The dubbing over of Dooms in game sounds pleases me irrationally. Right back to my childhood. I think the best mechanic to deal with this problem is in the Boarderlands franchise. you start the game with only 2 weapon slots, upgrading to a total of 4 over the course of the game. the weapons are all dynamically generated, with variable stats such as power, accuracy, reload time, ammo type and capacity, gun type, elemental effects, aesthetics etc. trying to decide what to keep and what to drop is a major part of gameplay, your kinda hosed if you get into closed quarters and you only have a sniper rifle and an RPG for example. plus, it has a great sense of humour. one of my favourites is an exceptionally overpowered SMG that screams and insults you constantly. very nice to have, but having the thing screaming at you gets old fast. Easily one of my favourites.

On a side note, I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure doomguy is quite a bit more jacked than the dude they brought in.
It feels so weird to watch Mythbusters out of order and jump from a show that was filmed on DV camcorders to a show with fancy motion graphics and stock footage of Halo: MCC and Evolve.
I've cut fruit like fruit ninja using the dullest wallhanger you can imagine, it's very easy, surprisingly so tbh.
Ive gotta say, jamies movements are not bad at all. Good moves around the corners too.
They should have got a real ninja to try cutting the fruit.
In doom you can carry up to 100 rockets if you have the backpack. I want to see em do that 😂
After Mythbusters were done it would be cool of Force Recon retook Camp Xray for training purposes.
Didn't expect Brandon shaub to make an appearance
Most fps games have a weapons cache that only allow you the ability to carry so much. Or you have to buy an upgrade to carry more.
Would've been nice if Death Stranding came out back in the days so we could've seen Adam & Jamie try to balance a fuckload of stuff on their backs
I'd have felt better if they'd gotten either a soldier or SWAT officer to do the test. Those guys are still really strong, but they would have approached it with more of the tactical element than the MMA fighter.
28:18: Brings new meaning to "Fruit Concentrate". jk
Shootout to Sergeant Bitterman who showed a magnificent performance retaliating against the Strogg.
Maybe the space commando in Doom has a Tartarus device!
this is the funiest thing brendan has ever been
damn how i envy those two experianceing all those things from our favorite games of thru our lives! and like jamie said "I would pay real good money to do that in real life"
game physics dont make sense becos it dont exist 😂😂😂
Video game physics does not apply in real life versions. Where else could you toss a tank? 😅😅😅
it hurts my soul that testing fps game realisim is tested on doom.. i feel physical pain
I think the biggest myth is that the Doom video game cost only 25cents to play.
Yeah, never seen a coin op outside of the film Grosse Point Blank. You can pick up Doom 1 & 2 for a few quid on console!
They could had done the Doom course with a night vision or ceiling mounted camera, that ruined the mood.
Still, after years, absolutely blows my mind they let Adam swing a sword around like that without any fail-safes in place THAT close to 3 unprotected humans 🤯 1 slip away from a death 🤪
It's just jugglers.
the roblox sounds when the swords xD
3 issues with the fruit ninja part. 1. not the same amount of fruit being thrown in the minute. 2. its fruit *ninja* , adam wasnt using a ninjas sword he was using a katana which is a samurai sword which is curved and heavier than a ninjas sword a ninjato which is straight and light weight 3. adam as much as hes used swords like in the star wars episode, is 1. not physically fit enough to stamina swinging a sword for a full minute and 2. not skilled enough with said blade as a swordsman
This was the Ep that got me into Video games and being a Dev & Tester
Wasnt expecting Brendan schaub to turn up on this side of youtube

[jamies 70 pounds of equipment banging against the wall and grunts echoing down the halls then opening and walking through door extremely slow]
*enemy surprised*
Surface gravity on Mars is only about 38% of the surface gravity on Earth.
So true doom guy would carry a heavy flashlight instead of a light headlamp.
