50:00 sir thoda complex bna diya....Sir ish question ko easy kiya ja sakta tha...... Solution: if one pipe A is 6 time faster than another pipe B. It's mean ration b/w pipe A and pipe B ( A:b = 6:1) it's mean if Pipe A fill tank 6 liter in 1 minute than pipe B fill tank in 1 liter in 1 minute. According to Question: Pipe B complete fill tank in 28 minutes. it's mean cistern/tank capicity is 1 * 28 = 28 liter. if both pipe open in ( 6 + 1) than tank fill 7 liter in 1 minutes so that, cistern will be complete fill if both pipe open in 28 / 7 = 4 minutes. (Answer).
1:12:50 , it is said in question that both the pipes are opened together for 5 min , so instead of taking A+B = 5+4 = 9l / min. Sir has taken only A that is 5L per min. So instead of 5*5 it should have been 9*5= 45 then 100-45 =55 so on on completing the next steps we obtain 13.77 min.
Yeah after subtracting 45 from 100 we get 55 which divided by 4 gets us 13.75. Hence after that adding the 5min they worked together we get 18.75. So both of you are very wrong
@@Dev-0709 read the question (question is asking how long did it take for the second pipe to fill the remaining cistern after both the pipes were closed at 5 mins .so 45 is the amount of liquid filled in the cistern by both pipes for 5 mins after that remaining 55 is filled by second pipe so 55/4 is correct answer and this is what the question is asking )it would be stupid to add 5 mins to 13.75 because the 5 mins for second pipe is already been counted in 45(pipe1 (5liters/min)+pipe2 (4 liter/min))multiplied by 5(first five minutes in which both worked together)=(5+4)*5=45,and the remaining 55 is done by pipe 2 which is 55/4=13.75 .so 13.75 is the time that it takes to fill the remaining cistern.
