Seriously Tara. I had no clue you struggled with melasma. I got it when I was pregnant and omg i had a literal mask. I was a freak about sunscreen for so long and it helped. Mine finally went away but I could def use this system. Years ago I used obagi but I also am 42 and could use a great routine again. Thank you
Love Obagi!!!! Ok back to the video!! Ok, I used Obagi for the longest time and I agree it is a game changer!!! My skin has never looked as good as it does when I use Obagi. I miss the Blender and Clear with hydroquinone. It seems like that combination with the retin-a makes the difference and gives they glow that no other product does. I’m curious how you like the new formula without hydroquinone. Makes me want to go back on Obagi❤️ Mel used it too❤️
Ok I hate to admit this but I am turning 63 this month and just about 3 months ago I decided to use a sunscreen for the very first time in my life. It ruined my skin. I must have been allergic because I have had eczema on my face ever since. It is painful and red. I have been trying so many moisturizers and lotions and everything would only just slightly help. I have stopped wearing any makeup and just this past 2 weeks I have finally found a product that helped me from the very first time I used it. It is a $20 essence called Secret Key. I love that stuff! It is Korean skincare. I am happy that you love your skincare! Good luck with your journey and I am really looking forward to watching.
Tara, I've never clicked so fast!!🤣 With that said, please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of the amazing Mel. Praying for comfort for you and all who knew and loved her. May your beautiful memories of her help heal your heart.❤️
I’ll surely be watching. I like Obagi. I use the Obagi prescription hydroquinone 4% twice a day. I get it from my dermatologist. It’s a constant battle. I also use sunscreen every single day, rain or shine, indoors and out. I’m careful to put it on all exposed skin. I have pigmentation on my upper left cheek and a spot on my nose. If I lapse a little it comes back.
Couple years ago I tried that toner & absolutely loved it. It cleans the pores so good & was ok for my dry skin. Sounds weird but when I’m out in the sun ☀️ more I get less zits it reduces inflammation for me. Of course I use sunscreen
Hi Tara, you can’t imagine how timely is your video! I have been suffering of hiperpigmention for years, and my skin had been looking much better with Good Molecules products (unbelielvable) my skin was more brighten and the hiperpigmentation was fading; however, yesterday I had to be 20 minutes under the sun and even when I was using sunblock, it damaged my skin terrible, when I got home I realized I got big dark spots/hiperpigmentation (like a mask as you mentioned), I cried like crazy 😩, I was so sad and frustraded because I am very careful with my skin as I know how sensitive it is. I couldn’t even sleep, and now you are coming with this! OMG! Thank you thank you thank you, you don’t know how encouraging was your video after yesterday night! I will definetly try it! I just have couple of questions: 1. how long is peeling part? -the first time you use it? 2. I am more combo skin (normal to oily); however I read that the normal to dry is the only one talks about even the skin tone. Should I buy the normal to dry as you? 3. Is the Obagi Nu-Derm Fx Starter System Normal to Dry the one you are using? I can’t find the transformation one… Thanks again, God bless you! ✨
Hey there❤❤ Yes, I would use the Normal / Dry kit. 😁 And. When I first used Obagi, I peeled like crazy for nearly a month. I had some sore days for the first 2 weeks, where my skin was CRAZY sensitive during cleansing and it was definitely a struggle. But, once I got through that, I haven't had it since that first time. I am peeling some right now, but no sensitivity which I'm grateful (and I don't have sensitive skin) I had the same thing happen to me over the summer. When I saw that hat I was wearing as I was laying at the beach with my daughter didn't cover my whole face and my Hyperpigmentation came back, I CRIED😢 I normally don't lay out in the sun, but it was my daughter's last summer before college and it was time for us to hang together alone. It was still worth it. 😁 But, my Hyperpigmentation was bad before I started Obagi years ago. Now it's just slowly creeping back up, year by year. But, I think you will absolutely LOOOOVE Obagi. If you have Retinol or Trentinol you could mix with the Blend FX maybe 2 nights a week, that will boost it. The Obagi is able to push that pigment layers and layers under the skin. Other treatments I've used only goes down 1-2 layers, which is what sounds like happened with the Good Molecules. It helped, but it wasn't strong enough to push it down deep (I really like good Molecules 😁). Obagi will help, it's a fantastic product. If you have any further questions , please let me know ❤❤
Hi Tara I am from the UK and I'm new to your channel, I have found this video very interesting. I love everything to do with skin, I'm 58yrs just turned on the 22nd of September, and in my younger childhood years suffered eczema which I still suffer to this day but I am able to control it a lot more now, malasma, and in my early forties adult acne. Now I am using a plant based retinol every night, with many other natural plant based oils, serums and moisturisers factor 50 sunscreen through the day and I think my skin is pretty much under control now, even though I am now in the menopause. Yay its such a joy getting older. Thank You for this video 😊
At almost 60 I have no wrinkles or fine lines but still battle with melasma and very rarely acne. But my skin is ver very oily and that has its own challenges. I have been on prescription Retin a for close to three decades and good products for melasma. It is a constant battle. I look forward to watching your journey and wish you the 🤞
Happy that these products help you so good Tara, great video!!! I have more redness mostly, more than hyperpigmentation (here and there). I see that the brand is also here in The Netherlands, so i'll have a look if they have something for my more dry sensitive skin. Thanks for the beautiful video, keep on praying for you!!!😘😘😘😘
Tara your skin is beautiful, I’m 68 and have been using RetinA for 5 years now and I use it 5 nights a week, took me several years to get to that level with no peeling, is there anything I can use just for the the hyperpigmentation, I can’t afford that Obagi system. Thank you
Hey Tara Lynn 💜💖 your skin is looking fantastic, thank you for sharing your skincare journey. Your hair is looking so amazing also, so beautiful and healthy.
