As a Bangladeshi I am really honored that tourism increasing but not every local people are good so sometime you faced unpredictable situation like some stuffs over priced charged, finding alcohol, hotel environment and right place for bus stops, train or hotel. But believe me everything you can enjoy if some local people accompany you 😢 and easily you can find any stuffs in proper place. Best wishes and safe travel❤

He did entered but they told him not to film which is why he left. Consumption of alcohol is restricted in Bangladesh and only bars with license are allowed to sell any alcohol or the expensive hotels, there's a heavy tax on them as well which makes it expensive. The rickshawpuller took him to one of those underground bars which operates illegally, doesn't pay any tax so they sell cheaper. Which is why they maintain that shabby look so the police doesn't suspect the place.

Later on the rickshaw Kurt himself said "Maybe our rickshaw driver used to be an ex alcoholic, he took me to two and they refused so we're looking for another" this line suggest he wasn't allowed two the earlier two for camera, including the one we saw. If they were robbers and actually wanted, they would have done that by then.

Glad you like the people though. And I agree. Most places are unfortunately filthy and chaotic. But there are some specific places in each city where the areas are clean and well looked after. Like some residential areas, parks, resorts and all that stuff. But yeah. Travelling on public transports and trying to get the feel of "real" Bangladesh will always make you feel like it's the most filthiest and chaotic place on Earth unfortunately.

All major telecommunications has their own retail outlets stores who will provide you sim with your passport copy. You can find them at the airport too. They can also issue you e-sim as well. Those people who gave you the sim cards; has scammed you. Those sims are free of cost for locals.
I mean given the conditions they live in. It's amazing to me that they're smiling. But I couldn't help but notice how overpopulated this country is and how much pollution there is too. That was something I didn't want to see. So I stuck to the good things in this video. Maybe they are not as happy as they would like, but there is a joy in them that is different from happiness, yes. During that Tuktuk scene where the guy tried to overcharge him, when Kurt first got in the driver said 300 taka which Kurt somehow mistook for 30 taka and the people outside were telling the driver not to worry, he will pay lol. But even 300 taka is way too much, these rides are like 10-30 taka. This is one of the issues, if they know you're a foreigner then they will almost always overcharge.

If a passenger inside the cars pulls the emergency cord or an air line (trains have air brakes) breaks the engineer stops the train as fast as possiable, if an airline breaks or just comes apart trains emergency break by themselves. In either case all on the front will be thrown forward just in time to be hit by the engine. Bad very bad place to stand, also frequent animal impacts will get messy and mess you right up to. 👍💯

All major telecommunications has their own retail outlets stores who will provide you sim with your passport copy. You can find them at the airport too. They can also issue you e-sim as well. Those people who gave you the sim cards; has scammed you. Those sims are free of cost for locals.

I mean given the conditions they live in. It's amazing to me that they're smiling. But I couldn't help but notice how overpopulated this country is and how much pollution there is too. That was something I didn't want to see. So I stuck to the good things in this video. Maybe they are not as happy as they would like, but there is a joy in them that is different from happiness, yes. I may have expressed myself wrong. In any case, the living conditions of some people and Kurt's simple attitudes make us see how we complain when our bellies are full. I know it's difficult to be happy in the conditions these people find themselves in. But they remain “cheerful” with so little. This is an example for those who complain about life.

Bangladesh is like India 30 years ago
During that Tuktuk scene where the guy tried to overcharge him, when Kurt first got in the driver said 300 taka which Kurt somehow mistook for 30 taka and the people outside were telling the driver not to worry, he will pay lol. But even 300 taka is way too much, these rides are like 10-30 taka. This is one of the issues, if they know you're a foreigner then they will almost always overcharge.
After I saw his last video of bangladesh I was very excited and eagerly waiting to see when the next Video would come. Just became a fan of Kurt after watching just few videos of his. Love you and your videos Kurt 💕💕❤❤

If a passenger inside the cars pulls the emergency cord or an air line (trains have air brakes) breaks the engineer stops the train as fast as possiable, if an airline breaks or just comes apart trains emergency break by themselves. In either case all on the front will be thrown forward just in time to be hit by the engine. Bad very bad place to stand, also frequent animal impacts will get messy and mess you right up to. 👍💯
