Aslamlekum I am 63 years old and I have carried basic Muslim duties and thought this what Islam is about but never have had the deep understanding and connection with deen and Allah. Talking about guilt and moving on ,I always wanted to have an answer to this question: if someone did a sin , like for example Zina but she actually repent ,does the one marrying her should know about it bfr marrying her , even though it’s said that once you repent from a sin , you shouldn’t mention it anymore ca it’s between you and Allah . I often get on a debate with my friends about this matter, can I have a n answer about this matter jazaka Allah

I'm a certified Somatic Therapist and I don't tell my clients to let go of guilt. Instead I work with them to turn their attention inwards and focus on the guilt, and listen to it. Listen to what's it's message and it needs them to do. It's not a process of letting go. It's a process of integration.
@@samiraqurbani3324i guess you still listen to guilt in general to assess which part of that guilt does not belong to you and which part does and then you decide what to do about the different types of guilt
@@samiraqurbani3324 Islamically, we are told that we shouldnt have to feel guilt for something that isnt your fault/that you had no control over, and if we do have it (ex: from trauma, being around a really cruel person/environment, etc) we have to recognize where that guilt we arent responsible from comes from, and then work to let go of it. Likewise, guilt for something we do have control over and can change from now on is also to be acknowledged, but we use this sort of guilt to stop that bad thing and move towards bettering ourselves in the way we know we should actually be acting.

He is reading ayat of Allah, teaches the meanings and lessons of it, and parts wisdom behind it and now he is helping us to purify our souls. What he does is well beyond Arabic and translation.
As a revert, I wanted to know what the Quran meant before I accepted Islam. Re-reading it now I see so much more in its meaning. I could not imagine reciting anything without understanding what I am saying during Salah or in general. Such a great insight into ruh and nafs. Thank you for this!

I Love the brother and he is doing a lot of good things. It is a very good discussion, guilt is a tool to correct our actions. It is also not good though to have pity party with guilt either and it is the twisted deception of Nafs like I am horrible, look at me what I have done. Admit, make the correction and move on. It is dis-empowering to let guilt define us. Also, what I don't get it is that we don't need to make a good point by making Christianity wrong or bad. All of our brothers do this and it is divisive.

What about excessive guilt that’s been planted from childhood trauma? Guilt that does not belong to you but you carried?

Guilt should come from within. People use guilt to manipulate you to act according to their wishes.

What a beutifull detailing of qiyamah and nafsey lawwamah one big question you raised about the Quran I would encourage myself to say wama qadarullaha huqqa qudurehi tears come in my eyes when I feel how this beutifull book is being neglected by the muslim ummah no one bothers to listen what special massage is being delivered in it

I Love the brother and he is doing a lot of good things. It is a very good discussion, guilt is a tool to correct our actions. It is also not good though to have pity party with guilt either and it is the twisted deception of Nafs like I am horrible, look at me what I have done. Admit, make the correction and move on. It is dis-empowering to let guilt define us.
Also, what I don't get it is that we don't need to make a good point by making Christianity wrong or bad. All of our brothers do this and it is divisive.