OMG! I always truly get the best tips from you! Since my sister was pregnant with her twins, she has been trying to get rid of that "Pregnancy mask". She got it really bad around the mouth and on the forehead. I am definitely buying this for her. Sister love!
Ahhh, you're so sweet❤ What amazing sister love.. For me it was a life changer. I've seen so many amazing results over the years. People I have shared Obagi with, it has charged their life. I hope it helps😁 Melasma can be stubborn, Obagi to the rescue😁❤
It is the Tom Ford holiday Lipstick from last year. It's in the silver bullet. I think they were called the extreme Spark, something like that. I believe it's discontinued. The shade was 19 Extreme Synthetica. It's stunning. You may be able to find it at Mecari or Poshmark. I can't wait too see his lip shades for this holiday season💋💋
Thank you for sharing this I know if you remember or not but you actually went back and forth with me on here messaging about products that help brighten the skin and I remember you told me about this system cuz I was trying to find hydroquinone and you told me about this system
Tara, you’re stunning 😍 You should also give Zo Skin Health a try (Dr Zein Obagi) they’re expensive, but arguably the best medical grade products out there! 💛
Hello Tara! I just bought this skin system yesterday from my esthetician. She studied under Dr. Obaji. The steps provided are exactly as you stated. You mentioned you use the system for 4 months then put it away? Can you explain this please?
Don’t worry if the first box was expensive, I’m very confident when the company saw the potential customers you can bring to them in your Chanel after this video, they will start sponsoring you for the next boxes 😜 so the investment is worthy, you help the followers to find the treatment for the concern and you get the sponsor for the product, is a win win Tara, thanks for sharing your testimony 😘
I doubt Obagi will ever reach out to me, what a dream that would be. Lol 🤣😅. Obagi is expensive, but it's like a botox service, but with longer lasting results lol. Obagi will always have my heart, after giving me my confidence back, I will forever be grateful🙏 Thanks so much for watching, and about your comment, I girl can dream🤣😁❤ nothing wrong with that. Lol
Happen to see your video today and my, your skin looks amazing and what a beautiful earing too! The more simpler the system the easier and and ready to be pick up by busy people. I love simple skincare product and i love this video alot!🥰
I know. I was so bummed when I found out. I've tried a few other brands that sell it, but it's a lower grade than what used to come in the Blend and it just wasn't as affective🥺 The new Blend FX is impressive though. Even without it , I've seen results over the last few years (when introducing it into my skin care routine alone) so I'm hoping using it with the entire kit it will be even more effective❤😁
Great question. So the old formula used to have Hydroquinone in it. It was called the Blender. Now, they have regulated Hydroquinone and you can't get it without a prescription, so they removed it from the Blender and now it's called Blend FX. Hydroquinone is a skin Lightner. It works by inhibiting melanin production because it reduces the skin's production of melanin, which is responsible for skin color. I can't say for sure if that's why you were told the Blender is not good for you to use, but I'm willing to bet if the older version with hydroquinone they are referring too. But I would definitely ask a professional just to make sure that's the reasob. But the The new Blend FX (hydroquinone free) it is made with arbutin, antioxidants, and an exfoliant to help clarify and brighten skin. It wouldn't affect the melanin in your skin. So I think you would be fine with the Blend FX. (You can't buy the Blender with Hydroquinone without a prescription from a Dermatologist ) Hope that makes sense😁 i was all over the place. Haha.
@Celia Mas Just be SUPER careful in the sun. You'll want to always make sure you're protected with SPF and whenever you're going to be out for long periods of time, wear a cute hat. It will help protect your skin. Your skin will be shedding and Exfoliating to generate healthier skin and you don't want that new skin exposed to the sun, it can cause more damage😁 But you'll love the glow you will get. It's just so beautiful❤
