It was a guy who wrote the guardian article on Jay Shetty. He was on the H3 podcast talking about it recently. He was originally hired to do a puff piece on him but started uncovering all these inconsistencies in his story and when he brought it to their attention, they killed his story. It's fascinating actually because spiritual gurus are becoming very popular and like Heather said, he has a lot of celebrities that endorse him but it turns out he's full of you know what 😂

The journalist was a guy and the original article was for Esquire, not Vulture. Esquire killed the article when inconsistencies cropped up, and the story was then picked up by The Guardian. The journalist’s name is John McDermott and he was also on Keya’s World yesterday.

Almost every single one of my ex-boyfriend has started off the relationship with a lie. I’ve never understood why you would pretend to be something that you’re not when you meet somebody. What happens when you get to know them better you have to keep lying? The one boyfriend had a kid and didn’t tell me, one of them told me he was a doctor when he wasn’t, and one of them told me he was a virgin when he wasn’t. I don’t understand people.

Yes, he sold 'a$s kissing celebs' as being spiritual. I don't trust anybody selling spirituality or motivational speaking. Guru's, gods, muses or 'I had an epiphany' - all that cr@p, I just don't buy it. We all have shifts in our lives or awakenings, just not all of us go around putting fancy words to it or selling their experience as something so unique that it must be shared with the world! We all have different upbringings, incomes, loves, family and live in different parts of the world and just trying to get on in life without some bull$hitter selling you spirituality by comparing you to Michelle Obamba, Oprah and J Lo.

My Grandmother was Native American and a Sensitive, Healer, Empath, Psychic....all these qualities that weren't called that then. She taught me alot and told me as a child I had her gifts. I did and I do. She also was very adamant when she told me this "You should never charge for your gift of healing or knowledge." I never have. I know I'm probably alone on this belief. The majority of these people are phonies and grifters who have a negative dark life condition feeding off an occult and hanging up a neon sign in their window. Shetty is not the only fraudulent guru. There's also Sadhguru who might have potentially offed his wife. He said that she basically meditated so hard that she passed away. Heather- if you haven’t already read it, there is an excellent newer book about Jackie Kennedy called Jackie: Public, Private, Secret. It’s a great history of her, lots of juicy scoop and goes in to why her relationship with Lee was so strained. Also talks about Jackie’s mom, who sounds like a “Big Kathy” kind of mom. You would love it!
Jackie's Mother was a Socialite who felt marrying Jackie's Father was beneath her. She was cultured and came from old money. Kathy, Kim and Kyle's Mother didn't come from money, wasn't cultured, an Alcoholic, stage Mother and very crass. I would agree they both pushed their Daughters to marry well.

I was such a helicopter mom but I never thought someone would drug my kids. My main concern was making sure the parents were going to be there chaperoning things. I did have a friend that wouldn’t allow her daughter to go on a sleepover and I felt so sorry for her.

Heather, I get that you’re fond of vanderpump rules cast, but this whole thing so exaggerated and Rachael aka Raquel is used and abused left right and centre. Is she the first person ever to sleep with a married/committed guy? Ariana herself admitted her and Tom haven’t slept together for months but the way I heard her speak to him I think it could be years and they only stayed together because of the show in my opinion. So I think when Ariana acts like this is so outrageous is a bit stretched too far. It’s like they killed somebody. Didn’t it cross Ariana’s mind her boyfriend is getting it elsewhere if not from her? Plus, as a couple you become close friends with this third person hanging out together all the time (Rachel). Doesn’t take a genius to figure out one of them is sleeping with her. I reaal tried to get into Jay Shetty and it is unfortunate he is not for me, I am already a vegan already guru and he just seems really into promotion and advertising and married a younger girl, I bought his book and I can't read it, I was really into him because I was thinking like a monk but he does not come off humble to me or like he wants to change the world he comes off as he just wants to sell things like his tea and be popular. I am actually a monk living my life wholesome and I bought into him online until I bought his book it's just his voice is unbearable to read and really told me all I need to know about him and I called him out as a fake in my head about 2 weeks ago and then this comes out.. I do not think he is fabulous, there is a difference between being liked and being popular and actually being a good person. The people who are the most popular and the most liked are not the best humans. Period. They are far from. We need good people to rise to the top but good people are not popular people because they stand by their character. If anyone at the top was good the world would be a much different place. They don't care about you only selling things to you.
