Very interesting stuff. If Gnasty's World was anything to go by, we already have a good idea of how the Machinists world would have looked. as for the Aquifiers, it's a shame that this never came to be, because I'm imagining a very Atlantis-esque place with marble sculptures and hallways, pretty fountains and water features, and maybe even a long underwater tunnel where you can see the ocean on the outside. I'd love to see it in a future game.
Gnasty's World was once called the Machinists' Homeworld in a beta build of Spyro 1. LXShadow has footage of this beta on their channel. As for Aquifiers, I can see this world having a huge difficulty spike as Spyro's inability to swim means that there would be little to no foothold in the stages due to numerous bodies of water, both big and small. Think of the stage designs like Tree Tops, so you can get what I'm saying. Had Spyro Reignited Trilogy received DLC, I can imagine Aquifiers being one of them... oh well. Modding community, you know what to do!
It has become a tradition lately to bring scrapped/canceled content to new games and entries to expand the gameplay and help the lore. And in minor level mix elements from other games into new ones. I honestly hope these two families get introduced, that would help to explain some world functioning, and we could get a fishing minigame. I love fishing minigames.
Interesting, would have loved to see what the dragons of these other two families would have looked like. And after seeing how awesome the dragons in the reignited trilogy looked I have no doubt that their designs would have been sick!!
I had never heard of Aquifiers _ever_. ...though very interestingly, I almost predicted it in a dumb fan project where I was laying out a timeline where spyro and skylanders had never been separate. I imagined a "Coast Guards" world themed around level boundaries in general including oceans and chasms. This came from the reasoning that every skylanders element had to start out as a dragon realm - Artisans was assigned Fire, Beast Makers got Life, etc. But before long I ran out of existing ones so I had to invent some new ones for Water, Earth, Air, Light, and Undead. I thought Earth would have been a super fun realm because it would be the dragons that designed landscapes and it would be full of crazy platforming challenges. Though for that matter, I can imagine "Coast Guards" having things like twisty rivers twirling through pure void that would force the devs to add swimming when they otherwise didn't intend to have it
I would like to see different Dragon Families in The Spyro Series like Water Dragons and Wyverns not the ones that look like the ones from Legend Spyro but Wyverns who look similar to Alduin Smaug and Paarthurnax and other dragons who are wyverns
These would be awesome concepts to use for a future Spyro game.
Saving the dragons was my favorite "collectible" in the trilogy.

Amazing discovery! 😍It's a pity that the last two Worlds were scrapped though...
