    Here is a fun fact. It's a 30w amp but Roland could not call it a JC-30 because it sounds to much like AC30.

      Brandon Ivey it’s loud. You might just get there with the 22, but the 40 will definitely do it. What’s ‘shocking’ is that because this thing is running in stereo the speaker size almost becomes irrelevant. I rarely go past ten o’clock with this and it’s loud. Loads of headroom. I didn’t believe it myself until I owned one. Whack a stereo pedal board through it and you’re done.

    Or perhaps two (2) Fender Champion 20's. lets see that would be 40 watts total, 2 of 8" speakers, reverb, reverb+chorus, delay, vibrato, tremolo, distortion and 8 choices of modelled amps. etc and at $99 each that would only cost $198 for two amps. Best part, you can separate them any distance you want in order to get the stereo effect best suited for the room. Yes you need to purchase a $29 Galaxy Audio JIB/S 4 way splitter so you can run 1, 2, 3 or 4 different amps from a single guitar. Total cost $227.
    I already have one Fender Champion 20 and the Galaxy Audio JIB/S 4-way splitter, so it's only another$98 for me to have such a rig. Right now I am using a Fender Frontman 15G as the second amp, or sometimes my Fender Vibro Champ tube amp with tube tremolo/vibrato with adjustable speed.
    I make those jazz feelings "faces" as well!

    Is it actually worth the money?
    Like, is there a difference in quality between the jc120, 40, and 22? Or is it just a difference in size and volume?

    • @morphinglight
      @morphinglight 3 роки тому +1

      They all have that unmistakably jazz chorus clean tone. The 120 is VERY loud, so if you're planning to use it at home, go with the 40 or 22. All take pedals really well and all sound very good, so the main difference between them is volume. Also the distortion is slightly improved in the JC40 compared to the JC120.

    • @albert1908
      @albert1908 4 роки тому

      Gene Nery the chorus is a fixed affect, can't be modified, only on the jc-40 it can be modified. but on the 120,22, and 55 the two knobs only function for the vibrato channel, the amp runs in stereo, one speaker is clean, and another speaker has the vibrato running, giving it the chorus sound, when on the vibrato mode both speaker have vibrato, only then the 2 knobs work.

    • @genenery9315
      @genenery9315 4 роки тому

      @@albert1908, I see what you're saying but honestly, I believe that most people really only care about the chorus effect on this amp - me included. You might miss the vibrato feature but I don't think anyone else will. I loved the JC-120 but there are 2 things I don't miss about it; its weight and the vibrato effect. Also, technically, the chorus isn't "fixed" since it does in fact have speed and depth controls. It's just missing the vibrato effect. That doesn't make it a fixed chorus effect because a true "fixed" chorus would not have speed and depth controls and nobody would want a fixed chorus effect. Nobody.
