. My goodness Nora Lee did such a great job at the Opry. Very sad
Not the same without joe
The oaks h ave been appearing here for a long time
Fantastic. I was born and grew up on a farm just 15 miles from Branson Missouri and knew several of the old country music stars. Debbie is great with the Luther Guitar sound. Thanks for posting this video.
Thanks for watching!!!

Yeah I’ll check them out!
Adam Hastings is a CLONE
Yeah I’m convinced haha!!
Just saw em in West Virginia they did a Great Job 🤘
I was in the orchestra for this! It was a fun show to play.
