@@FLHamExtra Totally agree! For me when I get some saved, something always comes up! lol! But, heck, I got my health for the most part so I'm happy! Take care! Best to ya',,,,!
I have 7 Wilson Combat pistols for numerous reasons but you guys mentioned Tressa and I wanted to offer a story that shows how dedicated and amazing she is and your customer service in general is. Back in February 2015 I was purchasing some springs and magazines and noticed the keychain of all things was missing from the site… Tressa responded to my message and for the next 2 years she kept me updated until 2017 when they returned and I bought 4. Your folks spent time updating your customers on a $6 item - that tells you all you need to know!
I've interacted with Tressa over the last 10 years or so, and quite frankly, she is the BEST in the business! I can't imagine Wilson Combat without her! She is AMAZING!
Tressa is absolutely amazing! I bought my first gun because of the name on the slide! I bought all the others because of Tressa and her AMAZING WONDERFUL service! She is the best part of Wilson Combat! Thanks for everything you’ve done for me Tressa, YOU ROCK! Rick
Started shooting USPSA nearly 30 years ago. Build my own pistols, so never purchased a Wilson pistol but have bought a lot of good Wilson parts. Wilson is a Quality Seal of Approval. Thank you, Mr. Wilson for all you have done for 1911 competitive shooters and lovers.
I have four Wilson Combat 1911s! And I feel very Fortunate, as humble to have them! And the last is as good as the first! I am old school, and have to have the three dot sight system ! It is just a preference to me other then the Fiber optic front! As Ambie Safteys! I love Super Grade, as my Reproduction upgrade of the 365 Mico that I just got back! As I own 2 watches, and they are great as well! Thank you Bill!
Armand Swenson... he sure did a fine job customizing the 1911-A1! There was an old boy in Commerce, Oklahoma, named Clarence " Bud" Price, who customized .45s for people that bet there lives on their equipment, and he provided them with that . A good man, and a great friend, that I miss .
Heirloom Precision guns run 10-16k, Jason does incredible work and gets paid a premium for it, at that price it makes it super difficult to carry and shoot the gun! Wilson Combats are expensive but I carry and shoot all the ones I own with nothing but enjoyment!
I love this fireside chat kind of presentation. Bill and Ken are like old friends that I have known all my life. I guess I am about the same age as these two gentleman . By all means, please keep doing these videos, they are greatly appreciated . Thank You, J.P.Hogan
It's always interesting to know the professional career of a person who started with modest means and who believed in his ideas, his passion and his know-how to carve out a place for himself in a field where competition must be difficult with giants like S&W, Colt, Springfield Armory & all others. I hope one day to have the chance to try one of your guns!
Im only a few years into my 1911 hobby but can truly appreciate the workmanship and dedication of Wilson. The magazines and triggers ive bought are amazing! Congrats on 45 years and I'll hopefully own a wilson custom one day😁
What a great presentation! I find it truly amazing that all of your original employees are still with you after 45 years, it must be a wonderful place to work. I really enjoyed listening to the history and the evolution of the company. I’m a recent first time owner of a Wilson combat pistol. My first “Grown -Up” gun. I bought the EDCX9 to replace my polymer frame it every day carry gun and I couldn’t be happier. It’s a phenomenal shooter, it makes me look better than I am, the confidence I have in shot placement now is elevated to a completely different level. Thank you for having such a great product line up.
Thanks men. Really interesting hearing all the particulars of your business that old folks like me have watched grow. I remember selling shock buffs and Wilson mags in our little shop as well as using them in my and dad's Colts.
Congratulations on all this hard work and collaborative efforts with others. Goes a long way to make a good name for yourself, and to be kind to others.
Exactly what you guys said. Paid off my mortgage to our property the kids are grown and out of college. So yes I am treating myself to some of the best firearms around Wilson Combat. You get what you pay for outstanding quality.
I'm also from Idaho, enjoy your videos I was surprised that you said that the complete teardown videos, was a disaster, I watched and was a bit nervous about the sear, but I completely took it apart and set it up the way you said and it runs perfectly, thank you for your help
Pick a favorite? As if I can actually pick just one! But I would love to see a Solid Frame Single Stack 1911 with a slimmer grip profile. No matter what, I love your products (currently have 3, and saving for the next one), and I anxiously look forward to whatever is next! Outstanding video gents, love the history! Keep em coming.
I rock a CQB in 9mm almost everyday. Many rounds down the pipe with no issues. Thinking of sending it in to get cut for a dot. Bout 2k since last cleaning and still no malfunctions. Amazing machine! Worth every penny
