Listed by mistake, my a$$! They found someone who was able to offer more than the auction, it's that simple. But don't worry, a pure car enthusiast still a car enthusiast, building an M1, an E30 or a Renault 4L. And you're a true one.
Totally agree! Real ones show and it’s often easy to tell when people buy cars for attention or as a symbol of wealth etc but true enthusiasts buy what they love

Casting aspersions here but I think they didn't get what they wanted for the shell and decided to invent a way to withdraw from the sale. Wouldn't be the first time, people do that with cheap items so why not something of this level.

Yeah I think that’s the case to be honest. Its a shame as the opportunity won’t come around again but it’s one of those things in life! I still have the 2002 build to do

Oh I’m certain it was supposed to be listed the add explained what it was and some of the race history etc and drivers.
Definitely think you dodged a bullet and although you had a great plan in place things can usually cost you thrice what you plan. Shifty as tho on the part of the seller 🤬
Yeah it woulda meant staying out there a bit longer I think… definitely wouldn’t have been cheap!
