Almost finished restoring a1967 428ci toudor California car with 35000 mi no rust with service records have owned it 12yr. The biggest problem is finding parts etc. painted it a dark aqua did not put the vinyl roof back. Look amazing had one like this in my twenty's
My grandfather had a 1965 landau thunderbird. The color was called honey-gold with a black interior and a black vinyl grooved or lined roof. Sort of like a channeling appearance. I never saw this roof on any other thunderbird on the road or at shows. Most comfortable car I ever drove. Nothing I didn't like about it. I had to sell it because of financial matters. Most car enthusiasts still don't know how unique the '64-'66 models are to own. It makes you want to take lkng trips on the highway
i picked up a project 66 with the 428 yesterday. I have a ton to address, due to the crazy amount of features they have, and with that comes electrical issues. I went immediately to order the chilton, only to find that one doesnt exist, so i found a original ford service manual, so i ordered that. until that gets here, im working on getting it back to complete, all the trim and bits and bobs. once i complete that step and have a complete wiring diagram, well... then the hard part starts haha
Absolutely. They are super awesome luxurious cars. Sometimes the electronics can be a headache. Especially on a convertible. Good luck with your project 👍
Definitely upgrade the braking system to a dual Bowl you don't want to lose a line and lose all your fluid maybe the first thing brakes it's pretty messed up when you can't start your car but it's really f****** messed up when you can't stop it

Great looking T-bird! Love the spinner hubcaps! I'm currently restoring a '66 with a 390.

I love T-Birds. Great Video!
That's a bad machine sir!!
428 is a fe block as well! main difference is the crank and rods. Longer stroke to gain the 38cubes.