Watching a video from Nighthawk Custom, I wasn't surprised to learn that more than one of their Pistol Smiths got their start with Wilson Combat. I sure do hope they thanked Bill and left on good terms. Personally, I would love to have any custom 1911, the funny thig is; after handling several different custom 1911's, they all have their own feel, from one maker to the next. Meaning if you pick up a Wilson it will have a different fit to hand than say a Les Baer, or a Nighthawk Custom. In my opinion, they are, All far better than the average "Joe" deserves, but it sure is a treat to own and shoot a true hand fit 1911, there is nothing like it. If you shoot a Kimber, Springfield or a Colt, then shoot a hand fit pistol, the recoil impulse, the return t battery has a total different feel, smooth is the only way I can describe it. Just nice.
I would like to hear more about the sig 320 and 365. Big fan of those two platforms and sig really getting beat over drop safe concerns and like to know what you guys think about it being bill Wilson is in that market
Hey Guys... I was the 300th LIKE and LOVE Your Products! I personally have Six WC Guns and manage a Gun Shop in Attica, NY (Sugarbush Armory) that is one of your dealers and proud vendor of your ultra reliable and pretty firearms ';-) Thanks for being such a viable product in today's marketplace... Sincerely, Mike~
I'm 65 years old when I really got into the guns handguns especially I found your company wish I could afford one of your guns but that'll be one of those days basically a wishlist I have a p365 and I just ordered one of your appendix holsters and then next I'm going to order one of the grip module but then you come out with the rebuild of the new p365 from your hands from your thoughts now you really want one of those guns that kind of took the place of the sfxt nine model that I've been wanting but now since I'm in love with a p365 you come out with one even better that I want thank you very much
Interesting story! Been using your products since I think 1985 or 1986, when I ordered an Accu-Comp LE in 45 ACP at the start of my competition days. Built on a Colt of course!
Super cool video, and I loved it. I have a suggestion to pass along. Revolvers are making a resurgence these days, and I know you have extensive experience with wheel guns. Perhaps it is time for Wilson Combat to consider the revolver market. Several possible directions you could take it. Perhaps linking up with your friends at Beretta to make a Wilson Combat MR73. Maybe a custom shop to improve the less than stellar current revolvers. Just a thought.
sitting here cleaning and reassembling my new(ish) EDCx9 really enjoy these video’s. I love this gun, its the best gun I’ve ever owned. I carry it as my EDC now with the 90gr Lehigh defense extreme defenders. Really great shooter. Makes me look better than I am. I love carrying that grey bag into the range, because when you know you know. I have a few people come up and say, “is that a Wilson?”, I smile proudly and say -yes it is. Want to shoot a few rounds. It’s funny, the one thing I say to everyone before I hand it to them, is “just do me one favor- Don’t drop the slide on an empty chamber, Bill and Ken wouldn’t like that”…. I really enjoy this gun, Thanks Bill!
I love your products except the 500 series mags. I have 10 1911's. Only one will function with the 500 series mag. The 47D are awesome and never fail. I have 22 , 47D's and 3 of the 500 series. I wanted to give the 500's a chance to run. My guns just don't like them. Everything else from you is 100% the best things on the market. Thanks for all you've done and contributed.
This is to Bill Wilson....just an idea I have had for years....why can't you build a semi auto pistol in 30 M1 Carbine cartridge ? There is all the hoopla over the new 30 Super but the M1 Carbine would have terrific performance. Look at that case length. It would be a monster !!!
Not saying nighthawks aren’t good they are one of the best pistols out there but personally I don’t mind 2 or 3 sets of eyes looking over a pistol I buy over just one person.
I probably should have said I have owed Wilson's before. 2 cqb's one was the green lol. Also many parts I still have the grip safety jig lol. But hard times kids and divorce ate up most of the good stuff.
I really kick myself for selling an early CQB with grey frame and black slide. It would eat everything and could be had for like $1400. Now they are double that 😢
There is a reason why Michael Saylor, the CEO of Micro Strategies, won’t get married. He doesn’t want a woman divorce raping his company. If I decide to start a company, I’ll file for divorce before I apply for the business license.
Congratulations, I don't own one of your guns they are a bit outside my prize range. I might have used some of your parts over the years on my own build's. What is your favorite Wilson Combat product??
The hats.
8 round.45acp magaznes!
The 47 D magazine's The 7 shot mags are the toughest mags made they changed the 45 world !
i love the 1911 in 454 casull
47D and ETM mags. They worked reliably as compared to some other competitors.

Another great show. Please make a show on selecting the correct spring for a 1911.

AMT used to make one and it was not successful. Maybe it was due to AMT's lack of quality or to the length, slenderness, and power of the cartridge.
Why is WC not making double stack 1911 mags for STI 2011 frames, Para Ordonance double stack frames and Caspian double stack frames?

Just get both.
Omg just watch a video of these from 1997 about the 1996 A2 … 😳
Wonderful firearms but I'd much rather have a clean slide without all the roll marks and engravings. I hate that slides have become billboards.
