    I would like to see a layout tour, especially the engine facility. I enjoy how you narrate the moves you make. You have a nice layout.

      Agreed! I have a similar size space and I would like to see the overall view and/or a track plan for ideas as a plan my railroad out.

    Hope the Crewman recovers quickly after his mishap @ 27:50-51. He did a great job holding onto tanker UTLX75847 back to the run around track only to be bowled over while preforming ground duties.

      and for those who don't know, it's not uncommon for the carrier to bring injured workers up on charges... sounds crazy but it's true

    A really well presented layout and another great operating session video. Nice to see trains that are not covered in graffiti (even though I know the real world is different). I especially like the back story behind the industries and they get each type of car as it adds to the realism. I had a lot of fun finding real industries around the country for loads to go to or come from for my proto-freelance layout and then work out how often they all were serviced. Yet another dimension to this great hobby. Cheers
    Brendon

    Awesome layout! I work at KC but at a diaper plant. We use to have a rail dock where they unloaded the Pulp and Sam that makes up the absorbent part of the diaper. But they got rid of that in the early 2000s. We now receive everything by truck and load containers with diapers that are sent to a near by intermodal yard.

    • @milepost33
      @milepost33  7 місяців тому

      Interesting! Too bad they switched to trucks. At least the RR gets the intermodal business. Thanks for your comment, glad you enjoy the layout!

      @@milepost33 yeah I wish they still got stuff by rail. The rail line by the factory was abandoned in the late 90s. Come to find out that the mill that makes the pulp is only have 100miles. The town I’m in only is connected by a short line that connects with BNSF and UP. They were recently bought by GWRR like most short lines have. I plan to model the spur at some point. Been planning it out and figuring out supplies

      Cabosse is always at the end if done wright,sorry but ex rail would whether stand on a cab platform then hang off a tank car,caboose was not used correctly,=$%,
      But then you call it a shoving platform 2 different things,just a old heads opinion,bottom line great layout,I hope I can do the same I am 65yrs old time is short,thank you.
